chapter 27

"My Lady, I am sorry not coming to meet you sooner." Sanya was bowing while Alan was attending to the wintergarden.

"You wanted to report something the other day.."

"Yes my Lady, I should have come right away, once I was done meeting my family....

The other day when I was on look out, stayed behind because I thought it was wierd that we couldn't see any Monster or beasts around. After my Lady left...I stayed in a tree for a long while and nothing happened even though the forest is full of beast, I decided to go deeper inside of the forest just to check if I could spot any beast of any kind. There was nothing, no even a small crawler was around. As I kept walking I almost fell down in what I thought it was a ditch, it was a valley, full of little houses, my Lady..." Sanya's tone was steady and serious until that moment, but her face turned pale as she said her next words. "...what I saw were Hobgoblins."

Alana eyes widened Hobgoblins were frightening creatures, they would fiercely attack other beings, they were incredibly strong and some even possessed intelligence.

However the stranger part is that they were in this area, this area normally would only attract monsters and Beats with fur, because of the cold. Hobgoblins didn't produce any heat themselves,at least not enough to keep themselves warms like the white wolf. So they would gather in more warmer areas.

'Was that what kept me unseasy all this time.' Even though Alana had no proof, she did think something great might be coming.

"Hobgoblins...I see thank you for returning safe. Have you told anyone about this?"

"No my Lady, I only shared it with you."

"I see.." Alana was lost in her thoughts for moment. "Could you tell Rahul to gather everyone, we may need to make some preparations."

Sanya left after bowing. She ran to the town in search of Rahul.

'If they are close enough to us, why haven't they attacked, were the wolfs injuries by them? Even so... They haven't attacked us until now... For some reason...'

Everyone was gathered in town they heard Sanya's relatory and everyone was surprised, some were scared and some were doubtful.

"Everyone let's take a step back and calm down, there's some kind of Hobgoblins that do live in Frozen Lands, so it's not something out of ordinary. We just need to make sure they are the right type." Said Jakar firmly.

Everyone began to calm by is words, they felt a lot safer now that the warriors had returned.

"Sanya can you remember what colour they were? " asked Jakar.

" Colour?" She wondered. " I am sorry I didn't pay attention to such details." Her head fell down in disappointment.

"Don't worry child, it's okay for you to already have found this information." Said her father, patting her head.

Alana was quiet, she kept wondering why were they close enough and still didn't attack them, all the stories she read and heard of them was without doubt terrifying, and if the white wolf's were attacked by them it means which means they might be the Hobgoblins next target. .

Now that they had more people to defend and fight, it was a question of preparing a plan and wait for them to attack.

Few days later they were still in preparation they were rebuilding the walls next to Manor, they were having vigils in some points where they could cover all points of entry and weaker points of the wall.

The trainees kept training with help of some warriors Rahul was training them ruthless just like their opponent.

Some of the trainees set up traps, noise traps, people worked hard to help prepared supplies in case anyone got injuried.

Days had passed once again nothing happened, everything seemed calm, even though they were prepared, they were anxious, every noise would make them nervous.

"Wouldn't it be ironic if they just torment us like this until we drive ourselves insane, and with anxiety?" Mocked Yanos
