概要

Follow your dreams only to get stuck halfway is not something that anyone wants. David Hunter was someone like that, his dream was to play in the first league of the European league. Either with giants of Barcelona or Real Madrid. Some dreams only stay like that, only to dream no matter how hard you try. Or do they? ************************* I write this for my own amusement, if you like to read things to pass time, you are welcome to have a look. Chapter 1Changing

My name is David Hunter, your parents told you that if you try enough and follow your dreams you will eventually accomplish them? THEY LIED! THEY LIED LIED LIED!

Ok, I will calm down. Why I'm saying that?

Well, I-

*Ambulance sirens sounding*

As I was saying I can't tell you with the face down on the grass can I?

I followed my dreams like you told me Mom, I really did. I took every chance available and did disgusting work while thinking "This will be a cool anecdote to tell when I'm famous and rich!" and all that effort for this? I tried with all my heart to follow my dream Mom, I can now go at peace knowing that you are smiling looking at me from heaven.

I feel so tired, I guess I will sleep.

"In another news, David Hunter at the age of 31 years old died today at the Saint Monica Clinic. He died from a heart attack, some of their colleagues told me "He was training too hard from the day we met, after training he would always work part-time on the constructions nearby and only slept 2 hours 3 tops. He burned too fast!" the medics dismissed the case of over exercise to be the cause of death, but they are still mystified by the cause of cardiac arrest. David Hunter fell to the ground after scoring his 3rd goal on the same match against The Lions. He was being seen by a headhunter of the Real Madrid. As we were told he played "the best game of his life" sadly dying before even the end of the match. In other news..."

I was in total darkness and heard a voice in my head "This is what you want? Rest for the eternity in the darkness?"

I annoying said "OF COURSE NOT! I wish I could be the best football player ever, but I'm not good enough. I started playing since I was 5 because I followed my dream all my life, and this is what I get? FUCK YOU! AND FUCK YOUR STUPID QUESTIONS!"

After a moment of silence, I heard a chuckle and then "Understood, I will send you back in time and with a little helper. Why? Because you are the 5th person I sent to the past and most of them deviate from the original reason they want to come back, I want to see your determination to follow your dream even after failing one time. The chance to send you back is only to play football okay? No mayor politics or economics influence. Sure you can take advantages of the good opportunities but don't make an empire based on future knowledge, understand? I can send you there and surely bring you back here again if I want to. Okay, I kept you long enough, GO! GO DAVID GO!"

________________

I got really confused as the darkness slowly fade away and gradually I began to notice grass, a football field!

I immediately recognize this field. How couldn't I? It was the first field I ever played, the Little Rooster Field, near my house. It was my first official game, I remember. I was sweating a lot and kept falling over.

I dumbly stood on the field while little kids run past me as the quiet of the darkness was replaced by the roaring of the parents from the other children and even heard my own mother yelling, she was screaming with all her strength "GO! GO DAVID GO!"

I looked my hands and the distance of the ground, Jesus that voice really sent me to the past. FUCKER! At least let me familiarize with my own little body first, don't throw me to my first official game from the getgo!

I looked around and the ball was in possession of the opposite red team, our blue team was losing 2 - 0 and this was the second half, just starting. I hyped myself and shouted while running at the number 10 of them, I was assigned defense with the number 5 but I didn't give a fuck now. It's Little Leagues Dude! Look at our number 6 with his pal number 11 laughing while chasing a squirrel!

So I hyped myself shouting "GO DAVID GO!!!!" with all my strength! All the children looked at me and even 1 or 2 began to cry. Is one thing to hear the shouting from the public, but another thing to hear it so close to them.

The opposite number 10 had his attention on me and let the ball go a little bit too long, so I managed to snatch it from him and began to run back to their team goalkeeper.

A few of them tried to stop me, they were faster and more used to their bodies than me, that's for sure. But they didn't know when to stop, I stopped and changed directions while they continued running in the wrong direction for a few meters. Few them tried to stop but they fell on the ground and started crying.

I finally was alone with the goalkeeper, I felt like I was the Maradona from the kindergarten. I shouted while raising my foot and said "RIGHT!!" and the dumb kid actually jumped right. I smiled and kicked the ball on the left empty side.

My mom screamed even louder than before, if even that was possible "GOALLLL!!!"

I ran with my arms widespread with my usual number 1 on the index fingers like I used to do when scoring. Most of the parents laugh about my comical gesture and applauded. I did it without thinking, but it worked somehow.

Also, it seems that helped that I fell to the ground since I'm new to this fucking body!

I stood up and a bunch of kids congratulated me, they called me their captain after one fucking goal. HAHA kids...still, it was really good feeling.

I thanked them and went to my defensive position, but a kid told me to change to his position. He was our number 10, he was tired of all the running and wanted to take a nap it seems.

Well whatever, I went to my new position. I managed to steal the ball again when one of the kids fell because he had his knots untied. I began to run again and did the same tactic as last time, except that I kicked the other side of the goalkeeper side a lot quicker than last time. Even if he didn't trust me he shouldn't be able to reach so far so fast.

I made a calm gesture raising my fist while running across the field and swaying my hand at my mother. In this league, you couldn't go with your mother, only if you didn't want to play any more of the game. This was in order to not extend the length of the already short matches.

She smiled and waved, I returned to the field. It was the final 4 minutes, they had the kickoff, like last time. I started running and made a strong stomp on the ground startling the kid and managed to steal it pretty quickly. One of the kids managed to stop in time and followed me from behind, so I didn't have a lot of time to make my shout and the same tactic as before, so I approached the goalkeeper and told him that I could beat him with one leg. He started screaming and came rushing at me furiously, I smiled and made a shot over his head. He was not ready for that so I made the 3rd goal!!

After that, I managed to defend my goal post for the rest of the time left, a minute. And finally...

WE WON!

I started running at my mom but something stopped me:
