Chapter 317 Concealment

Sun Jack flipped and twisted in the air, launching frenzied attacks on the genetically modified monsters around him.

The response of the monsters was quick, clearly enhanced, and Sun Jack's every move was matched. The collision had become a pure contest of strength, with red sparks continuously splashing in the air.

Having completely mastered combat skills, Sun Jack forcefully swung his long staff down, violently smashing towards the ground below, and with a splatter of blood and flesh, he directly cut one creature into two halves.

This was the thirteenth genetic monster he had killed, but it was useless because their numbers were simply too many.

Just then, feeling a numbness in his back, Sun Jack quickly dove forward—a strong sixth sense warned him that someone was trying to attack him from behind.

But unexpectedly, the attacker did not target him but Tapai beneath him! A laser beam directly pierced through Tapai's chest.

Seeing Tapai with a hole in his chest, Sun Jack's pupils dilated instantly. "Tapai!"

"What are you yelling for, I'm fine, it didn't hit any vital equipment!" Tapai's response reassured Sun Jack, but then attacks from all directions came again.

"Damn!" Sun Jack changed direction and rushed towards the outside of the spacecraft carrier. This was not working; the place was too narrow, and they were going to surround him if it continued this way.

However, escaping was not so easy. At that moment, Sun Jack was completely surrounded by these genetic monsters, and it looked like there were at least a hundred of them.

No matter how Sun Jack struggled, he could not escape their encirclement. His battle armor gave him some support, but the genetic monsters seemed to realize that Tapai was Sun Jack's weak point, all turning their spears towards him, putting Sun Jack in a very passive position.

The thinking of these genetic monsters seemed to be connected; they instantly surrounded Sun Jack from every angle, leaving no dead angle.

Seeing this, Tapai decisively dismantled all the non-essential parts from his body, reducing the attack surface, and kept only the battery pack and the computing unit, essentially becoming a hacking device hanging on Sun Jack's body.

Tapai's method worked. As his size decreased, his remaining parts retreated into the protective shield of Sun Jack's battle armor, withstanding various attacks.

Yet, Sun Jack was completely surrounded, and even though he was protected by a shield, various nanoworms crazily devoured the energy, causing the energy shield to become dangerously unstable.

As the energy shield flickered, a fierce, huge mouth directly bit down, frantically tearing off Sun Jack's left calf, with blood and flesh dripping continuously from the severed wound.

Just as the situation grew increasingly dire, Tapai's voice reached Sun Jack's ear. "Jack, I can try to hack into their system; their armor backdoors should be the same."

Hearing Tapai's words, a desperately struggling Sun Jack shouted, "Damn it! All this time and you only say it now?"

"To protect the security of your system and prosthetic body's network, since there was no excess computing power or memory, if I do this, both the computing power and memory will be insufficient, so I will have to delete all the accumulated memories and behavioral logic in my system, leaving only linear mandatory instructions."

"No!" Sun Jack flatly refused, kicking a genetic monster away forcefully.

"No, my ass, you can't! I'm not dead yet. What are you afraid of? It's just deleting some useless stuff."

"How is that useless! Without memories and behavioral patterns, how are you any different from being dead! Hang in there; AA will have it sorted out soon!"

Tapai momentarily paused for a couple of seconds, then his voice rang out again beside his ear, "Go to hell, Sun Jack, I'm just a robot, my only purpose is to protect you, I have to fulfill my purpose, otherwise my existence is worthless!"

"I've tried hard to learn how to be human, but I really fucking can't!"

"Stop! I told you to stop! Do you hear me! I command you to stop in the name of the master!!"

"Sorry, you can't command me, you've already unlocked all my authorizations, you're no longer my master."

"Fuck!! Are you out of your mind? If I'm not your master, then why the hell are you saving me!"

"Yeah, you make sense, but why do I feel like jumping into danger to save you? Oh? Is this what love is?"

"Love my ass selling twisted doughnuts! And with an accent? When is this to be joking around!!"

As Sun Jack's injuries worsened and his Battle Armor started showing damages, Tapai's voice paced up, "Fuck! Sun Jack! You dickhead! I treat you like this! And you still keep things from me! I'm heartbroken! I'm out!!"

"Don't!!" Just as Tapai was about to make his move, AA's voice rang out again, sounding like heaven at that moment, "Boss! It's done!!"

Fuck! It's finally done!"

"Fuck! It's finally done!"

As both voiced in unison, a bright white light lit up from below, completely enveloping everything in front of them.

The previously scorching heat beaming on Sun Jack felt warm and very comfortable, but at this moment, he was concerned about something else.

"Tapai! Tapai!?" Sun Jack continuously asked in concern, but there was no response.

After a few brief seconds, Tapai's voice, akin to a robot, resounded beside Sun Jack's ear, "Hello, Tapai has left, his wish was to know what exactly you were hiding from him, please fulfill his wish."

"What timing! Still fucking joking! Where do you get that I'm hiding anything from you!"

The next moment, Tapai's voice rapidly changed, revealing, "From the type of movies you watch!! You said you were watching movies! But those were just regular movies! None of the big truck types you like! You've been lying to me!!"

As Sun Jack heard this, his fingers trembled slightly, Tapai had noticed something, had Guan Sanke noticed something as well?

After a quick contemplation, Sun Jack sternly retorted, "Knock it off with the bullshit! I'll say it again! I'm not into big trucks!! Shut up! Stop talking nonsense, don't forget where we are!"

As he finished speaking, the residual glow of the laser gradually scattered in the air, and a Spacecraft Carrier with a huge hole in its center materialized in front of Sun Jack.

Then, under his gaze, the spacecraft, accompanied by the creaking of metal and sounds of explosions, moved towards the ground at a speed that seemed slow yet was incredibly fast.

As the entire Spacecraft Carrier landed on the ground, accompanied by an earth-shaking tremor, everyone in the Metropolis felt the intense vibrations.
