Day 46 -72 Pictures at the studio

The photography studio was good to go. The equipment is all set up and insured finally. All of the models and actors/actresses are ready to work. Rexford wanted to take care of his Entertainment business matters before heading out.

Just getting a few extra production matters taken care of.

Rexford had all those who were part of the starring cast for the series gathered. Taking pictures and adjusting as needed for promotional pieces. The photo shoot went on for 4 hours before ending for the day. Well for that part anyway.

"Alright, we are done." A collective sigh was heard all around. "All those for the overtime work, go and get changed." Rexford said. Sini Dova came over after she finished with her group. "How did the shoot go with the villain cast members?"

"Good, But some are a little arrogant. They settled down after a little reprimand. Nothing overall a problem." Sini Dova was very good at handling people. Her fiery red hair begs the question about her fighting techniques though. Sometimes Rexford could swear he saw a few flames. "The dress code for the workers is one of the best policies I like. You couldn't imagine how annoying it is to walk around in heels all the time."

"You are right about that. Pretty stupid and barely serves a purpose in most business." Rexford adjusted the lens giving her a once-over. "But .. well that is neither here nor there. I am tempted to cast you in the "Detective Series" developing."

Sini Dova declined outright. She did not want to be on TV more than she had to. And showbusiness just made her bored and annoyed.

"Haa, this was too much!" An actress said annoyed. "The money be damned!"

"Hey, Maylu calm down. Best gig you can get considering." Another actress said.

"Use to having more than a few short breaks. Plus all the different people...."

"If you don't like it, take the escape clause in the contract." Another actress said. Considering she was playing the role of a constant underling, it was better if the groaning bitch quits. "The schedule was already presented to everyone and you even had the chance to take one of the lesser packed days."

"You shut your mouth." Maylu griped. "You are just a supporting role. What do you know about hard work anyway? I was in a few movies. I know better than you." The young starlet was running her mouth too much. Making several feel awful.

They would have to deal with her for a few months. Not to mention the time if the series goes really well.

"You knew better than her." Rexford said walking over and starting at everyone. "You are hereby relieved of your role Ms.Maylu. My studio has no room for people like you. The penalty is nothing compared to the overall cast having to deal with you."

"I.." She didn't think the boss was still around. That was just one of the mistakes she had today.

"You are fired." Rexford said to clarify. He looked around at the others. "This is just the beginning, don't like it, leave now. No hard feelings for everyone else."

"We are good." The others answered and voiced. Looking at Maylu with pity.

"You will be sorry you did this." Maylu walked off almost stomping. "Who wants to be in this kids show anyway!"

"Not at all. Make sure you blacklist her from any of our projects and future ones. No sense in dealing with this nonsense in the future." It was best to make an example out of her quickly. The assistant for this group nodded fearfully. Making the notes now but not removing the actress in case Rexford changes his stance. "Ms. Shui, are you up for more work?"

"Yes sir!" She said quickly. Surprised he knew her name.

"Good. You and a few of the backups will have an additional scene to the episode. Ms.Maylu's form and the role will be killed on-screen. We can set the scene with the power going into the rest of you. The brunt of it going into you."

"EH!" Shui and the other backup people were surprised.

"Consider next month busy, as that time will be used to write up a mini digital series for you all. Expansion early for the characters you play. So be sure to work hard for success." Rexford explained a little more then walked off.

"Holy shit they are lucky." A few of the other actors mumbled.

A few hours later-

The crew was wrapping up for the night. Hard day of work for most of them but just right for the others. Tomorrow was clean up and overall practice in their costumes. The people who were involved in fight scenes had basic martial arts.

"Rexford," Yanyan Hu came up with the modified script. "The writers finished early to the changes. Only a little resistance to losing Maylu. I have done the proofreading, just needs your final approval."

"Sounds good. Set it right there." Rexford wanted to secure the rest of the photos before moving on. "As for those writers keep note of which ones say what, its good to see how they develop later with story and with actors they do or don;t like."

A show could get ruined that way if not careful.

"Man this stuff is wicked!" Airi looked at the setup. "Yah know, I am glad everything is not on a green screen or CGI. This works wonders for nostalgia."

"Yeah, but the cost will kill us eventually. Right?"

"Not really, all the material is recycled and this gives jobs to set personnel. So a good business expense. Also helps for inspiration. Eventually. Plus we do have two full greenscreen sets for the other series. The adult ones are quite something for some of the personnel." Rexford closes his camera case while talking. "Am I forgetting anything?"

"Nope." Sini Dova said. "So the mature rating stuff. You sure it will do well?"

"About as well as other stuff. A reason the older actors/actresses were told to study the script of the younger counterparts they portray. Kind of a college version of the Rangers. Making a more adult life while doing their duty to protect the Earth."

