Draco Malfoy love story year 1

My name is Hunter Potter. Yes Potter. Like Harry Potter. He is my half brother who does not even know I exist. I live with my uncle since my mother was killed when I was 10 months old. I was born almost one month after my half brother on September 1st which is the day the Hogwarts train leaves.

My family life is a bit odd. My mother was killed by the Dark Lord. My father was James Potter. My mother was Eliza Prince Gaunt who after dying left me with her half brother Severus Snape. My mother is a pure blood with Eileen Prince being her mother and her father was Mordrid Gaunt. Yes Gaunt so the man who killed my mother is my great uncle. Morfin Gaunt is my great grandfather.

My uncle told me not to ride the train and we would just go by apparition. Because he told me if I rode the train and sat with people who weren't in my house it would be hard for me to find friends. But I told him no I needed to go by train for a couple reasons one being my cat who would not enjoy appariting there. Plus if I had any chance to find friends I needed to use the train.

When I received my letter for Hogwarts I already knew about my magical talents. When my uncle Severus went to school he brought me with him and with my photographic memory I read many of the books in the library. I started on the bottom. All the shelves in the library had 12 rows. At this point I had read the bottom two rows in each shelf. So I already knew more than most of the younger students in Hogwarts.

So when I went to diagon alley my uncle told me of my father's wealth which he had left me some when he died in Gringotts bank. So I had plenty of money to buy my school supplies.

While there I remrbered the books I needed. Standard book of spells grade 1, a History of Magic, Magical Theory, A Beginners' Guide to Transfiguration, One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi, Magical Drafts and Potions, Fantastic Beasts and Where to find Them, and lastly The Sark Forces: A Guide to Seld-Protection.

I also had to buy three black robes, one black hat, one pair of protective gloves, and one winter cloak. School supplies I needed a wand, a cauldron, a set class or crystal phials, a telescope, and a set of Brass scales.

After that I found a pet store, my uncle told me to just buy an owl and come on. "No I'm getting a cat." I found one that was so cute. It was white and had a black tail. I named her Lily.

As I was leaving I saw a broom, the Nimbus 2000. I told my uncle I was going to buy it.

"First years aren't allowed to have a broom." He told me.

"Can't you keep it in your office until I get on the team?"

"They won't let a first year on the team. You can buy it if you want. It's not my money."

" I really want to be on the team. "

"If you want to be on the team then try but I am telling you no first year has been on the team in nearly a century. "

I bought the broom.

When my uncle dropped me off at the train station he told me to be careful of a few families. The Goyles, Crabbes, and most importantly he told me to stay away from the Malfoys. I promised him I would. After that I got on the train and went into an empty carriage.

I got on the train about 20 minutes early so my expectations were that my carriage was not going to be empty the whole time. The horn started going off signaling 11 o'clock, time to leave the station.

Not long after the train horn stopped was there a knock on the door. I opened it and three boys were standing there.

The blonde one said "all other carts are full can we sit here?"

"Yes that is fine" I said looking at the two larger boys behind him.

All three came into the room. The two larger sat on one side and the blonde boy sat next to me.

"I am Draco and this is Vincent and Greggory. "

"Hunter. " he didn't want to tell me their last names and I wasn't going to tell him mine.

"What house do you expect to be in?" Draco asked me. "We all plan to be in Slytherin. "

"not sure. I'm smart so maybe ravenclaw I'm also cunning so maybe slytherin and I'm brave so maybe gryffindor. You never know. "

He laughed. He took cards out of his bag and asked if I wanted to play. I said "sure. why not? What are we playing? "

He taught me a few new games I had never heard of. After a few hours the lunch trolley came by and Draco asked what we wanted then paid for it. After eating I asked why he paid for everyone's food and he said "why not? When you have as much money as my family might as well use some of it."

"Who's your family?" I know I should not have asked but he was being so nice and I just wanted to know his name.

"The Malfoys"

My jaw dropped as he said it. How could my uncle tell me not to talk to him? He was so nice.

"Better close your mouth a bug might fly in. "

I did as he said and closed my mouth.

"Is something wrong with my name?"

I shook my head no and left it alone. Someone came to the door and told us we would be arriving soon.

Draco told his two friends to get their robes and go to the bathroom to change. "I will also leave you if you would like to change in here instead" he said.

I nodded. As they all left I pulled the blind down and changed. After a few minutes there was a knock on the door and Draco asked if I had finished getting dressed and I said "yes" after all three boys came back in the room and sat down.

After a few more minutes the train started to slow. Finally we were at Hogwarts.
