Chapter 14: Eclipse Gate x unexpected meetings

[In front of the Eclipse gate]

It has been 7 days since mom went to Guiltina, dad used the [dragon soul technique] and the other dragons went to fight Acnologia. So the Eclipse gate should be completed by today.

About 2 days after Igneel and the others went to fight Acnologia, 5 cards appeared before me and the bodies of the other dragon slayers glowed for a second before the light faded. I look at the cards to see each of the dragons with serious injuries. I just have to get [restoration magic] and [spirit magic] and I can resurrect them.

Additionally, I made sure to tell Irene to continue with her [transformation magic] training and to give birth to her child in the year I specified so Erza could be born. I am sure Weisslogia and Skiadrum have already altered Sting and Rogues memories and left them dragon slayer lacrima that they obtained from dragons of the same attribute as them.

Anna, me and the other children are standing infront of the imposing gate that Zeref had created for the us to travel to the future where Ethernano was more abundant.

Me:'it has been about 12 years since I was reborn in this world; I was raised by dragons, learned [dragon slayer magic] and now I am about to enter a gate to the future. Time really does fly, no pun intended.' I thought to myself causing me to chuckle inwardly.

I then turned to Wendy and bend down to pat her on the head while she had a look of worry.

Me:"It is okay Wendy, I know your worried about Grandeenay but I promise that you will see her again."

Wendy:"Really big brother?" she asked with concern in her voice and tears forming in your eyes.

Me:"Yes, you will see Grandeenay again. There also may be a time where I won't be there with you but remember even when I am not right here, I will always be with you." I said while pointing to her heart and continued. "You are strong and will continue to grow, so have confidence in yourself." I said to reassure her that she will see her mother again.

Wendy:"Thanks big brother." she said with relief and continued. "When I grow up, I am gonna marry you."

Me:'This is the trope of the little sister and the big brother. I am not sure if she's serious but I don't want to hurt her feelings' I thought to myself before continuing aloud. "We'll see Wendy, lets head out." I said as she nodded in response.

As I was finishing my conversation with Wendy, I notice that the Eclipse gate starts to open and light is pouring out of the gate. I also notice another presence closeby, I believe that is the dragon Animus in Sonyas body after Acnologia tried to kill him. They must have heard of the eclipse gate and want to sneak into it to find a way to separate Animus from Sonya.

Wendy and I go next to Anna-sensei and we start walking toward the opening gate. I can feel the enormous magic energy on the otherside of the gate, knowing that on the other side is july 7 year 777. I just hope that Layla had the Aquarius key did not have to use her life force. Not that I thought mom would forget but I can't help but worry, knowing how sad Lucy was after Layla died and how vengeful Brandish begam when Zoldeo killed Gramy and thought that Layla killed her.

The light grew brighter and before we enter the gate I held the hem of Anna-senseis dress so I didn't go flying through the ceiling like Natsu and the others. As the light subsided, I looked in front of me to see a few familiar figures spread out at the exit.

A short old man with a mustache, dressed in fancy clothes; I recognize him as the king of the fiore kingdom, Toma E. Fiore.

A blonde haired woman who was the spiting image of Anna-sensei, if you but them side by side they would look like twins. Without a doubt that is Lucy's mother Layla Heartfilia.

A woman with green hair who is about standing further back, dressed in a long yet humble dress and carrying a bag that looks familiar to me; I recognize her as Brandish's mother Gramy. I felt relief the moment I saw her since this means that mom was able to teleport Gramy from the Alikatashia to Ishgar to give Layla the Aquarius key and prevented her from from taking a huge risk.

The last person I see is a guy with white short unkempt shoulder-length hair and pupilless eyes wearing a long cloak with a hood, sleeves longer than his arms, and a black collar around his neck. If I remember correctly, he is Wraith who was a former member of the Fairy Tail guild until his death but his [spirit dragon slayer magic] let him survive as a spirit with no body. I wonder what he is doing here.

the second I saw him he twitched noticing that I was looking at him, I am sure if he was wondering if I can see him. So I look at him and moved my lips to say "we can talk later." to which he nodded. I remembered that only dragons and dragon slayers could see him because of his [spirit dragon slater magic].

