Chapter 5 – How Li Yu's family was destroyed

"Hihi, my lord, hi- hi patriarch's Li's son has woken up, he is not dead."

Breathing out heavily with sweat that could fill a large bucket oozing out from his body, the man let out.

"F*CK!!! WHAT THE F*CK HAPPENED?!"

The naked old man who does not seem to care about his appearance began to curse out loudly while boring his bloodshot eyes into the man's eyes.

The old man could not believe that the perfect plan he had been planning for so long was destroyed just like that.

He had been celebrating notoriously for some days now when he got the news that Zhiqiang had begun to make plans on how to cause troubles for the plum blossom inn.

He had thought that he and the other elders would use that against Zhiqiang.

The old man began to let out chilling cold killing intent.

The maiden who had been sneaking curious glances and listening to what the two men were discussing was already petrified at this moment.

Not giving a damn at all, the old man ordered.

"Send an urgent message to all the remaining elders to come here with immediate effect."

"Yes my lord, I shall do as you've ordered," The man who felt relieved immediately excused himself, while feeling grateful, as if he had just left the sight of the devil. 

"You bitch, if you don't disappear from here this very moment, you shall experience the greatest torture and pain that would make you feel that you should have died."

With a bleak face and red eyes that were filled with too much anger, the old man faced the woman he just had sex with, and threatened without a single ounce of care in his eyes.

The petrified woman was immediately scared out of her soul when she felt the coldness in the old man's voice.

She ran out of the room with only a blanket wrapped around her body, she ran like her life depends on it.

"Son, take care of yourself," Li Zhiqiang said dismissively to Li Yu.

After much talk, begs and loads of promises, Li Zhiqiang finally agreed to not look into the case of Li Yu being poisoned anymore.

Li Yu and Little Liu both left the patriarch's mansion together.

Although it felt that they had stayed longer, they hadn't.

"Little Liu, you can go do anything you need to do, I need to cultivate," Li Yu said dismissive after they returned to their courtyard.

"Ma- master, you- you want to- to cultivate?"

Little Liu was soo shocked when she heard her master.

"Yea, cultivate."

"Master, that's great, that's great."

Happiness immediately took over Little Liu's mind when she realized she had not misheard.

She felt like crying out in joy at the moment.

She couldn't remember exactly how long it was since she had been hoping and wishing that her master would take interest in cultivation so that he would be able to stay above everybody, be respected and feared by all that had looked down on him.

Like a maiden who had just received her first gift from her boyfriend, Little Liu skipped away happily.

Li Yu couldn't help but shook his head helplessly with a small smile on the corner of his mouth.

Walking to his soft bed, Li Yu sat down in a meditation position.

He sat down on the bed with a straight back and feet flat. They formed a 90-degree angle with knees.

'I should sort out all the cultivation techniques in my head first before I begin my cultivation journey.'

Li Yu thought quietly, then he closed his eyes.

Li Yu first glanced through all the cultivation manuals in the memories that belong to the owner of this body.

Although the owner of this body does not like cultivating, he still loves to study different cultivation techniques and martial art manuals.

Li Yu couldn't help but ridicule all these techniques.

"How dare they give all this trash so many fancy names? They even dared to treat them as treasures." Li Yu thought out loudly while spatting heavily on the floor that was laid with beautiful straw mats, made with some unknown materials.

Li Yu breathed in and out a few times before he was finally able to settle his consciousness into his memory again, but this time, into his memory.

Li Yu began to browse through thousands of skills and techniques in his mind in a lost state.

He had forgotten himself, time, and space at this moment.

Suddenly, Li Yu's body trembled a bit, and his tightly closed eyes shook while his brow furrowed in sadness.

His mind was currently locked on a cultivation technique, named; 'The Great Primordial Heaven Technique.'

Li Yu was suddenly taken to the past.

Back then, Li Yu was the number one prodigy of the heaven domain continent.

He was always respected by everybody, no matter what their age, position, and cultivation stage.

They all felt that Li Yu would be the first person to reach the great emperor stage then, so everybody always kissed his ass.

Even amongst Li Yu's pairs in those days, he was always rushing ahead with great margins.

Li Yu has two friends then, they were always together if Li Yu was not practicing.

Li Yu has two best friends then, those he had known growing up.

One male and one female.

Li Yu began to remember scene after scene.

And then, to the encounter that destroyed his life.

Li Yu and his two friends along with other prodigies had entered a tomb of a deceased great emperor cultivation stage then, and through different challenges and tests, Li Yu was finally chosen as the successor of this emperor.

Being as he was, one who trusts easily, Li Yu told his two friends that he had received access to everything that was in the tomb then.

He had even begun to make plans of how he would give his two friends shares from everything he had got then, but who would have thought that they would betray Li Yu?

His so-called best friend schemed against him and his family.

They rallied all the great powers in heaven's domain and told them that it was Li Yu who had succeeded the great emperor and that he had received everything that belongs to him.

Li Yu and everybody included had believed in the reason his friends had said then

Unfortunately, that was not the reason.

The real reason was just to get their hands on something they call (the great primordial heaven energy). They said it was included in the great emperor's fortunes.

They tortured Li Yu's family in front of him then, using it to threaten Li Yu to give them the source of energy.

Unfortunately, Li Yu does not know what the great primordial energy was, even till today.

He had first thought that it was the manual that has the same name as the energy, but they thought he was playing games with them.

Li Yu felt so much anger, betrayal, and pain then, that he had been screaming 'WHY' until he had lost his voice.

When they realized that Li Yu would not be giving them what they want, they had destroyed his physical body and locked his soul into a place worst than the eighteenth level of hell.

Back to presence.

Li Yu suddenly opened his eyes which had become completely bloodshot at the moment.

His body began oozing out black energy, and his hair began to lift itself and become suspended in mid-air while rippling like an ocean.

Li Yu resembled an asura with his current appearance.

If anybody was here at the moment, the black energy would have frozen them to death, and even if they were not frozen to death, they would have certainly become mentally disabled.

It was only someone who had killed millions of people that would be able to let out this sort of killing intent that was visible to the naked eyes.

All of a sudden, Li Yu felt that his inner body was boiling.

"F*ck!!!! What's going on?"

Li Yu suddenly cursed out loudly, in pain, when he felt a scorching heat coming from within his body.

This immediately woke Li Yu up from his asura state.

He hurriedly rushed into the washroom and flew into the bath that was currently filled with cold water.
