Day 34- 45 The Xu's Must pay A price, that simple Part 2

Meeting area-

Rexford rode with Zhuo Tinhao and Biao. They met a few people the moment they stepped out of the vehicle. An older man, who was Vice Mayor Zhang of Qingyang County.

"Master Mingyun," Zhuo Tinhao was about to introduce them but the mayor stopped him.

"Greetings Master Mingyun, it is a pleasure to meet you in person. I hear a lot about you from my brother." Vice Mayor Zhang bared a resemblance to one of the masters Rexford made an exchange with a few weeks ago. "Your words and exchange helped him greatly. He has never felt so alive and healthy. Even has more time to help me straighten out the unsavory city matters. For this, I thank you."

"Well, you are welcome." Rexford paid respects to the man properly. They then shook hands. A green wave of energy passed through Rexford into the man. "An additional gift for you." Not missing the hint from Gaia, he passed on a Spirit Enhancing Pill. "For your health and longevity. Please continue your fine work."

"Thank you!" Zhang took the gift happily.

They made small talk before going separate ways.

"Please do take care of him here." Zhuo Tinhao said. As they left to handle other matters, Rexford went inside escorted by some women.

"Hmm?" Rexford entered the room and was not suprised to see the young woman A'Xiu. Unlike how the original Chen Fan made her go through a bunch of things before accepting her. He would not. She had talent and just need a little guidance and work. 'She would be perfect to make the same as Chang Wen. A devout.'

"The most important matches do not begin until the evening, I was arranged to take you around the area. You may call me Xiu fi you like." A'Xiu didn't know why but Rexford caused her body to become really hot. Considering he sent a strand of Gold Qi to her despite the young woman's fate already tied to his own caused a strange phenomenon. 'I feel so hot and bothered!'

'Oi! What the hell are you doing!?' The mini version of himself called out. You could have at least waited till she naturally started to dig us! Now you better get ready!'

"Hmm?" Rexford didn't know ready for what. He felt his entire body go limp. Even breathing slowed to almost a standstill. 'What the hell!?' A'Xiu pounced on him like a cat on a mouse. His usual strength was completely gone.

*Shine!* Gold light shined between the two. A'Xiu fainted on top of him. Still unable to move, Rexford just gave up and looked inward on himself.

Destiny & the Unending Army-

Rexford looked at the mini version of himself slightly ticked off. To have yourself purposely let you learn a lesson like this, was defintely not a good feeling.

"Calm down, not my idea!" The mini was currently getting choked. The fact it caused Rexford pain and was a form of suicide did not matter in the least. "Blame.. the boss thing!" The mini pointed behind.

A gold robe figure was standing there. With a shadow outline individual to the side. No real defining fixtures were there, but that didn't stop Rexford from not recognizing the creature.

"You bring that filth into my soul!" The Black Gold Vortex spun dangerously. If not for two lines of power encircling it currently, the power it would have delivered to Rexford would have been dangerous. "I'll kill it!"

"Calm yourself." Destiny said. It took a few steps forward changing from a masculine form to a feminine one. "The Unending Army has its natural role to do after all. And you broke a law."

"What possible law could I have broken!?"

"Not any of ours." Destiny shook its head about slightly. "One of its laws. The Unending Army punishes and kills Deities and entire Pantheons that abuse their power. The Gold and Black qi as you call it, are more your power than ours child."

At the mention of child, he shook in absolute disgust. The word sounded like a slap in the face for one. The second was a tone that made Rexford confused for some reason.

"Those friends you prevented from dying the one year was the first offense. Ensnaring someone who was already set to come to your side is an even greater offense." The creature of the Unending Army moved towards him a little. If not for the disgust and revulsion Rexford had for the creature, he would have caught the tender look in its almost unending eyes. "But you paid the price for that with your deal. Even though you are not dead now."

"Do be careful next time." Destiny shifted to its masculine form. Satisfied the Unending Army left Rexford's soul. "You have grown in such a short time. I am proud of you. But do be mindful of your power. The Gold Qi as you put can enforce souls or bring to your side those without a Destiny, but do not abuse those who were already coming to you."

"Tch!" Rexford scowled. He turned to look at the silhouettes all around. "SO if I insert the Gold Qi right now into all of them who have formed.. nothing bad will happen?"

"That is correct." Destiny smiled under the hood. Seeing him not mentally defeated just made this better for the future. It watched as Rexford moved to the one that was Aunty Tang. "What are you doing?" It was curious.