Anna:"Wait. Where am I? The year. What year is it currently?" She asked the people around the room unsure of when we arrived.

Layla:"uh, right. it is the year 777."

Anna-senseis showed a surprised look on her face finding out that we traveled more then 400 years into the future. She looks around with worry noticing that Natsu and the others are not in the room. When she sees me she calms down alittle but her concern still hasn't faded as she turn to the king.

Anna:"There were 5 other children with me with this boy. Where are they?"

The king of Fiore looked alittle unsure of what to say while I look up to see holes in the ceiling, one for each dragon slayer and one for Sonya. To help the little king I point to the ceiling and answered her question.

Me:"Anna-sensei, I believe they went through the ceiling after going through the gate."

Anna:"That was not according to the plan." she grumbled at the thought of the dragon slayers out there on her own.

I then put then tugged on Anna-senseis sleeve to get her attention, she looked at me as I try to reassure her.

Me:"It is okay Anna-sensei, sometimes things don't go as planned. They will be fine, I have faith in them." I say to her and she starts to calm down.

Anna:"Thanks for that Albion." she said with a thankful tone in her voice.

Me:"It is the least I could do. Now why don't we talk to your descendent who looks like your sister." I said while gesturing to Layla.

Anna-sensei and Layla both giggled at what I said, likely amused that I called Layla Anna-senseis sister. Well it is not my fault that they looked alike, but what I said did lift their spirits.

Then Gramy and Layla came up to me and kneeled down to look at me and start talking.

Gramy:"You must me Albion right. I heard about you from your mother, she told me that you asked her to teleport me to lady Layla to give her the Aquarious key to open that gate."

Layla:"Yes and if she hadn't done that, I would have likely tried to use my life force to compensate for the lack of the final key. But now I dont hve to take that gamble."

Anna:"What!?" she said with shock that she was going to take such a risk.

Layla:"We thanked your mother but she said the credit goes to you since you asked her to keep an eye on our family and on Gramy." after she said that both her and Gramy started petting my head.

Gramy and Layla:"So thanks for your help." they said as they stroked my head.

I felt alittle embarassed to have them pet my head like this with my teacher and a king watching, but what can you do.

Anna:"Lets talk further outside." she said after a fake cough to get our attention.

We left the room with the eclipse gate and head to an open hallway that overlooks the city of Crocus. The lights from the buildings and the sight of flowers looked beautiful. I also noticed the enormous amount of ethernano in the air compared to 400 years ago.

I let Layla and Anna-sensei and king Toma talk about what is going on in the world since we went through the Eclipse Gate. I then turn to the spirit close by to take to him about why and how he came here.

Me:"Hello mister, may I ask why you are here?" I asked Wraith who was shock shocked look on his face.

Wraith:"S-so you really can see me?" he asked while his voice is shaking.

Me:"Yes I can see you. I can sense the you have a magic power similar to me. You have what is called [spirit dragon slayer magic]."

Wraith:"[Spirit dragon slayer magic]? So you know about me?" he asked with a curious but hopeful expression on his face and continued. "You see I was told by a dragon that there was someone who could help me find out what happened to me."

Right he lost his memories after he died and became a spirit, leading him to think that someone killed him and he had get revenge in order to pass on. But what got my attention was that a dragon told him that there as someone who can help him.

Me:"Was the dragons name Selene?"

Wraith:"!? So you know that dragon?" he asked with curiousity and wide open eyes.

Me:"Of course I do, she is one of the dragons that raised me 400 years ago. My name is Albion Nava." I said as I extended my right hand to give him a handshake.

Wraith:"I am Wraith." he said as he tried to reciprocate the hand shake considering he has no body.

