Graumen: The frog Chronicles

The Graumen.

Graumen are a race of people that have recently come into power.

They've had a history of being persecuted by the two other races that rule the country.

This may be because of the recognizable differences between them.

The Graumen are noticeably shorter than both the Truk's and the Esker's.

The Graumen measuring an average height of 1 meter, smaller than even the children of the other 2 races. While the adults of the Truk's and Esker's have an average height of 1.8 meters.

The Graumen also looking amphibian in nature, while the other 2 races are mammals.

Both the Truk's and the Esker's say that the Graumen are descendants of frogs and toads, or have evolved from them.

The Graumen are also physically weaker.

The Graumen's ancestors are said to have fled from the land and ran to the sea to escape the Truk's and the Esker's mighty power.

The Graumen's survivability and toughness is questioned, for this reason, by the other two races. They believe the Graumen to be incredibly weak, small, and cowardly.

Obviously, the Graumen disagree with the way the other two races portray them.

The Graumen realize the difference in height between the two races, but they believe their other attributes more than make up for it. The Graumen believe in their magic and athletic prowess more than makes up for their weaknesses.

As for the idea that Graumen are evolved from frogs... This is considered very disrespectful to the Graumen. They don't subscribe to the idea of evolution or that any of the species have the ability to evolve from lesser beings such as animals.

This comes from the Graumen's religious nature. The Graumens believe that a greater power or being is responsible for their creations. They believe this powerful entity is what created all living things in their world.

But, the Graumen are not prejudice over the fact that they are there God's favorite. Many Graumen believe that they are just one of his creations. The Graumen believe that every race was created equally with all races being given different strengths.

Although, the Graumen also participate in the proliferation of evolution as they often compare the other races to their animal counterpart, mockingly.

This is done to jeer at the Truks and Eskers idea of their ancestry.

The Truks looking close to a type of monkey found in the jungle to the south of the Graumen kingdom, who they believe migrated from the mountains farther down south.

And the Eskers looking similar to cats that can often be found on the streets of the Graumen Kingdom.

The Graumen will often say "Well, maybe you lot came from animals, but we sure didn't."

The Graumen believe they are the toughest out of all the races because of what they've had to endure. The Graumen don't believe they are cowards or that they would ever run away from a fight. The idea that their ancestors fled from anything is considered something worth dying over and would figth anyone who would dare claim it.

Graumen are a very proud people and resent the two races for questioning their toughness.
