"Is what I did not obvious to you?" the masked Lunaseeker retorted back with an arrogant tone.
Kanon glanced at Leon for quite a bit and shook his head. "They did not deserve this. None of them did." Like the sparks of lightning itself, Kanon immediately jumped forward and confronted the Lunaseeker.
Before he had shown himself, however, the Commander had already dispelled the binding blood casted by the masked man against Sanya and Reno. The latter went ahead and felt both Kyro and Damian's pulses. Reno stared at Sanya and nodded, signaling that they were still alive, although barely now.
Sanya ran towards Leon, but even she knew that this would be a slow death for Leon Vergil. "Turning humans into Lunaseekers…in all my years as an Umbra Knight, I have never seen a successful result. Only gutted remains of what used to be a human trying its best to acclimate to the blood of a Lunaseeker…" she thought to herself.
Leon desperately clawed at his own neck. The boy was out of breath, his veins had all turned a bright red complexion, making it fairly visible through his skin. Reno averted his gaze as it would be too much to watch this kid turn into a something horrific.
"Art of Jupiter: Skyward Blade!" Kanon shouted as he enchanted his sword with the aid of his wand with a glint of lightning. As the Commander swung his blade, it was clear that the masked man was now on the backfoot. He had not expected someone as powerful and capable as the Commander of the Umbra Knights himself to show up.
The man's robe was tattered up, as his body was all covered in cuts. "If there is someone like you still around in this miniscule world of ours, then it seems there's still a reason to live." The Lunaseeker whispered to the Commander before backing out of the fight.
During the whole time, Kanon Sokolov aimed for his mask, but the man was aware of it and dodged the whole time his sword came close to his mask. "Art of Jupiter: Nimbus." Kanon raised his wand to the skies above and turned the clear skies into that of a nimbus-filled one, with sparks of lightning ready to smite down whoever it was foolish enough to face him down below.
The Commander's enemy did not expect him to cast spells of this magnitude this early into the fight, he was hit by purple lightning which came crackling from the nimbus clouds above. "You really are something, Commander." He said before lifting his blood red wand and opening up a portal for him to escape to.
Kanon contemplated about chasing him and going through it, but he had to make sure that the surviving recruits were alright, thus he did not pursue any further. The sight of a portal opening up before his very eyes surprised him, however. "I thought only arcane arts users could use portals, I never knew Lunaseekers were capable of doing it…" he said to himself before going to Leon, who was in a far worse state than the other two.
