Chapter 39: I love her !

" Happy birthday dear Herman ...Happy birthday to you ! " Alyssa concluded the song when Herman cut the cake.

May and Calcel who were just leaving the hotel heard claps as soon as they reached the cafeteria which was the only way to the exit door.

" What's happening there ? " He asked seeing a crowd of people .

" I don't know.." May said when they saw the customers going to sit back in their positions but each of them had a small piece of cake in their hands. Then number of them reduced when Herman came into view by Calcel.

" I will feed you now ! " Alyssa said happily .Her back was facing Calcel so he couldn't recognize her. What Calcel saw was a girl feeding Herman as they both smiled lovingly at each other.

May noticed the way Calcel was looking at Herman or the stranger whom she took to be the birthday boy maybe.

" Do you know him ? " May asked Calcel.

Suddenly before Calcel could answer Herman's gaze caught him. " Mr Calcel ! " Herm exclaimed surprised .

He was loud enough for Alyssa to hear so she immediately turned to the direction which Herman was facing. Calcel was there standing with his secretary besides him.

" Calcel ? " Alyssa called still standing in her spot.

" May , Let's go ! " Calcel said to May ignoring Herman and Alyssa.

They immediately left. They were outside the hotel when Calcel stopped walking and heaved a breath. May looked at him worriedly .

" Sir , Are you okay ? " She asked softly.

Calcel gulped and said. " You go ahead , I need to have some fresh air. " He muttered.

May smiled. " Don't worry , I will have a walk with you around. I heard this place had a nice park. " She said.

" Really ? " Calcel asked to confirm.

" Of course , Let's go ! " She said and led the way.

" Don't you think that Calcel is angry seeing us together ? "' Herman asked with concern.

":Not really. He already knew that I was coming to see you. " Alyssa said solemnly.

" That's nice to hear. Let's go have a walk ! " Herman said holding Alyssa's hand.

" Sure ! " Alyssa replied back and they left the cafeteria.

" Are you angry because you saw your step mother with another man ? " May asked while she and Calcel had their walk.

" Of course , She's my father's wife ! " Calcel said .

" Is that really why you are really angry ? " May asked to confirm.

Calcel turned to look at her as both of them stoped from walking. " What else did you expect ? He asked with his normal serious expression.

May faked a smile. " Nothing . I was just curious . " She said. They continued with their walk when May finally saw Alyssa and Herman coming from the other direction.

" Sir , Look Ms Alyssa is there with her friend. " May said in a raised voice making Calcel to turn and look at them.

They were together again but to his astonishment they were holding hands.

Calcel chuckled in disbelief.

" Let's go join them ! " May suggested with a smile and suddenly held his hand dragging him to where they were. Before Calcel could react , They were already at the spot where the latter were.

" Calcel , Ms May . Your both still around ? " Alyssa asked surprised.

" Yes , We were having a short walk. " May said happily. " Whose that ? " She asked refering to Herman.

Alyssa looked at Herman who was standing besides her and immediately let go of his hands. " He's Herman , My friend. " She simply said.

" Wow , I am May. Nice to meet you ! " May said giving her hand to Herman for a shake.

" Nice to meet you too. " Herman said.

" Mr Calcel , I didn't know that your step mother has such a handsome friend. " May said more in a mocking way.

" He's indeed handsome. Many people have told me the same ! " Alyssa said not bothered by May's words .

" I really envy you Ms Alyssa.." May lushed out.

" Why would you ? " Alyssa abiit confused.

" Look , Your husband is handsome. Your step son is also and the same applies to your best friend. " May said sheepishly making both Alyssa and Herman to laugh.

Herman noticed Calcel's silence and decided to say something to him. " Hello Calcel ? " He greeted.

" Mm ..." Calcel just nodded with a smile and looked side ways. He didn't want to look at Alyssa nor Herman at the moment.

" Herman and I are actually going to get some ice cream. Do you mind joining us ? " Alyssa requested.

" Sure , We would like to . " May immediately accepted.

They were at the ice cream shop when May and Alyssa decided to go and get ice creams for all of them. Herman stayed with Calcel but their gazes were on the two girls who were waiting for their order.

Herman looked at Calcel and followed his gaze to realise that he had been looking at Alyssa ever since the two girls left.

" Won't you get tired of staring at Alyssa ? " Herman asked bringing Calcel from his daze. He turned and looked down at. Herman who was slightly shorter than him.

" Who said that I was looking at her ? " He said trying to defend himself.

Herman chuckled. " It is obvious ! " He said.

Calcel looked straightly into Herman's eyes and gave a smirk . " What do you really take me for ? " He asked determined giving his cold expression.

" I'm... m..am..Sorry it I said something wrong ! " Herman apologized immediately.

Calcel chuckled at this. " Tell me now , Do you like Alyssa ? " He asked a question that surprised Herman.

Herman glared into Calcel for a second when he said. " Yes..I like...no , I love her ! " He said freely.

" You love her ? " Calcel repeated after Herman's words. " Have you forgotten that she's married now ? " He asked reminding Herman of Alyssa's status.

"I am..."

" We are sorry for delaying ! " May cut Herman off while she came back with Alyssa both holding two ice creams containers.

Alyssa gave one to Herman as May did the same to Calcel. " I brought your favorite flavor ! " Alyssa said to Herman lovingly giving him his ice cream. She took a spoon of her's when some ice cream remained on the side of her lips.

Herman raised his arm and rubbed it off with his own hands touching the side of her lips while Calcel and May watched.

" Thank you ! " That's all Alyssa could say with a smile.

Calcel got his ice cream but didn't even try it. He just put back into May's hands and left leaving them with a frown.
