Day 1 Evening & Day 2 Morning Eating dirt .. literally

.

Longjing Villa-

.

The place was pretty big. Gated areas bright sunshine and some nice upkeep.

"Our neighborhood isn't the best in Chuzhou but apart from Yangui Lake, the most famous in Chuzhou is the Yunwu mountain. It's said every morning the houses are wreathed with Clouds and Mist." She dragged Rexford along. It was quite funny to see the woman so happy an cheerful as she spoke. "But I think my house is good enough. The Mountain Villa is gorgeous, but I don't seriously dream about living there."

It was a bit of a lie. But mostly fantasy to live up there.

"Really now, there are ways to get what you want without having to buy it. Just will take some time to make arrangements." Rexford started thinking it over. Ways to make it happen. The simplest would be to create a type of viewing globe for her. 'So many things to do. She seems good enough to help with projects later. Just will take some time to get that trust if memory serves correctly.'

"Great, I am looking forward to it!" Aunt Tang smiled happily. "Make sure you arrange it for your mother as well."

As Aunty Tang went to the kitchen to get some food, Rexford turned from the man sitting in the living room flicking through channels. No reason to bother him from that. Memory served, the dad was a dick.

He moved to sit in the dining room instead. From the information gathered in the car combined with the words from the two, a few places sound pretty easy to take control over.

'To have to build an empire from scratch.. both fun and stressful. I need to hit a club or something to decompress.' Flicking through and creating a few investment accounts with a few penny savings, was just a small way to gain funds. 'Ok, some things are true here so I can exploit that to my advantage quickly. If I had some more money, I could take the plunge on a few shares but.. I am really freaking broke.'

The original Chen Fan's bank account was empty. It was just so pathetic when he thought about how the great "Immortal Chen Biaxuan" or whatever, bitched about money not doing anything in the series. Yet he was put in a bind several times for not having funds.

In a few minutes, Ranran sat down. She gave Rexford a look over before playing with her phone as well. Only a little bothered he didn't even look up at her. The girl was really vain. Seeing him writing in a notebook, she wonders what it was. But a few of the images looked familiar.

"You can draw!" Ranran shouted a little loudly. Moving around the table, she was able to read some of the words now. "Your English... is really amazing. Why are your grades so low then?"

Her father heard the commotion and was pulled from the channel surfing. The grumpy middle-aged man moved to the kitchen to see what was going on.

"My grades were low to help with college. A better chance to apply for certain scholarships in college this way. Since a lot of colleges provide grants to students who they believe have a hard time and poor financial situation." It was the excuse he made to deal with problems that were most likely to come up. Happy really soon actually. "Coupled with the fact my residence has change for my senior year it helps even further. One should take chances when they can, even if it may not pan out well all the time."

"A shrewd tactic. But does it not put you a terrible view by teachers?" Mr. Jiang was slightly impressed as he sat down.

"Teachers are going to have a terrible view no matter what. The majority are bought off by different families and politicians anyway. Or their Alma Mater's influence to improve social status and feel important." Rexford shook his head in disapproval. "I can pay my way through and create a connection if I need to.. but right now moving this way will help gauge the city. As well as the corrupt better."

"Not bad kid, I misjudge you."

"That is fine. It is your house after all. You can judge me however you want." Rexford gave a smirk then went back to writing. Ranran was watching him continue to write in English. Slightly jealous. Both father and daughter were looking at him oddly now. 'Jiang Shanhai is a power seeker and a user by all means. Won't be long before his drive for power ruins his family or himself. Not much I can do about that reality for now.' The stares were starting to irk him though. "What is it?"

"Nothing just wish to pick your mind a little about the English market. I assume since the understanding of the language is so high, you are paying attention to the current events." Jiang Shanhai was not willing to let a resource escape so easily.

As the two talked with Ranran only joining in a little, time passed by quickly. Aunt Tang came around with the food. After complimenting her a bit the conversation turned to what he would do today.

The offer to have Ranran show him around was shut down quickly.

"I am sure she has stuff to do. After all, you both came and picked me up from the bust stop." Rexford excused himself taking the notebook with him. "If I get lost, I will make sure to ask for help."

Feeling his Foundation forming more and more he wanted to boost it even further to eliminate any possible issues. Rexford took off full speed. Pushing the External strength as much as possible, with the shitty body. The real reason he ate such a big helping was because of this.

Running all the way to Yangui Lake was only caught by a few people. Most just thinking they imagined someone running that fast. Finding a good spot, he sat down to cultivate and learn more about the Black Gold Vortex. He got up periodically after taking large chunks of qi in some spots.

.

Encounter-

.

Finding a good spot that was over-saturated, Rexford sat down crisscross and started to devour the rich spirit energy quickly. In a few minutes, his Qi Condensation Realm was destroyed, reformed, and destabilized then it expanded. The Black Gold Vortex growing in size each time.

Slipping into the Foundation Establishment stage early enough, it was spread wide with several methods in place to support it later. One does not build a foundation without making room for support and adjustments later.

As the Black Gold Vortex spun, it churned the dregs in the area into viable energy. The ratio was not ideal but, it gave useful energy from useless material.

Unknown to him, a few of the trees and soil lost nutrients. But they also lost a good bit of the pollution that infected the roots.

"Haaaa!" Exhaling deeply he took a large inhale afterward. Black and gold spirit energy came into his body. 'Just a little more!' A few trees twisted a little towards his direction. His muscles tensed up as well as his body growing just a little.

