Scarlet Desire
During the freezing winter of 1691 and 1693, witches were hunted down by humans. They were persecuted, captured, hanged and burned alive. The massacre lasted two years and was led by Reverend Samuel Parris. One of the witches, Sarah Good, gave birth to a daughter in her cell before being burned alive. When the fire consumed her, she promised to come back and make everyone pay for the evil done to her.
Three hundred and twenty-four years have now passed since the witch trials. Lucy Magenta and Sofia Blacks are two twenty-four year old girls. They grew up together in the state of Oregon in America and are like fingers on a hand. But they don't know a big secret about their origins. Lucy is descended from the Reverend Samuel Pariss. The same one who burned Sofia's ancestor, Sarah Good, alive.
Sofia's father, Jason Blacks, upon discovering the events that took place 324 years earlier, decides to revive his ancestor. To do so, he seeks help from the vampires and other creatures of the night who are intimately involved in the process of resurrecting Sarah.
