Ex I: Eldrida

The kingdom of Eldrida was a land of darkness, where the sun never shone and the moon was always full. The only light came from the stars and the flickering torches that lined the streets of the capital city, Ardenfall. The people of Eldrida were a somber, fearful lot, living in constant fear of the creatures that lurked in the shadows beyond the city walls.

The king of Eldrida, a cruel and ruthless ruler, had long ago sealed off the kingdom from the outside world, trapping his subjects in a never-ending nightmare. No one knew why he had done this, or what lay beyond the walls, but all knew that to venture beyond them was certain death.

But there was one who dared to dream of freedom. His name was Calian, a young man with a restless spirit and a fierce determination. He had grown up hearing tales of a land beyond the walls, a land of light and hope, and he longed to see it for himself.

One night, as he lay in bed, Calian heard a strange noise outside his window. Curious, he got up to investigate and saw a figure standing in the shadows. It was a hooded figure, clad in black, and it beckoned to him with a silent gesture. Without hesitation, Calian followed the figure through the winding streets of Ardenfall, until they reached the city gates.

The gates were guarded by fierce warriors, but the hooded figure led Calian past them undetected. And as they stepped beyond the walls of the city, Calian saw something that he had never thought possible. The sky was blue, and the sun was shining. The land beyond the walls was lush and green, and the people were happy and free.

Calian realized that the hooded figure was a guide, sent to lead him on a journey to save the kingdom from the shadows. With a newfound sense of purpose, Calian set out on his quest, determined to bring light to the Shadowed Kingdom of Eldrida.

As the chapter ends, Calian can't believe what he just saw and what he is about to do, he takes a deep breath and starts his journey, ready to face the unknown.
