Hall Of Fame System

The Hall Of Fame, also known as the HOF, is a title given to athletes who have had a major impact or influence on a sport in a particular era. Kein Jr, or more commonly known as Nicolas Kein, has the desire to follow in the footsteps of his father, Anthony Kein, as an athlete to hold the title. It's just that there was a slight difference when Nicolas Kein chose to become a professional basketball player. That did not make his father, a former footballer, angry or force his son to continue on his path. Nicolas Kein went his own way after witnessing the glamour of basketball. He idolised the greatest three-point shooter in history, Stephen Curry. Nicolas Kein's determination and desire was further fueled when his family died in a plane crash while visiting his home country. Much of his father's legacy has been instrumental in his life as an athlete. But his journey has been filled with obstacles that he never expected during his basketball career, in order to earn a Hall Of Fame title like his father. *** The knee injury meant that Kein had no chance of playing in the Finals event that would have seen his team fly to America for the world competition. As a result, frustration shattered his mind and mentality and after his team's losing match, Kein received news from the national hospital that his family had an accident and died. Kein was increasingly helpless in the face of the harsh realities of his life. Losing the match in the final could be reclaimed another time, but what about the lives of their family? As time passed, he realised that he had found a capsule on the table in his room and ate it without regard for his health. Unexpectedly, the capsule flowed into his body and brought up a screen with his identity. ‘What is this? Why is a hologram with my identity appearing in front of my eyes?’ That morning was Nicolas Kein's first foray into the Hall Of Fame as a power-obsessed athlete. Perseverance, rage, and revenge will be guided by the ‘System’ of the mysterious capsule.

They were both scratching their non-itchy heads. Both were puzzled by the capsule that slipped into Roberto's letter. Although he had suspected that the capsule was not from his uncle, Kein still could not let go of some possibilities.

A deep understanding of the system's existence clearly emerged from within the capsule that was taken without hesitation. But what only puzzled the victim of the system was how did he came to be there and whether should he?

"Alright, Uncle Roberto. If you don't know anything about the capsule, there's no need to talk long." Kein gave up.

"Wait, this is quite awkward. What did you experience after accidentally swallowing the capsule? Did you experience any changes like sudden illness or something?" Uncle Roberto immediately stood up from his office seat, startling some of his partners.

Kein suddenly closed his mouth. He could not say if a system was trying to organise his life into a basketball athlete that he could not imagine. There was even a possibility that if an assertion and compulsion regarding the truth of the system residing in his body, his uncle would immediately take him to a psychiatrist.

"Kein, why are you silent? Did something really happen?"

"Ah, sorry I was daydreaming. Nothing happened. It's just that I feel a little better than before."

"Really? Then I won't have to go through the trouble of flying there. Well, have a good life, Kein. Don't forget to call me often."

"Sure, uncle." Kein disconnected the call and headed straight for the canteen. He just realised that it was almost lunchtime and he didn't want to run out of his favourite dishes.

The academy was not too crowded with students or teachers as they were focused on filling their stomachs and resting their minds. Including the students who were already prepared at their respective dining tables with food that none of them hated or felt nauseous. Everyone had appetites but the real thing could ruin appetites.

When Kein was planning to take a larger amount of food than usual, the system suddenly came up with a warning.

[Reduce foods that contain too much oil and sugar.]

[Try to eat a little more fibre and fruits.]

"What the... Why do you have to control what I eat?"

"Huh? What do you mean, man?" Kein inadvertently seemed to be talking to the other person in front of him.

He scratched his head and waved his hand in apology. Then intending to walk towards one of the places already filled with his classmates, the system reappeared.

[Warning!]

[Your growth will not be perfect if you overeat sugar.]

[Try to eat foods that contain fibre and fruits.]

[You've consumed too much sugar at breakfast.]

Kein clucked his tongue. He actually liked consuming sweet drinks and food since childhood. It was just that for now he didn't want to contradict the orders of the system that was just trying to build up the quality of his body. He walked back to the tables and display cases filled with various foods.

One of the chefs or waiters noticed a puzzled look. "Hey, kid? What do you need? Aren't you satisfied with our food?"

Kein stared back as he raised his head. The waitress' face approached his as if she wanted to kiss him.

"Sorry, madam. I just wanted to try something with fibre and a bit of fruit."

"Oh, well. You can put your food back and take what you want," said the waitress.

"Thank you. Let me choose with a little time to spare." Kein immediately paced back and forth and decided on the food that the system had determined. 'Damn it. What to eat..."

[For fruit that contains fibre, you can choose banana or avocado.]

[Apples work too, but eat them with the skin on.]

[For the main meal you can eat oatmeal with a little honey or your favourite vegetables.]

'I'm sorry, I never liked eating vegetables.' Kein cried inwardly.

"I really appreciate you, son," the waitress spoke to Kein again.

She had been observing the movements of Kein who seemed to be confused about finding a healthier meal than before.

"What?" Kein raised his eyebrows.

"Very few kids pay attention to the food they consume. I know you're almost an adult, but it's not easy to decide on food that nourishes your body even if you don't like it."

Kein still raised his eyebrows. He did not understand why the maid was suddenly rambling on as if she was already familiar with him. He instantly recalled the incident where his uncle who was easily familiar with one of the vagrants was positioning himself as. It turned out that the tramp had an apartment scattered in this city.

"If you're confused about what to eat, I can help you. I'm actually a bit sick of cooking delicious food every day but not healthy food." Just testing the extent of his knowledge of food worthy of consumption by professional athletes.

The young man nodded. "I understand how you feel. But there's no need to go that far because of the fact that I prefer sweet food and drinks, hahaha."

Without a word, the waiter returned to the kitchen with a furious face. Kein's face looked happy after successfully chasing away the person who disturbed him. After taking what the system suggested, Kein walked towards where Damian had placed an empty stool beside him, as usual. "Hey man, why are you... a jerk! What the hell?" his face was like someone who had not accepted change.

Kein scratched his non-itchy head while chuckling. "Why? I just wanted to eat this."

"No, no, I'm sure Kein who I know wouldn't be so stupid as to decide on a meal that's not even... filling at all. I wonder, who paid you the money to eat all this?"

"No one paid. Never mind, stop all this arguing before I don't want to eat this."

Kein immediately devoured his food quickly. When the first bite entered his mouth, his expression was indescribable. But in the end, he was able to finish what the system had prescribed even though his stomach was queasy and wanted to spit it all out.
