CHAPTER 2

She laid her head on his chest feeling his heart beat, it felt so good to be with him like this. For over a month they had shared the same bed and they had never been this intimate before. She was happy and overjoyed remembering everything that happened to them. He had made her a woman, he had made love to her throughout the night and she didn't even mind that she will be in this state in the morning.

He was brushing her hair as they were both awake.

'Are you okay?' he asked her and she giggled.

'I don't think I am,' she answered, she was not okay at all. She could feel the pain piercing through her legs, her back very sore and it was as if her whole body had been hit by a heavy weight truck.

'That is normal especially after what happened. Today you just sleep in the bed and I will take care of you,' he said and kissed the top of her head.

'Can I do that?' she asked him.

'Yes you can unless you had something you were supposed to do.'

'I need to write an assignment,' she told him.

'You can do that in bed. I will go and prepare the tub, you wait for me here,' he said as he left the bed.

She watched him as he walked towards the bathroom wearing nothing but a pair of boxers. He was one hot man and he was all hers. She woke up from the bed and gave all her strength to come down. She checked the bed and she had spoiled the sheets. This was embarrassing and since the staff was not there she removed the sheets of the bed. She was busy with the sheets when he showed up behind her. He wrapped his arms around her waist and planted a kiss on her shoulder.

'I will take care of them so you go and take a nice warm bath,' he said. She turned around to face him and shook her head.

'I can't let you deal with them. I can do it,' she insisted but he gave her that look.

'Are you defying you husband's wish now?'

'No, I ....'

He carried her in his arms and took her to the bathroom. She held onto him tightly as he gently put her down. He undressed her first before putting her in the tub.

'Take your time, I will make breakfast for you,' he said as he kissed her on the cheek.

She watched as he left the bathroom and she began to play with the water. She couldn't hide her joy at all. When did this cold man turned to be such a warmhearted being? If that Wendy was here to see then she would be glad. She was going to forget about everything she said and concentrate on her happiness.

He watched her as she devoured the bowl of cereals he had made for her. She was hungry after all, yesterday they forgot to eat and today he was going to feed her. He wanted to spend the day with her and make her happy so that she may forget about everything that had happened so far. She was good at hiding it that he never suspected that she was going through a lot.

'What will you do after you are done with your assignment?' he asked her.

'I don't know but I was planning on digging behind the house,' she said and he looked at her with disbelief.

'You want to dig? How can you dig when you are the lady of this mansion?' he asked her shocked with what he was hearing.

'I forget about that sometimes, I will have someone dig then,' she corrected herself.

'What are you planning on doing there?' he asked now curious of what she was up to.

'I want to make a vegetable garden, it can keep me occupied when I am at home,' she answered.

'We can just buy them like we always do,' he told her but she gave him that look again.

'I know but I want to do it,' she said sounding serious that he gave in.

'I will find the best gardeners for you then. I don't want you to strain yourself,' he said as he stood up.

Sean took the dishes to the sink and washed them. She watched as her husband did the chores and he was sexy. How could she be so lucky to have such a man like that?

'If you keep on staring at me like that I am afraid that you will have to skip classes this coming week,' he said as he turned around.

She choked on herself and drank some water. How did he even notice that she was staring at him?

'I will go and do my assignment now,' she said as she stood up.

She was going to go as far away from him as possible before she does something she will regret. He caught up to her and embraced her in a hug.

'Aren't you forgetting something?' he asked as he locked eyes with her.

She shook her head, she was done with everything so what was he talking about?

'I don't know,' she answered him.

'Let me remind you then,' he said and lowered his mouth to hers. She smiled and closed her eyes as his lips touched hers. He kissed her for a while before he broke the kiss and looked at her.

'Go and finish your assignment and after that I will take you out,' he said and she looked at him with joy.

'I will be done soon,' she said breaking away from him. She rushed up the stairs to go and start her assignment. She couldn't wait to go out with him. He was always so busy that they had little time to each other. She didn't know why he returned earlier but she was just glad that he did.

Sean was brought into his current family by his mother who was marrying the Chairman, his stepfather. Life was difficult for him back then because he wasn't a blood relative of the family. But because he loved his mother so much he bore with whatever they brought his way. He wanted his mother to be happy and that happiness was something his step father brought into her life. His father was a total psychopath; he abused his mother so much that the day he died he didn't cry but celebrated. Seeing his mother being free from all that pain brought relief to him.

