概要

“Why are you doing this? Why?” “Mom, what do you mean by ‘why’? I’m doing all of this for you.” His voice had a strange gentleness, laced with an unsettling calm. “You’re just confused because you hit your head. That’s why I’m giving you time and space to think.” “Who is your mom, huh? I am not the woman you think I am!” Rebecca's voice trembled with defiance, but the tremor in her hands betrayed her. “I have never been that person...” Before she could finish, his hand clamped over her mouth, silencing her. His grip was firm, but his eyes softened in that familiar way that once seemed innocent, but now chilled her to the bone. “Mom,” he whispered, leaning closer, his breath warm against her skin, “you are my mom. The one who first took care of me, who gave me my first real meal… So, please, don’t say things that will hurt us both.” Without another word, he turned on his heel and walked out of the basement, the click of the lock echoing in the silence as the heavy door sealed her inside. Rebecca slid down to the cold floor, her body sagging against the wall. The expression on her face was no longer one of anger or fear, just a hollow, distant stare—a stark contrast to the passionate woman who moments ago had lashed out at her 'son'. How did it come to this? How had she found herself trapped in this nightmarish situation? She couldn’t comprehend how the boy she had raised had become so twisted, so unhinged, consumed by an obsession. He was fixated on the idea that she was his mother—not because of the care and warmth he had received from his real mother, but because of the care Rebecca had given him. She had stepped into the role with utmost emotion, raising him as if he were her own. But the moment she tried to reveal her true identity, the truth of who she really was, he stopped her. He didn’t want to hear it. He couldn’t bear the thought that the one person who had shown him true affection wasn’t the woman he desperately wanted her to be. The madness in his eyes haunted her. He wasn’t simply confused—he knew. He wanted her to become that woman. And he wouldn’t stop until she accepted that horrifying lie. “Don’t worry. If you truly want to escape, we can help you. We will help you.” The voice was delicate, fluttering in the stillness. It came from a butterfly—a shimmering, ethereal creature that hovered before her. Its wings glowed faintly in the dim light, reflecting the smallest hints of magic. Rebecca’s lips twisted into a bitter smile as she gazed at the butterfly. It was almost laughable, the cruelty of it all. The very gods she had once trusted, the ones she had so diligently served, had kept this terrible secret from her. They had watched everything unfold, indulging in the spectacle like it was a game for their amusement, only stepping in now because things had spiraled beyond their control. She had believed they were her friends, that they valued her loyalty, her offerings. She had shared her most intriguing knowledge with them, thinking it was a fair exchange. But in the end, they had betrayed her, sitting idle while her life was in a mess. “You?” she whispered, her voice low and venomous. “You want to help me? After everything you’ve done by staying silent? By watching this sick play, entertained by my suffering?” Though her voice was barely audible, she didn’t need to shout to express the depth of her rage. Her tone seethed with quiet fury. She didn’t want her captor to hear, but her anger was raw, palpable. She treated him as her own son, but he was not willing to accept her as his mother, he was obsessed with the original soul who didn't treat him well. Rebecca’s thoughts turned darker, colder. She didn’t just want to escape—she wanted to disappear entirely. She couldn’t live like this, not in this prison of delusion and betrayal. She would find a way out. She had to. And when she did, she would make sure she was never found again.

Chapter 1Transmigrated again....?

"Is it my mistake that I fell in love with you?

Is it my fault that you fell in love with someone else?

You're the one who never took me seriously as your fiancée…

You're the one who didn't break off the engagement, even though you didn't care for me…

You're the one who went through the motions of engagement ceremonies, all while declaring to the world that you had another lover—someone you'd known for far longer than you ever knew me."

"What are you trying to say?" Yoel asked, his voice icy.

"If only you had rejected me from the start, or at least canceled the engagement, maybe none of this would have happened. Maybe I wouldn't have done what I did. Maybe we wouldn't be standing in this mess."

"So, you're blaming me? Are you saying this is my fault? That you're innocent?"

"I've never claimed to be innocent," she said, her voice firm but tired. "I have an evil heart, I know that. But where do you think this evil came from? Have you forgotten who I was before all of this? Don't you remember me from childhood? I wasn't like this... I wouldn't have hurt anyone.

But look at me now, standing here in front of you, having done terrible things. Can you really say you had no hand in this? That you were completely blameless? Think about how you treated me, how you acted towards me, and you'll see that you're not innocent either."

