Chapter 51

All hell broke loose as King Ramos stood up from his throne abruptly causing the whole cabinet to rise on their feet as well.

"What did you just say?" King Ramos asks.

All he could imagine was what Sophia would do to his child when she found out about the incident.

His heir was at stake because of the useless woman before him.

"I said I order her to be whipped your majesty...you should be happy....your orders are to kill any with on sight but I spared her for trial as a just Queen I am" Kerioth says nonchalantly.

She still hadn't realized she needed to stop talking as it was adding fuel to the problem at hand.

"You are a Queen and my second wife I do not wish to disrespect you in front of my Elders and guards so I'll give you a punishment that is lesser and more appropriate for a Queen" Ramos says gritting his teeth.

"Punishment?" Kerioth asks raising her eyebrows...even the Elders looked at their King like he had grown two heads.

"My King....." Elder Zadok begins before his is interrupted by the King's hands.

"She will be under house arrest which means she is not to leave her chambers for the next two months" Ramos says sitting back to his throne.

His words were law in Gabesh no one dared question his authority.

"Who dared take action when I have not decided yet? I make decisions here in Gabesh and you will Serve as a lesson to others to not take me lightly" Ramos explains.

He needed a back up explanation for his actions or else everyone would realize his linency on the Witch.

It was the right explanation for him...the best he could think of for the situation.

"I want to be the only one to kill any witch found or else such person will face the same punishment as the Witch" He declares signifying his guards to take Kerioth out.

And they did..after she had left Silence filled the whole room.

All the elders believed the King had somehow grown more heartless but Elder Zadok didn't think so....

The man was able to see through his lie and that was his advantage.

"Elder Zadok if you wish to speak you may now or remain silent forever" King Ramos says noticing his reaction.

"But my king do you not think two months is alot? she is a Queen afterall it's like a degrade to her title" He says.

"And what do you suggest? that I let down my standards and degrade myself so she wouldn't be? or do you suggest I just punish you instead?" He asks shrugging.

"No your majesty...you can do as you please" Elder Zadok says sitting back to his seat.

"Now,shall we continue our meeting?" Ramos asks like nothing had happened a few minutes ago.
