Chapter 9 - I'll Be Responsible

Ye Soo Ya woke up feeling sore in between her legs, her head was pounding.

She held her head and murmured a scolding to herself. "Soo Ya, that's what you get when you drink too much, she hissed and stroke her hair with her hand. "If it wasn't for those old hags planning on getting me married, reminding me of that jerk who betrayed me. I wouldn't have lost my mind and sought solace in alcohol.

An image suddenly flashed across her mind, she smiled and said, "That was indeed a lovely dream, Infact it feels so real that I'm feeling really sore like it really happened. She placed her legs down and stood up. the sheet slid off her body to display her naked body. She looked at her naked body and noticed all the love bites around her body, she cursed loudly. "F*ck!

"Shit! what have I done? how could I be so careless? who was he? I don't even know him? Oh My God." Soo Ya covered her face with her hand. She looked towards the bathroom as she could hear the sound of water coming from there in there. She stood still and thought aloud. "Could he still be here?

The bathroom door opened and he stepped out leaving her mesmerized. with her mouth agape she stared at his bare chest. His perfectly toned abs. his pack was tight, his biceps and triceps were perfect. his hair was wet and curly. his face was moulded like a Demi-god. Soo Ya couldn't close her mouth as she watched the man standing before her.

"Is this the god of beauty? she wondered as she gawked at his half naked body.

"He is just too Perfect!

"Beautiful." She murmured softly. Forgetting she was still naked, his thic masculine voice brought her out of her daze as he bombarded her with questions.

"Who are you? Why are you in my room? Where is Su Min? And what do you plan on doing walking around like that? He asked, pointing at her naked self.

Soo Ya quickly collected herself. she wrapped the sheet around her body and retorted. "I should be asking you that question. "Who are you? what are you doing in my room? and who is Su Min? Did you spend the night here? Did we...." she was cut short by his words again.

"Your room? Jun Pyo scoffed. "How is this your room? he shakes his head in disbelief. this is my room, And I want you to get out now!

"Get Out? is that what you're supposed to say to me after what happened between us yesterday? what do you take me for? she shouted.

Listening to her talk about yesterday. Jun Pyo thought about it and, images of last night started flashing across his mind. He remembered the face he was entangled with and the fragrance.

"Shit! That explains it! The fragrance was different because the person was different! Jun Pyo had been wondering why Su Min smelled different, however he didn't think much of it."

He kicked the wall and hissed in anger. "Fuck! what have I done? he turned around to look at Soo Ya. "Um...Miss I am really sorry; I don't understand what happened yesterday. I actually took you for someone else, I...."

Jun Pyo was cut short by the sound of the doorbell. he looked towards the door and fear gripped him. "Who could that be? Could it be Su Min? He tug his hair in frustration. "I'm doomed."

He turned to Soo Ya and said, "Hide please, please hide yourself.

"Why? Why should I hide? Soo Ya shouted. This is my room and It's you who should hide.

Hearing her being so stubborn, Jun Pyo had no choice but to plead with her. "Please, this is my room not yours. if you don't believe me, we could find out later whose room this is but right now you should hide." He said as he tossed her and hid her behind the curtain.

Jun Pyo rushed towards the door forgetting he was wearing nothing but a towel. He opened the door. He froze when he saw who was at the door.

"Mom, What are you doing here? He asked confused, He glanced at the man beside his mother and wondered what his mother was up to again. "Mom, why are you here and who is this you have brought?

"I should ask you that! The man shouted and stepped in "What are you doing here? This is supposed to be my daughter's room. Where is she?!

"What? Your daughter's room?! Jun Pyo's eyes widened.

Mrs. Gu coughed and held Jun Pyo's shoulder. "Did you see a young lady here?

"Of course, he should! This is her permanent room and there's no way she could have disappeared." The man barked, shooting Jun Pyo an angry glare.

Hearing her father's angry voice, Soo Ya stepped out from behind the curtain and said, ''Dad I'm here."

Mr. Ye looked at his daughter from her head to her toes and he was embarrassed to find her in such a state. "Why are you like this? He looked from Jun Pyo to Soo Ya. "What happened here?

He noticed the bite marks around her neck and faced Gu Jun Pyo. "What did you do to my daughter?

Mrs. Gu went forward and she raise her hand to motion for Mr. Ye to calm down. "Calm down, Mr Ye, this is my son Jun Pyo, and since he already met your daughter, then that has made our job a lot easier. Don't you think? we wanted to match make them but they met each other on their own and seem to be having a sweet relationship with one another. Don't you think it's really good it turned out this way? Can't you see that their fate is what connected them to each other."

"Mom." Jun Pyo cuts in. "There seems to be a misunderstanding, I...."

"Soo Ya, go change and put on some decent clothes then, we'll talk. Mrs. Gu said then she turned to her Jun Pyo. "You too."

Shortly after, Soo Ya came out fully dressed. she greeted her father politely. Jun Pyo also came back. fully dressed. He sat beside his mother. "Mom actually I...."

"Listen Jun," Mrs. Gu began. ignoring Jun Pyo's attempt to clarify things. She knew what he was about to say. "Here's what happened, your father and I arranged a girl for you to marry. I wanted you two to meet today so that we could announce your engagement on your birthday. So, I came with her father to meet her here in her hotel room to convince her to meet you.

"Huh? Jun Pyo asked perplexed. What do you mean?

Mrs. Gu continued, without replying to Jun Pyo's question. "This hotel belongs to the Ye family and because she doesn't get along well with her step mother. Soo Ya chose to stay permanently in the hotel after she returned from Japan. Hence, I came here to meet her. Mrs. Gu patted Jun Pyo's hand proudly. "You know what is so great about all this? " I was actually here to bring Soo Ya to you, but then i found you here."

"Dad, is he the one you are insisting that I get married to?" Soo Ya asked her father shyly.

"Yes." Mr Ye nodded.

"It's okay then, I agree to it." Soo Ya said, blushing.

Mr Ye was surprised to hear Soo Ya agree so easily. he had been trying to persuade for a long time and she has been refusing every time. She never liked to listen whenever the topic was related to marriage. in fact, he had brought Mrs Gu along just to convince her.

"You agree? You don't mind anymore?"

"I don't mind." Soo Ya repeated.

Mrs. Gu smiled happily and said, "It's settled then, you'll both get engaged in three days and we'll make plans for the wedding afterwards.

"But mom I..."

Jun Pyo's words was cut short by his mother as she quickly chimed in to stop him from saying what he was about to say.

"You're surprised right? Yes son, it's normal to be, I was also surprised when I saw you open the door with nothing but a towel around your waist, and I believe after what transpired between you two, you will take responsibility for her because you know what will happen if words got out. Mrs. Gu said, whispering the last sentence such that just both of them could hear.

Jun Pyo could note the hidden meaning behind her words. he nodded reluctantly. "I'll Be Responsible."