"At least that is straight online, way too much of a pain to run on regular platforms with the nudity." Yanyan Hu stated. "Think the networks will give trouble in the future with the early contracts signed? I mean you own Chuzuo for the most part now. They might want to try to gain favor by cutting costs."

"I have a plan for that but nothing right now. I will wait till we have more people to handle that. No need to put every possible fire out right now." Rexford's camera was still around his neck. Seeing Yanyan Hu at work so diligently and Sini Dova explaining to the others so passionately he couldn't help it. "Just perfect."

Rexford started snapping pictures of them at work. It took a few minutes before either of them noticed him doing so. They immediately hid away spoiling any more picture-taking.

Leaving after closing up, the group didn't get far until stopping. Two people waiting at the entrance. Han Yun and Xu Rongfei were waiting near a car. Sini Dova stepped forward to deal with the matter. Sure Rexford would handle it in a not-so-good way.

"Best everyone continues on." Her eyes carried a dangerous edge to them. Rexford just shugged but the Serving Women knew something was up. "This won't take long at all. This is my department of Business Affairs to deal with after all."

"Very well. Let's go eat." Rexford shrugged leading the others off. Phone beeping with a few messages that need to be taken care of. 'Always a good idea to have it off during shooting that's for sure.'

The first message was from Biao. He was able to get the number of someone in the Zheng family's crawl camp. Considering the way the Zheng family handled business, the eldest daughter was perfect for Underworld matters. He had been working on getting in contact with them for a while now.

The second was Wei 3rd in regards to his son Wei Ziping. The boy was disciplined with a stern lecture only with most of the elders backing him. Wei Fu said nothing as this matter was too sensitive at the time. This only served to have Rexford get involved with Wei 3rd more.

'Wei Changfeng has become a contact now. More in our camp than before.' The Mini said from within. 'A matter with Yu Wenjing iha started to develop. But Aunty Tang is waking up as well.'

'Aunty Tang is the better option. Yu Wenjing had her chances. Pass the matter onto Biao, and Wei Rao to deal with. Good experience for both of them actually.'

Wei Changfeng was sent some information for him to handle personally. Something Rexford wants him to handle to the best of his ability to get out of the shadow of his father's influence.

"How can I help you?" Sini Dova was poised while speaking. "Business hours are over."

"I am sorry manager, but Rexford told me to call when I was ready. I just ran into this young lady before heading in. The meeting.. we can reschedule it later." Sini Dova nodded at her. "Instead.. of arranging something for myself, I would like to arrange it for my new client."

The script that Rexford gave her on her birthday was handed to Sini Dova. The offer was rescinded of course due to the decision made by her. But Han Yun was betting on the favor Rexford gave her working in her favor. If it did, the Xu's would have to make some concessions for her. Which would, make her grandfather take her more seriously.

"I think this matter can go in a way we both agree with." Sini Dova smiled a little. As a Champion of Hera, she gained a lot of power from Women gaining strength. Considering the involvement with Rexford with both of the females in front of her, it was quite powerful compared to normal. 'The suffering inflicted on Xu Rongfei will have to be handled carefully.'

"I thank you for the opportunity." Xu Rongfei bowed quickly in appreciation. "I will give it my best."

"To do so, you will need to become a stronger mindset person." Sini Dova said sternly. "First, need to learn martial arts better. The role of Astronema does require a strong woman. Consider the ties-ins planned, Most of the cast won't meet with you."

"Where will shooting take place?" Han Yun asked.

"The second studio." Sini Dova took the signed the contract and had the two follow her to get a copy. "I have a few ready to get started on the events of Power Rangers in Space, so we can all meet and get started with introductions in a few days."

That Night-

Rexford was going through emails while studying a little. Coming across a few business proposals for a few media content he wanted to purchase, he was really sad he didn;t have the money to purchase Games Workshop. They did agree to keep him in mind to work with him a little in the future.

"Hmm?" An email from Bandai had him a little surprised. "This sounds to good to be true!" Reading the email once more, the cost would be high and he only had three years to come up with the money but damn it would be worth it. 'If I cut some of the IPs out completely and just the one's that I know will do well already for now, it will work out in my favor.'

Making the changes and sending them off, Rexford wished he could have gotten Wizards of the Coast or possibly Konami to facilitate a good future market. Then he was struck with a decent idea that would need some fine-tuning to work.

'I should just make my own card game with what I have the rights to currently. Hell, I have the people to pose for the artwork so it won't be to bad. Just need to design one and wait for the show results.'

It was pretty late when an email came back in regards to the Bandai deal. It also had some details about his script for Power Rangers. Nothing more than the few promotional pieces but an interest in collaboration for the toys.