Despite the hate he received from his step siblings his step father never gave up on him. He was one of the executives in the company and gave his all to the company.

'I am done,' Selena said and he looked up and saw her. She looked lovely in that summer dress.

'Okay, let me finish up and we will leave,' he said as he closed his files.

'I will be in the lounge,' she said and left.

She was the only one who was capable of bringing a smile on his face even when he didn't show it. He stood up and followed her to the lounge. He took her hand in his and led her outside where his car was parked.

'Are we taking this one?' she asked as they stood next to the blue Bugatti Chiron.

'Yes, we are. I want to make your heart race like crazy,' he said and unlocked the car.

He helped her first before he settled himself in his seat. He switched the ignition on and drove out of the compound. The look on her face as he drove at normal speed was exciting. What if he were to speed what would be her reaction? He was going to leave that for another time.

'Where are we going?' she asked him after they had travelled for a while.

'Let's go shopping,' he answered her.

'But I have enough clothes already,' she protested and he smiled.

'I know but we should buy more. You need to spend the money, it's all yours. If you are that worried we can donate some of the clothes you are not wearing to the orphanage,' he suggested.

'If you say so then let's do that then,' she agreed quickly. He could see that she no longer was worried. She was a caring person and that made his heart flutter.

He parked his car and holds his wife's hand and led her into the shopping mall. He wasn't here on business but on a personal matter. He was in charge of the shopping mall, so many people knew him. They greeted him wherever they went that he saw his wife shying away.

'You need to be courageous enough. I don't want to see you slouching like that. Be proud and be confident, you are my wife and don't let anyone step on you,' he told her.

'I will keep that in mind,' she said looking up to him.

He knew what people said behind her back and he just wished he could deal with them. He brought her here to show the world that he wasn't ashamed to be with his wife. She might be young but she was the person he chose to be with him. He pulled her close to him and she blinked at him. She knew what was coming but didn't protest. He loved how she submitted to him, how she made him have all the control. This made him want to see that she was happy and well taken care of. He lowered his mouth to hers, not caring about the people who were looking at them. He was making a mark on his woman, he was showing everyone that she was his and he was hers. She hooked her arms around his neck and he devoured her. If it wasn't for his cell phone ringing, he would have forgotten that there were in public. He reluctantly broke the kiss and she slowly opened her eyes, her cheeks were all red from blushing. He planted another kiss on her forehead before answering his call.

'Just set it for tomorrow, I can't meet anyone today. I have a date with my beautiful wife,' Sean informed Brian who laughed on the other side.

'I will do that. Enjoy your date sir,' Brian said and hung up.

'Let's go now,' he said and held her hand once more.

She could feel the butterflies in her stomach; Sean was acknowledging her in public. Ever since they got married he had never went with her anywhere in public like this. This was a dream come true, she no longer had to feel sorry for herself anymore. She hold onto him tightly and never let go as they went into this boutique.

Inside was this other woman, she was dressed in such a manner that she wouldn't even dress like. She was a beautiful woman and someone she had seen her husband with before they were married. She didn't like this at all; it was as if she was walking into the lion's den with her two feet.

'Sean, I didn't know you will be dropping by. I can see that you brought your wife,' the woman said and she could hear dissatisfaction in her voice.

'She needs some clothes; can you help her with that?' Sean asked as he led her to sit down on the couch.

'Yes, I can do that. What a kind of clothes are you looking for?' the woman asked her and she looked at her husband. He was the one who wanted her to have some clothes so he should be the one to pick the clothes.

'I will leave the rest to you,' she said looking at her husband.

'Are you sure that you will not regret it?' he asked joking with her.

'I love everything you choose for me,' she said and meaning every word.

'Good then, you follow me and I will make you pretty,' he said.

Selena followed her husband as he browsed through the clothes that were on display. He stopped in front of one section which made her stop too. She looked at the clothes that had made him stop ad she looked at him. Was he serious? She had never worn something like that before and he wants her to wear that?

He smiled at her as if he knew the dilemma she was in.

'I will take the whole row,' he instructed and she looked at him.

'I can't wear those, those clothes are a bit short,' she protested but he pulled her towards him.