Yoel stared at the woman who had just taken her last breath. Her lifeless body lay at his feet, her final words still ringing in his ears. He didn't feel much for her, but the weight of what she had said gnawed at him.

His thoughts were interrupted by the arms of his beloved wrapping around him.

"Thank you… thank you for saving me. I was so scared…" She wept against his chest, expecting him to echo her sentiment, to affirm that it had been the fault of that 'evil woman.'

But Yoel said nothing. He just held her in silence.

They left the scene together, leaving behind the body of the so-called villainess. Her family's corpses lay scattered beside her, cold and forgotten. No one noticed the lone soul standing among the dead, gazing down at her own lifeless form.

"Why did I have to transmigrate at this moment?" Rebecca sighed as she looked at the body—her body—that had died before she'd even had the chance to understand this new life she was thrust into.

Should she consider herself lucky to have died at his hands quickly rather than endure the torment that would have awaited her as the villainess? Or was she unlucky, robbed of the chance other transmigrators often had, to change their fate at the last moment?

Confusing, wasn't it?

Ah… Rebecca. Her real name, both in her original world and here, in this world where she had only just transmigrated a few minutes ago.

She had a good life back in her real world—a successful career as a renowned fashion designer, her talent recognized through several awards. But she'd grown tired of the monotony, so she quit her job and set off on a journey to experience life. She traveled, ate exotic foods, and made new friends, reveling in the joy of it all.

It was fun. She lived freely, indulging in adventures, tasting exotic cuisines, and exploring corners of the world she'd only dreamed of. There were hardships along the way, of course—rough roads, unpredictable weather, moments of exhaustion—but she welcomed each challenge with a fierce resolve. She knew her own strength, knew she could overcome whatever obstacles came her way. Life was good, and she had no reason to believe it wouldn't stay that way. But fate, fickle as always, had other plans. One misstep during a trekking trip, and suddenly she was falling from an unimaginable height. Time slowed, and the vastness of the fall engulfed her. The wind roared in her ears, and her stomach twisted in a sickening free-fall. She could feel the terror building, the cold sweat of impending doom. When she hit the ground, pain exploded through her body, sharp and all-consuming. But mercifully, it only lasted a few seconds before everything went dark. The world around her faded, and all that remained was the heavy, suffocating silence of death.

When she opened her eyes again, she wasn't in her world. She was standing in front of a man and woman, pain stabbing through her chest. Stabbed… She had been stabbed! (o_O) !

━Σ(゚Д゚|||)━

She realized then—she'd transmigrated. Like one of those novels she'd read, she had entered a story, taking over the body of a character. And from the memories flooding her mind, she quickly understood who she was: an 'evil' character. In stories like these, the villainess either dies tragically or is tortured relentlessly by the protagonist.

The memories gave her enough to form her next move, her last words. She could see through Yoel now, a man who wanted both power and love, hurting countless innocents to get them. The body she had taken over had been just another victim in his cruel game.

She had known he would kill her, and when he finally drove his sword into her chest, it was what she had expected from a heartless man like him—someone who wanted it all and was willing to destroy anything that stood in his way.

But Rebecca refused to let him walk away without guilt. So, she had said what she could, using the body's memories, knowing that she might not survive. She pitied characters like the one she inhabited—people used and discarded by the protagonists.

Rebecca didn't know if her words would leave any mark on him, but she had to try. She couldn't just die, given this second chance, without doing something.

And now… now she was a soul. Floating among corpses, trapped in a world she didn't recognize, without any clue of what to do next.

As she stood among the bodies, a dark void opened up before her, a massive black shadow emerged, gripping her tightly before hurling her into a dark, gaping void.

"Wait, wait, at least tell me what is…?!" she tried to shout, but before the words left her lips, she lost consciousness again.

"Mom! Mom!!

Mom, please wake up… Mom!!"

Rebecca opened her eyes in confusion. A young boy, sobbing uncontrollably, was shaking her, desperate for her to wake. The moment her eyes fluttered open, he threw his arms around her, his tears soaking into her clothes.

"I'm sorry, Mom… It's because of me, it's all because of me…"

Rebecca blinked, trying to make sense of what was happening. She had transmigrated… and died… and now she had transmigrated again? How many times could she be thrown into different lives in one day?

