Chapter 50: About us ?

That evening after work , Calcel looked at his watch. It was already 5Pm , Remembering that he had promised to have dinner with May. He closed his laptop and got his bag ready to leave . When he opened the door , The same time May was also coming to his office.

" Sir , I wm sorry You delayed so I decided to come and remind you. " She said with a smile pulling a few strands of hair behind her hair.

" I am sorry , I almost forgot about it. Let's go ! " Calcel said.

Getting into his car , Being that It was May buying the dinner , She gave him the destination. They drove to some hotel and walked gently inside.

They were soon served and they started eating.

" The food is wow ! How did you know this place ? " Calcel commented and asked.

" My mother used to bring me here on special days and sometimes she would bring me on her birthday. " May spoke.

" Then I must be lucky to be here with you. " Calcel said.

" Assured. " May said and they both laughed.

May's smile faded slowly and she gave Calcel a deep look. He raised his eyebrows . " Anything wrong ? " He asked.

" Not really , I just have something to ask . " May said solemnly.

" Go ahead ! ""Calcel said nonchalantly .

" Did you think about us ? " May asked looking determined.

" About ?..."

" About us ! Me and you. " May spoke softly.

That's when Calcel remembered she had confessed her feelings to him. He heaved a sigh and looked up at her. They both kept silent while they stared at each other.

" I am..." Calcel wanted to say something when his phone rung. He got the phone and left to receive the call. " Excuse me ! " He said before leaving.

" Who was that ? " May asked when Calcel was back.

" It's Mr Yates . He wanted to confirm if I will buy the shares. " He answered .

" Ah... I get it. " May said and focused back on her food. She knew that Calcel wasn't going to answer her.

After the dinner , Calcel drove her back to her car.

" Thank you for today. " He said before May got out of the car.

" It's nothing much. I will take my leave now." May said and smiled good bye .

After that , Calcel drove back home. It was already dawn at around 8pm when he arrived. He found David already having his supper alone on the table with two maids who stood besides him to give him some company.

" Good evening Dad. " Calcel greeted and sat opposite him.

" How was the day ? " David asked.

" Everything went well. " Calcel answered. He noticed Alyssa's absence. " Why are you having supper alone ? " Calcel asked with a puzzle.

" What , Did you expect me to have it with anyone else apart from you ? " David asked looking at Calcel with a corner smile.

" Of course not Dad. Where's Alyssa ? " Calcel inquired.

" She is not allowed to leave her room . " David declared.

" Why not , Did she do anything wrong ? " Calcel wondered.

David put down the fork and table knife he was using and looked at his son with amusement.

" So you thought that I wouldn't find out that she was cheating on me with her former manager ? " He asked angrily.

" I also thought the same Father , But I think we were wrong. " Calcel said.

David suddenly burst out in laughters. " Did you say thinking the same , Do even Know where I got the news from ? " David asked.

" Of course not Father. But whatever it is , We are wrong. " Calcel insisted on.

" I can't believe anyone untill I get the evidence. " David said and got up as turned making his back to face Calcel. " Let's talk tomorrow , Good night ! " He said and left.

After the news Calcel walked to Alyssa's room and asked the maid to open for him the door. On entering he found her asleep.

She lied comfortably on the bed.

Calcel looked at her beautiful face , He really always liked to look at her whenever she was asleep. He squatted down before her and raised his hands to her face where he pulled away a few strands of hair that were in her face backwards behind her ear. Alyssa felt the touch and opened her eyes to see Calcel whose hands were still on her hair. When he saw her eyes open he immediately removed his hands .

" Calc..." She called and immediately got up to sit at the edge of the bed. " What are you doing here ? " She asked.

" I heard that father stopped you from getting outside the house. " Calcel spoke as he put back his hands in the pockets.

" Yes , He did it for a good reason. " Alyssa responded looking into his eyes.

" Why didn't you explain to him that there is nothing between you and Herman ? " Calcel asked wondered.

Alyssa chuckled in disbelief. " What did you do when I tried to explain to you the same ? " She asked.

" I know I did nothing and accused you falsely. But now I believe you . " Calcel said.

" Believe ?..Why would you believe me all of sudden ? " Alyssa was amused and confused at ago.

" That's not important now , The most thing is that we should convince father that whatever he heard was wrong. Besides that , You can't be locked here because the company needs you. " Calcel spoke glaring at her.

" I don't need your help. And for the company , I think he already got someone to replace me. " Alyssa said looking away from him.

Calcel was confused now . " So you are willing to stay here as a prisoner ? " Calcel asked in disbelief.

" If that's your father's wish , I will. " Alyssa swore.

" Fine ! " Calcel spoke and turned to leave . He was just at the door when he met one of the maids coming in with a first aid box in her hands.

" Good evening sir. " The maid greeted.

" What's that for ? " Calcel asked refering to the box.

" Ah...Ms Alyssa's leg was hurt so she needed some nursing. " The maid said.

Alyssa looked at them but she couldn't say anything since it was already obvious. Calcel remembered that she got hurt at the Island when he fell on top her and then he hurried back to her and checked her leg to find that the bruise was really still there. He looked at her angrily .