"If I insert into Tang, then her life would be easier than now. A silhouette was forming already and only turn bad after the matter with her husband. His hands spread out as Gold Qi was structured around. "Don't need so much.. just a little to help her along."

"Hold on! Hold on!" The mini version came around looking between everyone. "Are you sure you want her involved in our matters further? After all.. she is married and in this because of our tampering."

"I did not push her off a cliff. So. shut up." Rexford looked at the mini with a scowl. "Besides, if she stays married it just shows her worth as a person going back to a person like that. If you were really me you would no better."

"I do know better, and I am a part of you. The problem is all that Gold & Black Qi you have. It makes it hard to understand ourselves. We are the same but grow different by the day. At this point, I am your humanity really."

"Ah, so useless." Rexford joked. "If the mother is on our side then Jiang Churan will have a better go at things. Or do you think she should be with the bastard Li YIchen?"

"Hell no! Need to gut the bastard!" The mini raged a little. It turned to Destiny catching the smile under the hood. "What are you planning?"

"Nothing. Just want him to rise to the top is all." Destiny turned folding its arms behind. It switched from a masculine form to a feminine one once more. But the mini caught it looked slightly younger. Just a small change in the decrepit old hands. "The Black Qi.. you have seen it's results already."

"Right...." Rexford rembered the feeling and had to ask. "What about when it leaves me on its own? I checked it recently and rembered having more than what I have now."

Destiny pointed at the mini version of him then vanished.

"What did you do?" The Gold Qi wrapped around the silhouette of AuntyTang. Speeding up her recovery. "No funny business."

"Eh, I did what we wanted to do. Remove Xu Rongfei from the equation." The mini said in defense. "She does not offer enough and is barely growing as an individual. Not as fast as the others anyway. Even Mengmeng who we don't even interact with has changed more."

"Hmm, that is true." Rexford didn't strangle the mini this time. "I wonder what will happen when she realizes that I am not interested in her?? Will more Fear develop as Chu Minghui increases his pressure?"

*Woom!* A wave of energy passed over them both. Aunty Tang's silhouette was complete. SHe didn't wake up which was odd. The mini went over to check over as Rexford woke up.

Walking through the area Rexford and A'Xiu made small talk. She felt closer to him and felt something major happen between the two. But it made no sense considering the time frame she lost consciousness.

"The Kung Fu matches in the day are plentiful and with the Underground matches in the evening taking only half that time." With rosy cheeks, she gave him a side glance. The blush deepening as Rexford was already looking at her. "Also, there is a Campfire Party at night."

"Sounds fun. I have some people that might show up that I would like to take to it." Rexford looked back forward. Thinking about the serving women may be showing up. Chang Wen already was engrossed in stuff so she was out.

They turned a corner and bumped into a few people. Xu Ao and company. Rexford and A'Xiu kept moving. A'Xiu slightly afraid of them. But the entwining handhold from Rexford got her attention and was a good comfort.

The cold shoulder given to Xu Ao was not missed by people on the street.

"Who is that young man?" A bald headed man asked. The person was known as Bald Liu and the energy produced by him made Rexford a little happier. "Seems a little strong."

"Just someone in over their head is all." Xu Ao was impressed more and more with Rexford but that did not mean he let things from before go. "Goes to the same school as my daughter. Should be careful of him they say."

"Thank you." A'Xiu let go of his hand not seeing it appropriate to still hold on to him after they got far enough away. "They were so scary, especially that bald man next to the important-looking person. I could feel him look me over like a slab of meat."

"Well you may not have seen him the important person before but defintely heard of him, he is Xu Ao of Haidong. Someone on the decline really" Rexford had thought about just killing the man on the spot. But that would have created to many variables. Plus to many that backed him would be all over it. "Stick with me and I will have you more popular than him in less than a year."

"Many of my acquaintances work for and risk their lives for him." A'Xiu trembled a little in fear. She was after all just a normal person with no power of her own. "Hmm?" She caught on to what he just said but left it alone as sweet talk.

Rexford had placed his hands on her shoulders giving her an affectionate smile.

"Those acquaintances may not be able to change their fate, but you can." Rexford offered. "Pay close attention to the fights today then give me an answer if you want to be someone more important. Hell even your friends can if they get away from him in time."

The two then made small talk as they moved.

Rexford finally understanding more of the Black & Gold Qi. It was like weaving a tapestry or even a web of Fate. THen he thought about using it to connect to his friends that were scattered.

Something told him it was doable but would require a lot of Gold Qi to do so.
