Chapter One

The night of a full moon and the werewolves were busy transforming from their human form to their wolf form.It was another hunting night. The alpha of the moonlight pack was also getting ready but it was obvious that his beta, Stephen was in no haste to go with them.

"Come on, beta. Don't tell me you aren't going out with us tonight?"

" Yeah,I don't feel like... "

" Or are you scared that your wolf form might just end up eating a human. "The alpha teased." That is exactly what we are supposed to do on a full moon night. "

The beta only shrugged, he knew that his wolf side might end up controlling him and he swore never to kill a human being for no good reason.

"Don't worry, alpha.i will stay behind like I have always done."

The alpha laughed out loud and hard ." Oh, don't be such a puppet. Even the female ones are going out..."

" Except the Luna. "Beta corrected. The Luna was his sister. They both hated causing causalities.

"When I meant everyone, I meant everyone.Even the Luna." And at the mention of the Luna, she came out.

"Your Majesty," the beta greeted."Are you in favour of this outing? ".

"You know,Stephen that we have no choice when it comes to the alpha 's order. So, I was left with no choice and so are you." The Luna explained and the beta shrugged involuntarily.

"Now, that's the spirit." The alpha said and they headed out.

"Are you sure we are in the right place?" Joan asked her crazy boyfriend for the umpteenth time since they got to the woods.

"Chill sweetheart, I'm sure we are in the right place. I was actually here few days ago and that was how I found the route to moonlight pack."

" Moonlight pack? Is that what they call their pack? "

" Yes Hun, "Atlas answered and kept moving on with his map in hand. He had walked a few meters forward before he realized that his girlfriend was no longer at his side." What the fuck! "He said and immediately, he turned and found her sitting under a baobab tree." What was that, Joan? You scared the bloody hell out of me? "

" Sorry I did, Atlas but I just don't feel good about this place. I mean, how can we be invading a werewolves' pack? For goodness sakes anything can happen. "

" Chill, okay? Just chill! What? What? What's wrong with me invading their pack? And it's a full moon. They would not be in the pack, "he said, trying to convince his girlfriend." Please honey, trust when I say this, I promise nothing is going to happen to any of us, okay? Just calm down and give me your support like you have always done,okay?"

Joan nodded in fear and hopped unto her boyfriend's back as they continued on their journey.

After few minutes, they arrived at moon light pack and just as Atlas had hoped, the pack was strangely empty. He was however hopping he would see a few werewolves so he could take photos for his science project.

"Wow!" Joan exclaimed when she saw moonlight high school. "Isn't this amazing?" She was taking pictures as well.

The couple advanced further to have a better view. From the tombstones to the school,to the playground; everything was in place like how a normal human environment would look like.

"Wow!" Atlas said and walked further to a statue of a half werewolf and half man. He took pictures and made to touch it. Then he saw the inscription 'dont touch'. It looked funny to him that even these werewolves which he thought were barbaric salvages had law in place. Joan came close just as Atlas made to touch it.

"Atlas! No,don't touch!"

Atlas gave a hard laugh at his scared girlfriend. "What? Don't tell me you are scared of this? It's just a statue.."

" Yeah, it's just a statue but it says don't touch. "

Atlas laughed again." Don't tell me you are scared of such nonsense. Okay don't worry, I will touch and nothing will happen."he said and touched the statue." See, nothing happened, you were just making a mountain out of a molehill." Atlas laughed as Joan gave out a sigh of relief. Atlas was still touching the statue while Joan was taking photos. Mistakenly, he presses a button and it made a sound.

"What was that?" Joan asked, turning around. She was beginning to get scared again. "Babe, I think we have had enough. Let us return back home.I have a sinister feeling that something is wrong."

" Come on, Joan. Does every little thing has to give you the creeps? I'm sure it's nothing and besides, we haven't seen any werewolf."

" Stop this, Atlas.Lets just get outta ... What the fuck was that? "Joan exclaimed when they saw a werewolf coming their direction. He must have heard the noise." Holy shit! We are in trouble. "

Atlas looked around. There were shades of darkness everywhere. They could use that as an advantage to get out but just when he told Joan of his plan, he saw other werewolves coming out. It was then it dawned on them that they were not only trapped but doomed.

The werewolves came out in their human form and then transformed into their werewolves form to the amazement of the frightened couple.They had thought that they were lucky enough to his under the shade of darkness but when one of the werewolves sniffed the air, they realized the fact that the werewolves were able to detect the smell or scent of predators from up to a mile away.

Joan gasped and Atlas quickly covered her mouth and moved her further into the darkness to keep them undetected from the werewolves.

They moved farther and farther into the building and Joan turned to face a statue that looked exactly like a live werewolf and made to scream but .....
