I received a message from Lily a while ago, saying they'd be in the café where we went to this morning. It was only a few minutes before I received the text, so they were definitely still there.

I was right, I came across two, with Abi and Francine again.

"Hello!" I greeted.

They smiled as they greeted me.

I giggled when I noticed that they had even reserved a seat for me.

When seated, Camilla called the waitress. She already ordered it for me, but it's fine.

Lily and I also know my usual orders.

They've been my secretaries for quite a long time.

While eating, a conversation about the corpse that was found this morning was introduced.

It's a good thing I didn't choke on my food.

I put aside the image of the man bathing in his own blood and just continued listening to the conversation.

Lily was even browsing something on her phone. Maybe some social media posts about the incident a while ago. "It says the man has a big wound on his chest." "Looks like he's been hit by a sharp thingy. I'm not sure, maybe a knife," she said.

"But, the wound is big. I beg to disagree, but I don't think it's a knife. The police have already taken the body, but there is no real lead on who did that to him. It's a pity he died early." Francine added.

"Unfortunately, he is still young and also an asset to the mini bar where he works." His soul rests in peace." Camilla said, agreeing with Francine's statement.

Lily and Abi both nodded.

So the guy was a worker here, huh? That piqued my curiosity. You mean to say, he's working here? Which mini bar?" I asked.

"Oh, no, I forgot to tell you." Don't be surprised, Miss Aya. The guy a while ago was that bartender in the mini bar you talked to." Lily answered.

Oh?

My forehead creased.

I didn't say a thing after Lily's last statement. Trying to absorb the information, I suddenly sipped on my winter melon milk tea.

"Okay, get it. I'm just shocked." I said, after some seconds of silence.

After recovering from the shock of the information laid in front of me, I tried to get a hold of myself.

My forehead furrowed a little, but I didn't think much more.

I don't want to overthink something I just got curious about.

Maybe I was just really shocked to know that the guy I was talking to the other night is now dead.

I'm trying to keep up with the conversation, but I still can't help but think about the corpse.

Who might've committed that horrible crime?

I was still with the girls after we finished our meals in the café. We just took a walk around while observing some structures and tourists laughing in different parts of the resort.

We watched the sunset while sitting on a mat under the shade of a tree just near the shore.
