Lesson 001

She gobbled up the food in front of her and it stained her mouth.

She was eating clumsily and hastily but she didn't care.

Minutes later, the door creaked and Raven entered.

"Are you done?"

He asked as he approached her.

"Yes"

She lied... She didn't want him to see her gobbling the meal.

His brows twitched as he saw her littered mouth.

'She can't even eat properly'

He sighed and rubbed his temple.

"Clean your mouth and come with me"

He deadpanned.

Nova quickly picked up a napkin and dabbed her mouth with it.

After doing that, she stood up but the chair held her gown making her fall to the ground.

She quickly picked herself up as she tried to compose herself.

She saw him start moving and she needed not to be told to follow him.

They passed through several hallways until they got to a door.

He pushed the door open for her to see a magnificent library.

"Wow"

She couldn't help but open her mouth in awe.

She had a personal library back at home, but this was just top-notch.

She blinked her eyes continuously.

The books were carefully arranged.

"Come here"

Hearing the voice, she noticed she was still at the door while he was already seated waiting for her.

"Sorry"

She murmured and walked up to him.

She got to the chair opposite him and was about to sit when she saw him shake his head negatively.

"No... Sit on my lap facing me"

He deadpanned as he stared at her.

She swallowed hard hearing him.

Her eyes widened as she moved and swallowed"

"What? I am about to teach you what couples do. Lesson 001. Kiss"

He continued as he noticed her confused expression.

Nova gulped as she heard him. Kiss?

She thought of every possible way to avoid it and finally came up with one.

"Don't worry, we don't necessarily have to kiss in front of everyone. We can hug, you can hold my waist and pull me closer to yourself. You know. And act intimate"

She grinned trying to avert the kissing part.

He looked at her grinning face with displeasure.

"And what if I say no?"

He asked as he quirked his brows.

Nova's grinning face died down immediately after she heard him.

"There are a lot of things you need to learn... You can't even eat properly... But that's going too far... For that kissing aspect, I'll leave it for now"

He deadpanned.

Nova smiled hearing that she wouldn't be kissing him.

"But... Don't stop me when I'll do things worse than kissing you in presence of my family... In exchange for the kissing, we'll be pleasuring each other"

He said without filtering his words.

"In presence of my parents"

He continued looking at her dead in the eye.

Nova listened carefully. But in his entire statement, only one word stuck to her ears.

"What is pleasuring?"

She asked obliviously.

Raven's brows furrowed as he looked at her.

"I don't do virgins... Would have explained to you what immense pleasuring means"

Raven answered her as he supported his jaw with his hand.

Nova tilted her head as she tried to understand what he meant.

"Okay then. The flight is by ten"

Raven said dismissing her.

"Shadow, lead her to her room"

He deadpanned, and out of the darkness, Shadow emerged.

She wondered how he was able to stay hidden without her knowing he was even in the room with them.

Then she stood up, gave him one more glance, and followed Shadow.

"That was a total excuse you know"

Shadow grinned as he entered the room and sat opposite Raven.

"She looks familiar. Like I've seen her somewhere before, but at the same time, I've never seen her until today"

Raven said as he racked his brain thinking.

Shadow's smile died down as he heard Raven.

'Could she be the one from the prophecy?'

Shadow thought but decided to keep it to himself.

The next morning, Nova woke up tired.

Maybe it was because she'll be traveling with him to see her parents, she didn't know.

Her phone beeped and she stretched her hands to get it.

It was 7:35, but that didn't amaze her. It was the message sent.

'Hey, Nova. Got this number from a friend. I don't know if this is your number, but I hope it is. It's me Dylan from school'

That was all the message held, but it was enough to warm her heart.

She smiled at the phone contemplating what to write. Dylan was her school crush. He always had a soft corner for her in school, but she couldn't tell if he liked her.

'Alright'

She wrote at first and then cleaned it.

'I've missed you so much

She wrote back to him. She blushed as she stared at the message. She didn't care if he was going to judge her. After all, it wasn't a bad thing to miss a person.

She waited for some minutes anticipating his reply, but none came.

She sighed, dropped her phone, then went to the bathroom to have her bath.

She came out of the bathroom in a towel and dabbed her hair with a kerchief.

She went to her phone happily, but the smile died down seeing no reply.

'Maybe he's busy'

She smiled again.

She thought he wouldn't remember the little time they spent before graduating and she didn't know how to reach him.

She slipped into a black T-shirt and blue pants.

She applied lip gloss and tied her hair into a bun...

She picked up her phone, then opened the door to see Shadow standing there.

And without speaking a word, he started walking, and she followed.

His eyes darted to her. She was beaming, but the reason she was beaming, he didn't know why.

She held her phone tightly in her hand.

"Did I keep you waiting"

She softly asked smiling.

"Seems like someone is in a good mood"

He deadpanned.

"Asher will do you a quick makeover. You can't go to see my parents dressed like that"

He said as he played with his tongue inside his mouth.

He was sitting on a chair relaxed like he was some sort of god that controlled the universe.

She rolled her eyes to look at the person he referred to as Asher.

"Please come with me, miss"

Asher said as he flashed her a smile.

She dropped her phone and followed him to another room.

Not too long after she left, her phone beeped.

"Shadow, get me the phone"

Raven deadpanned.

Shadow did as instructed and handed Raven the phone.

It was a message from an unknown number that read

'Yes dearie, I am happy that you have missed me as much as I have done. Please text me your location, and let's fix a date. Looking forward to seeing you girl'

And a winking sticker was added to the message.

Raven's jaw clenched as he held the phone.

'Was this why she was excited?'

He asked himself.

"Shadow, get me details of the person behind this number. Quickly"

Raven said as amusement twitched all over his face.

"I am done with her"

Asher grinned as he walked out of the room prestigiously.

"You know, it wasn't so stressful, as the girl you brought to me is already so beautiful. If not that you're married to her, I would have..."

"Where is she?"

Raven deadpanned. He found nothing beautiful in that girl.

Right now, she was only a tool to be used.

And he hated the way Asher blabbed about his handiwork.

Nova stepped out gently trying not to fall. She felt so uncomfortable in the gown. The gown was pale yellow, with a lot of gold embedded in it.

That wasn't the main problem. The main issue was that it hugged her body.

So tight and she felt embarrassed. Her curves were highlighted and it made her blush so hard.

Raven looked at her, the way she tried to hide her flushed face.

"We'll be leaving now"

Raven deadpanned looking at her.

"Ok"

She smiled, her eyes searching for her phone.

"If it's your phone. It's seized"

Raven said seeing her searching for something with her eyes.

Her smile died down immediately after she heard him.

"Why?"

She retorted annoyed.

"Because I felt the need to do so, Nova"

He answered stressing her name.

"It's not fair"

She murmured under her breath.

He stood up and with one stride, covered their distance.

He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her to himself.

Her breath hitched as she blinked her eyes continuously.

"Is this how you intend to see my parents? They'll know once that you are impersonating. You get flustered so easily, Nova"

He whispered in her ears with a hoarse voice that made her clutch her dress.

"Do we have to be this intimate to make them believe?"

She asked back hating the fact that he'll be holding her waist from now on.

"Yes love"

He whispered so seductively.

Her legs weakened immediately after she heard him.

She was getting uncomfortable with their position.

He removed his arm from her waist and ruffled his hair with his hands.

Opening the door, he started walking to the car park.

It was time to leave.
