Drowning

Had watched his girls sleep peacefully in his arms. It was already late in the day and they were yet to wake up. Levi knew without a doubt that Zane would be worried. 

He took out his phone and gave the man a call. He could have just sent a message but didn't. Zane deserved at least a call. Knowing how he felt for him, he didn't wish to cause him discomfort.

"Hello,".. Zane's frantic voice interrupted him before he could say anything. Recalling how he left in the morning, the man felt a little guilty. 

"Hey, calm down! I ran into a small issue. I will explain the details later. Just called to let you know that I am safe. Don't worry about me. "

Zane said some words back and the phone disconnected. Levi smiled unconsciously only to feel a searing gaze on his face.

He turned his gaze toward her and gave her an apologetic smile. After they fell asleep, Levi removed the human mask he had on.
