Everything fell...
Debris covered their surroundings sealing the escape routes.
And even though everything was falling down, the boy never stopped looking at his deceased friend who was resting on a pile of the remains of a fallen wall.
- I'll see you to the end brother' - he thought as he sat down next to the corpse of the other boy.
He took out a cigarette and a lighter from his pocket, he smoked as he watched the whole building collapsed
- 'At least everyone is safe' - That was the only consolation for him.
He watched as above his head a huge huge huge chunk of debris came loose, it looked like it would fall at any moment
- Huh So now it's my turn? - There was no fear or sadness in his tone, there was only a clear acceptance.
After all, he no longer had much of an attachment to life besides his old uncle, and his two best friends.
He smiled one last time as he gave his friend a look.
He remembered the faces of the most important people he had in his life
- 'Uncle...' - His last thoughts turned to the man who, though very awkwardly raised him with much love and affection even more than his biological father did - 'Please forgive me for not coming home tonight...' - A lone tear ran down his face.
Soon all the debris fell on top of him, ending his life once and for all
...
The whole building was collapsed
There were only two victims found in the wreckage of the building
Julian Sanchez and Thomas Grey
That night... A woman and an elderly man mourned the departure of their friends/nephews

Woke up
Surprised he saw that he was in a large black and white current
He also noticed something else strange... he could no longer feel his body, there was no pain, there was no sensation, it was as if he was no longer human.
Looking at his reflection, he realized that he no longer had a body.
He looked like a simple white sphere
He saw how many other spheres identical to himself were descending down a black and white waterfall.
And soon it would be his turn...
*Ba-bump *Ba-bump *Ba-bump *Ba-bump
And at that very moment he felt it
From the deepest part of his being something inside himself warned him
If he ever wanted to achieve his goal, he must get away from there at all costs.
Regardless of the difficulty, he threw himself backwards using all his strength and swam against the current just like a salmon would.
Tom obviously didn't notice what he was doing.... Swallowing the negative energy using a weak projection of his original body he moved his ghostly limbs pushing him upwards away from the descent.
A part of his soul that was never supposed to be touched was released....
What does that involve?
In the lake of reincarnation all sins are erased from the soul of the deceased, including his capital sins, one of the fundamental pillars for human beings...
...So what would happen if someone went against the current?
He would strengthen his sins, his hatred, his rage, his pain? He would be throwing away a large part of his humanity
What is the difference between a demon and a human?
Is it just longevity, their more robust and stronger bodies or perhaps their demonic powers, No, they may count but the real difference and the most qualitative of all is....
The soul
The soul of a demon is tainted by sins and the depravity that they entail, they are strictly governed by one or more of the seven deadly sins
So what if the same were true of a human.... ?
Would he still be human?

Morgan Freeman sat quietly on his white throne, enjoying one of his favorite pastimes, watching souls purify themselves and be reborn.
- S-Sir! - A voluptuous blonde woman rushed into God's resting place
- What is it Gabriel? - He asked with a smile to the very agitated angel in front of him.
He took a sip from his coffee cup as he listened to a report.
A rather terrified expression appeared on the beautiful woman's face as she informed her father what had happened.
- Three souls have broken away from the lake! - she said in panic
Morgan Freeman opened her eyes in shock as she spat her coffee on the floor.
- What the hell happened? - He asked in terror, this was truly unheard of!
Gabriel timidly handed her a tablet
God was surprised to see how the three souls who had done the same action, although they had taken totally different paths, were all in the same place.
The youngest of the souls went against the river soaking in the sins of people already deceased.... He made the pain of many his own and turned it into his own strength and impetus to go forth
A flash of surprise filled his whole face, he almost dropped the tablet at the sight of a purple aura protecting the soul and relentlessly devouring the sins and impurities that tried to corrupt the soul and deform the boy into a monstrous being
- 'That boy...' - The more he saw, the more the surprise in his expression increased - 'He has appropriated Gluttony -'
Dread filled his face, he wished from the bottom of his heart that the boy did not go mad as did all those who carried Gluttony as a sin
Not many knew it, but Gluttony is a sin even more powerful than Pride.
That is why although Lucifer was recognized as the leader of the Demon Kings, he could never take the title of the strongest from Beelzebub.
With his eyes he could see it
The boy wasn't a bad person, on the contrary, he seemed happy to help whoever will need it, his heart wasn't the purest but he was on the right side
But now... she could see how his soul was fracturing and rebuilding over and over again in a cycle that seemed to have no end.
At the rate he was going that soul would be fragmented and split apart to finally destroy itself completely.
Its emotions, apart from the negative ones were almost completely erased, consumed until they became empty
- 'I can't do much for you little ones' - He thought sadly.
A rather helpless expression appeared on the face of one of the most powerful gods in creation - 'But... at least I'll help you a little' -
In his hands three golden drops were formed.
One for each soul
- 'This is all I can do for now, I wish you a life without regrets children of Adam' - His eyes wandered across the tablet as he watched each drop make the souls glow, until they regained their human forms in their fullness
Going against the current, a black-haired young man swam with all his might he laughed upstream, The cracks spread across his body healed and reappeared as if caught in a loop....
Taking a detour, a young red-haired man floated calmly on the river, he had a dejected, lazy and somewhat tired expression....
Stopping on a bank, a young girl with long brown hair calmly watched the passing of souls, on her face there was a sad and empty look as if she had lost something very important...
- What did you do father? - asked the Seraph with a smile that was not a smile.
- I have given you a taste of my power, it will manifest itself as you see fit, so at least I guarantee that you can live happily - A calm smile adorned the older man's face as he wished you the best of luck.
Gabriel opened his eyes with shock, a rather silly expression appeared on his face, before it turned into a stern one.
God swallowed saliva, as he looked around the room for a way to escape the scolding of his angry daughter.
His face turned to one of despair as he saw his son Michael and his other daughter Uriel standing in his doorway.
Both with the same stern expression as Gabriel
God sighed dejectedly as an expression of despair appeared on his face
...
...For the next three days all over paradise Gabriel and the other seraphim were heard scolding God that it was okay to help the missing alarms but that he should not do it to excess
All the angels smiled wryly
The high and mighty God could not in an argument against his sons and daughters