'You will look gorgeous in these, trust me. You should leave it all to me,' he whispered in her ear and she was blushing all over.

She was going to go along with him, if that was how he wanted her to dress then she was going to comply.

They resumed their shopping and he took more of the same clothes before paying the bill. They left the boutique and she was happy after seeing how mad that woman was after the way Sean was all over her.

'Why did you do that?' she asked as they went to the next shop.

'She is a real bother and it was time to show her that I belong to you,' he said and she felt touched.

'Thank you for doing that,' she said feeling grateful.

'I will not let anyone make you sad, so cheer up but if you are that grateful then you can do something for me,' he said looking at her.

'I will do anything for you. Just tell me,' she said wondering what her husband might come up with again. Last time she made a promise like that she ended up marrying him.

'I will tell you when I think about it,' he said and she smiled. He was toying with her, she could tell.

The rest of the day went so well, they shopped more again. He bought her bags, jewelry and shoes.

They visited a fancy restaurant where they spent their time enjoying a romantic dinner. It felt good being with him like this, having him care for her like this was just amazing.

'So where you not scared when you took your road test?' he suddenly asked her. She had forgotten about that issue already.

'I was but I thought of you so I did my best,' she answered him blushing again.

'I am happy for you. I would love for you to drive me one day,' he said as he sipped his coffee.

'I will do that after some more practice,' she said not wanting to cause an accident.

'I trust that you will do well. Just don't belittle yourself and have more faith,' he said as he placed his hand on top of hers.

'I will follow you from now on and be strong,' she made a promise.

'That's my wife, we should go back home now. You have classes in the morning,' he said and it stroked her. She had completely forgotten about that. She just wished that the weekend will last a bit longer, so that she will be with her husband.

'Okay. Will you drop me at school tomorrow?' she asked him.

'Are you not going to drive yourself at school now that you have your license?' he asked back.

'For just tomorrow, please!' she begged him and he gave in.

'I will do that but after tomorrow I need you to behind the wheel and drive yourself to school,' he said and she nodded her head.

'I promise that I will do that,' she said even when she wasn't sure which car she will be using for that.

They were on their way out of the restaurant when they met someone who seemed to know her husband so well. She didn't know her husband's colleagues that much so it was a bit awkward to be standing there.

'What a coincidence? I can see that you are here with your wife. I couldn't congratulate you on your marriage since I was away on personal matters. Congratulations,' the other man said and her husband smiled at him.

'Thank you. Selena meet a god friend of mine, Victor and his sister Vivian. This is my wife Selena,' Sean made the introductions.

'It's nice to meet you,' Selena said as she stretched her hand to greet the man and the other woman who seemed to be her age.

'It's nice to meet you too,' Victor said in response.

'Are you here to have some dinner?' Sean asked.

'Yes, I came to spoil my sister. She will be attending Empire University from tomorrow,' Victor said and Selena's face light up.

'What a coincidence. My wife is a freshman there,' Sean said as he looked at her.

'Really? That will be great. Can we be friends?' Vivian was all over her and she just couldn't stop it.

For the first time someone wanted to be her friend but since she had no idea who these people were she looked at her husband for an answer and he smiled at her.

'Yes, we can be friends if that's what you want,' she agreed on the request.

'That's good then. Can I have your number?'

Selena gave Vivian her number while the two men talked to each other.

'I will let you continue on your way, let's set up a meeting and talk another day,' Victor said and they all agreed.

'I will call you,' Vivian said as they walked away.

She smiled at her as she entered the elevator.

'She can talk a lot,' Selena said as she took a deep breath.

'She is only that way to people who she is comfortable with. You will be good friends,' Sean said and she looked at him.

'She is not a bad person?' she asked worried that she might make a mistake and befriend someone who will end up turning her world upside down.

'She is a god kid just like you,' he said patting her on her head.

Since her husband was saying that then it meant that she was in the clear.

They went to the car and after fastening their seat belts, Sean drove off the hotel for the mansion. She was tired and she needed some rest. She had classes the whole day tomorrow and she was relieved since she no longer had to do those part time jobs again. All she had to worry about was her home and studies.

It was going to be a bright day, she had made a friend for the first time and she couldn't wait to see where it was going to take her.
