A whole new world

"AAAAHHHHHH!" "Huh, why am I screaming?" I look around and see nothing but forest. It looks kinda picturesque to be honest nice and quiet with plenty of room to walk. Only question is how did I get here. I remember I wasn't camping out, haven't done that in years and this doesn't look like any of the places I would have done so. Not to mention the lack of gear. I start looking for my phone to call for help and realize.

"HUH!" These aren't my clothes! I'm wearing some kind of slip on boots that feel like leather, grey cotton pants, and a grey cotton shirt that feels way too rough for normal. As I'm looking down my hair gets in the way I brush it back and pause. It's gold! I don't have gold hair and it certainly wasn't this long!. I start to panic and do a full body pat down.

"Okay my hair is long and gold, I can stretch further than before, and I feel more in shape than ever while being a slight bit shorter." This is wrong! I need to find something to check but I don't think this is my body.

"Hooooo, okay lets calm down and think this through. I'm in a forest I have no knowledge of, no communication ability, just the clothes on my back, and a body that I don't think is mine." okay the possibilities are someone threw me in a VR after knocking me out, I'm having a lucid dream, or I got isekaied. The first is silly forget it the technology is not there. The second is likely but could be dangerous if untrue (read enough fanfictions to know not to trust that). That leaves for now the last and equally as silly isekai. Now since the safest bet is to go with isekai I should

"GYAAAA!"

"Huh wha" I whip my head toward the yell and see a goblin running at me. I quick panic and start running away and then think.

'Wait if its just one I might be able to take it and if there's more I won't be able to run anyway!' With this in mind I look for a big enough tree and get behind it and face my attacker. He's almost on me but with the tree between us. As he goes around the tree I slide around it to get behind him. The tree is not big enough to hide me so he notices but the time he takes to turn around is enough. Adrenalin soaring I punch him in the face as his claws scratch me. Disoriented he reels from the hit.

'Since when was I that strong?' Taking the chance I jump on the creature to pin it and start a ground pound. Admittedly I'm not very good at it but the goblin is small and I seem to be stronger. I pound away at it aiming for the face and windpipe. The goblin swings in retaliation and leaves some nasty cuts but adrenalin for the win. Then some small spark of a brain fires off from the pain. I get up and try to flip the goblin and get it on its stomach. The goblin too disoriented to think actually helps by trying to get up only to be pushed back down this time on its belly. Once its pinned again I pull back on its arms and twist them to break them or at least dislocate them. There is a sickening crack, twice. Once the arms are useless I start choking the goblin. Its long and drawn out with lots of gasping and wheezing and me realizing that if he has friends anywhere near I am dead meat. Luckily nothing happens besides the goblin eventually expiring.

"Well that was quite something for first contact." I get up and take a look at myself. I'm bleeding from multiple cuts of the arms and stomach region most small but a few bigger ones that are making me feel queasy. Now that the adrenaline is wearing off the pain and shock are kicking in.

'Gonna have to find some way to patch these up and I don't have anything besides my clothes. First things first though and that is find some protection.' Seeing that I'll live my first action is to see if there are any big sticks around I can use as a walking stick slash weapon. Instead of a stick I find a box.

"What's this." Its small, blue with gold decorations and eight symbols four on each end. It looks slightly familiar.

"Wait is this the Pan'ku box!" If this is the Pan'ku box what in creation is it doing here.

'Okay if this is the Pan'ku box I better take it with me. No telling what will happen if I leave it here and I don't want any demons running around. Plus the fight proves this isn't a dream so isekai it is. Only why did I get this instead of awesome powers. Wait, if this is here maybe Shendu and his talismans are as well, but if so do I have to go look for them or something?' Taking the box in hand and moving on, I do manage to find a fairly decent stick. Sure its no godly weapon but for now it'll have to work. That taken care of I start use the old follow where the stick falls to pick a direction and make to leave. As I do though something makes me pause. Goblins are monsters which means it could have a magic gem in it. I pause to consider before shaking my head and moving on. Looking for a magic gem would take too much time as I don't know where it is and it could attract bigger monsters like wolves. Plus I am in no shape to take it and I don't even know if it has one. Looking at the sky I take a moment to gather myself before I start my journey.

"Looks like we're not in Kansas anymore."