And this time, it seemed, she was someone's mother.

A single mother? That's what it looked like.

Rebecca, an unmarried woman who had never dealt with children before, was now staring at a tearful boy calling her "Mom."

"Mom?" the boy asked again, his voice full of sadness.

"Mom?" Rebecca repeated back, still in disbelief.

Will Zara fight the dangers that await or embrace her true destiny? **EXCERPT** "I... didn't want to be late for work. You seemed busy, so I thought I'd get a head start." Snow raised an eyebrow. "Really? Or is it because last night affected you so much that you couldn't stand being around me?" "Don't flatter yourself, Snow. You didn't affect me at all." He smirked, stepping closer. "Is that so?" His fingers brushed my chin, tilting my face up. My pulse quickened. "We're at work," I snapped, swatting his hand away. "This isn't professional." "You're my wife," he murmured. "You're supposed to obey me at all times." I bit back a retort, a hint of rebellion flaring within. Slowly, I stepped closer, letting my fingers graze his chest. His smirk wavered for a second when his wolf reacted and Snow bit his lips. "Careful, Boss," I purred seductively. "Don't hurt those lips. I'm sure plenty of girls would love to kiss them." Snow leaned down, his lips brushing my ear. "And you? Are you dying for a taste?" Caught off guard, I hesitated, then regained my composure as I looked him in the eyes. "Unlike other girls, I have strong resistance against—" I didn't get a chance to finish when Snow's lips crashed onto mine with a fierce kiss that left me breathless. *************** MATURE CONTENT Participating in the Viral Book Call Contest. When the certain darkness threatens to take Oriana away, will the Dragon be able to protect his mate? ----- Excerpt- “If I knew you were my betrothed, I would have killed you the very first moment we met." Arlan's gaze darkened with hatred. “If I knew I was betrothed to you, I would have killed myself before you even killed me!” Oriana mirrored the same emotions as him. He pulled out a dagger and offered it to her. “It’s not too late. Just slit your throat with this and you'll bleed out painlessly.” She accepted the knife, her fingers clutching its handle tightly. The next moment, he was pressed against the wall and the knife was on the right side of his neck. “How about I try it on you first, my betrothed?” “Feel free to try. But when you fail, this knife will first taste your grandpa's blood, then yours.” Anger rose in her eyes, and the next moment, blood was flowing through the right side of his neck. She cut deep enough to severe an important blood vessel. “You should not have challenged me,” she sneered and stepped back, waiting for him to collapse. He simply smirked and brushed his finger along the deep wound on his neck. “Seems like you failed.” She watched the wound on his neck heal on its own and felt shocked to her bones. “You.. what are you?” “Guess?” ----- Instagram- mynovel.20 Facebook- Author mynoveltwenty

Two times rejected Luna, the desire of all Alphas

Valerie, the daughter of the murdered Alpha of the Yellow Stone Pack, could never lead the pack because she had a Luna wolf. Her mate, Tristan, was made the Alpha in her stead. After assuming the title of Alpha, Valerie was set up and brutally rejected, not only by Tristan but also her whole pack, and her kid sister, Scarlet, with whom Tristan had secret affairs. “I reject Luna Valerie as my mate. She was caught in bed with a stranger, meaning that she would sell the pack out. The punishment for treachery is death,” Alpha Tristan announced heartlessly. The chants from the pack members and visiting Alphas who had come for the Alphas' conference attracted them to the judgment. No one thought that Alpha Denzel, whose name caused the hairs on their skin to stand straight due to his ruthlessness, would make it to the conference. Valerie found hope when she realized that Alpha Denzel was her second chance mate, but painstakingly, she was rejected once again. The double rejection caused her to lose her wolf, and she was condemned to die by all the Alphas present. She thought her fate was sealed when Alpha Denzel left and a warrior was ready to execute her. Everyone was shocked when Alpha Denzel suddenly turned around. “Stop! The treacherous daughter of a late Alpha should not be killed. More suffering awaits her,” he declared. Valerie’s heart dropped when she saw his dark look, which was like a bottomless pit, as she blacked out from exhaustion. A few months down the line, there was a war among the Alphas as they began to lay claim to the two-times-rejected Luna. With her wolf dead, will the moon goddess be gracious to give her another wolf? And which Alpha would be able to melt her now cold heart?