I then proceeded to tell him about how I came from 400 years in the past and that I was raised by two dragons, Selene and Veldanava. He looked very interested in the fact that I could use several different elements of [dragon slayer magic] and my [eye magic: clairvoyance eyes]. When he heard that my [clairvoyance eyes] can see into the past, he looked a bit hesitant.

He most likely wants to ask me to use my magic to see what happened to him but since I was essentially a stranger to him he might not want to cause me trouble. He seems like a nice guy so I will help him out and gain an ally in the process. If I go to Tortus and gain the [ancient magic], I could use them to give him a new body and he can see Macarov.

Me:"If you want, I can use my magic to find out what happened to you."

When I offered to help him he had a shocked look on his face.

Wraith:"You would really do that for me?"

Me:"Yeah, I don't mind helping you. Wait, if you possess my body while I activate my magic, you should be able to see it too." I said causing his eyes to widen further.

Wraith:"Are you sure you want to do that?"

Me:"Sometimes, it is better to see something in order to believe it."

Wraith:"Okay if your sure. [Possession]." as soon as he said that word, his spirit entered my body.

Despite being possessed I don't feel like I am being controled by Wraith, he must be hlding back on his [possession] spell.

Me:'You ready Wraith?' I said mentally.

Wraith:'I'm ready'

When he gave his confirmation, I gather Magic power into my eyes to activate the spell."[clairvoyance eyes]."

After I said the spell, the image around me starts to change to a forest and I see Wraith right next to me. He seems confused at how the scenery changed so suddenly.

Wraith:"What is this?" he asked.

Me:"This is the affect of my [clairvoyance eyes], they let me see the past. But I must warn you, What is seen in these visions has already happened. I cannot control what happens in these visions."

Wraith:"Okay."

*ROAR*

???:"AAGH."

We then heard a multiple roars and a pained shout. We followed the sound to see another Wraith in the middle of fighting a swarm of monsters.

Wraith:"That's me." he said, surprised to see another him.

After watching for a couple of minutes passt Wraith managed to defeat a good number of monsters before 2 guys show up and pushed the rest of the monsters back.

Then they put past Wraith on a stretcher and took him to the Fairy Tail guild hall, to get help from Porlyusica. But when they got there, there was nothing that she could do and Wraith died in the crying Macarovs arms. I see Porlyusica, Rob, Bob, Goldmine, and Yajima crying over the loss of their guildmate.

After I see this, the vision disappeared and we return to see the capital city of Crocus at night with a full moon in the sky. I notice that tears came down my face, I start to feel Wraiths sadness from seeing the vision of his own death. I then start to see his memories, memories of him being alone for most of his life. Even while he was a member of Fairy Tail, it seems he kept to himself and was worried that they didn't see him as a friend.

Me:'You want to live again and see them?' I said mentally at Wraith.

Wraith:'What do you mean "live again"?' he asked mentally.

Me:'Read my thoughts and you will see.' I said, reminding him that he was still possessing my body.

I let my thoughts about Tortus and the [ancient magics] that could give him a new body, a new life to be could be a part of Fairy Tail again. Then Wraith left my body and looked at me with a look of disbelief.

Wraith:"Are you really serious about this?"

Me:"Yes I am. You deserve a second chance at life and I am sure they would be glad to see you again. But if you don't want that, I won't force you."

I am not lying, I remember that during the 100 year quest manga that Macarov said to Wraith that he missed him before he dissapeared. Having him on my side could help with dealing with Acnologia and the dragon eaters of Diabolos. Maybe consuming the souls of monsters in tortus will make him stronger.

There is a chance that he may not want to live again but I felt that I should at least give him the option. Then Wraith looks at me with a serious expression and resolve in his eyes.

Wraith:"I want to live and see them again. Please help me." he said as he bowed his head.

Me:"Okay, I look forward to working with you."

That is how I recruited the spirit dragon slayer to join my team for when I go to Tortus to conquer the labyrinths.