The hours passed as he greedily devoured the energy from far away. The park acting as a cleanser for the trash energy produced in the city. A few martial artists thought the phenomenon was creating something.

But with the disturbing energy surrounding the park they thought it better not to go just yet.

As the time passed by he went from Foundation Establishment into Profound Opening. The constant pressure on his body pushed him from External Strength into Internal force. The food eaten earlier burned up in an instant.

'Need better food damn it!' Rexford felt his hunger kick up more. Never had he wanted food like this since he was a kid missing meals. Fists balled up, he reaches down carving out some dirt. At first it was to release the hunger pains. 'Need sustenance!'

The dirt was swallowed up by the handful. Not minding the taste at all, he kept eating. Worms and bugs providing all that he needed for now nutrient wise. A large whole was now on both sides of his body.

Pushing pass Entry Stage (D), then into Initial Success stage(C). He was about to stop there but pushed it further. No sense in wasting the chance and having to eat a bunch of dirt again.

As night time passed, Rexford entered the Phenomenal Success stage (B), then the final sub-stage Perfected (A). The way of Earth Cultivation suited his understanding more than Immortal Cultivation.

It helped that the time spent training and fighting with his friends required an understanding of fighting and taking care of ones body. That and all the nagging from the different doctors in his friend group to eat right at least once a day.

'If they could see me eating dirt, what the hell would they think?' Rexford scowled at the state of things. A quick look over his phone and a few emails that were returned was all that he needed to do.

Stretching and standing up, Rexford went over the methods he had at his disposal now. The ability to create Talismans, Condense True Essence, run faster than a vehicle, lift several tons with the combination of the two forces made his prowess even higher.

"Time to get some real food." Leaving the area, he bumped into a trio of people. They were ignored as he really wanted to eat something. His hair was now completely jet black with eyes matching it. The rim changed to gold instead of black. 'I wonder if I can eat solid metal? Nah, might hurt my teeth.'

The idea was pretty absurd. But so was cultivation and Dimension traveling to most people. If he would have paid close attention, Rexford would have noticed he was completely devoid of dirt on his clothes. Considering how much he ate, he should have been filthy.

*Woosh!* The Black Gold Vortex had removed every trace from his clothing.

The trio stopped. Feeling a strange sensation come from him. Rexford was just shaking his head after thinking over what to eat first. As well as solving other appetites. The carnal sort and the need for violence.

"Leave him be, just a young man who happened to pass by is all." The old man thought better of it after feeling some danger.

"He is just some punk most likely." The scar-faced man said annoyed. He was a bodyguard to the other two. Mainly the old man who was getting on in his age.

"Hmm?" The young lady felt something was not right the more she looked at his departing figure. "Grandfather..."

"Wait a moment young man." They did not want him to get to far away. The bodyguard muscles tensed after noticing the change in the young man's posture. His instincts trained from constant combat situations on edge. 'Danger was reported in the area, I wish Master Wei did not want to check it out.'

"What is it?" Rexford asked over his shoulder.

"You shook your head at us. Could you tell me the reason why?" The old man felt a shiver run down his spine after looking him over more. A raw intensity left from the young man. "Their is no way around it, you definitely study martial arts." He gave a fist salute in respect. "I am Wei Fu. May I ask where you come from and who is your teacher?"

"My teachers are long since dead, so that does not matter." Which was the truth. Since Rexford's instructors on his Earth died during an operation in Mumbai. "I studied a lot of different martial arts and mastered none, the same as most."

What was taken from Chen Fan was just learning, not something he considered mastered.

"I see, so you are alone now." Wei Fu guessed this was why he didn't know of this person. Martial Masters disappeared all over the place it wouldn't be to strange for what he said to be true. "Do you have time to spar with my granddaughter over here?"

"Bad idea." Rexford shook no and was ready to walk away.

"Why not!?" The young woman felt slighted.

"Because you are very attractive. The strongest woman I have come across in the last few days." Rexford grinned at her. His eyes shining like a demon. "A spar would turn disastrous as the blood starts pumping to certain places. I am sure you understand what I mean."

"You rogue!" She took a defensive stance immediately. Slight embarrassment coloring the cheeks.

"If we spar... do not blame me ok." Rexford raised his fist forward as he turned to face her. "Are you ready?"

"Yes!" She was anything but ready for this.

*Boom!* A punch forward sent a blast of force out. The buttons on her shirt were destroyed as well as the band in her hair. The strands of hair fell loosely over her shoulders.

"My.. clothes..."

"I never thought I would see such a display in my old age." Wei Fu walked over to Rexford more respectful than before. He control his anger against the the strike against his granddaughters' clothes. "Please excuse our behavior. It was a little impetuous." The bodyguard had his hand on the unholstered gun. 'To fast he couldn't even draw a firearm in time. This could have ended horribly if we were not careful.'

"It is fine." Rexford looked her over a little before giving his full attention to the old man. She had the potential and would make a good asset so would the bodyguard giving training. Thinking on ways to acquire them both was the first thing. "You could do it as well if given the right training method. Your body is pretty amazing. Even for your age and injuries."

*Shine!* The gold rim around Rexford's eyes lit up and rotated a little. He was able to see the different injuries and blockages in the man's body. The potential of life-altering afflictions. The ability of his soul were becoming more apparent. Wei Fu felt as if his entire body was just exposed.

"Sir, you must be kidding. The technique is beyond me." Wei Fu bowed with respect. "That is something of a Master Skill!"

The two others were shocked at how respectful Wei Fu was to Rexford.
