Douluo: Crow's Guiding Light

In a world where martial arts reign supreme and the divide between the privileged and the commoners is stark, Sheng Jun, an orphan born into a humble background, grows up ignorant of the ways of combat. Despite his lack of training, he possesses a latent talent that goes unnoticed until fate intervenes in the form of a dying martial master, himself a product of commoner origins. Recognizing Sheng Jun's untapped potential, the master takes him under his wing as his final disciple, passing on his knowledge and skills before drawing his last breath. With the weight of his master's teachings on his shoulders, Sheng Jun vows to use his newfound abilities to challenge the injustices plaguing society, where the powerful oppress the weak. Facing formidable adversaries and daunting obstacles, Sheng Jun's resolve is tested time and again. But with each challenge he overcomes, his determination only grows stronger. Along the way, he gathers allies from all walks of life, united by a shared desire for justice and equality. As Sheng Jun's reputation as a champion of the oppressed and a teacher for all spreads, he draws the attention of those who see him as a threat to their positions. In the end, Sheng Jun's journey culminates in a final showdown with the forces of tyranny that lasts for 30 days, where he is slain due to his only weakness being exposed. He closed his eyes in both regret and satisfaction; regret because he never really had time to enjoy his life, but if given another chance, he would still make the same choices. Still, his last thought was that of satisfaction, knowing that his goals had been accomplished. Little did he know that this was not the end for him, as he opened his eyes in the world of Douluo Dalu. ... I'm writing this fanfic primarily for myself and for those who are interested. The MC will primarily interact with the original main characters of the show, but he will not harbour prejudice against Spirit Hall or hate them in any way without a good reason (obviously since they help common people awaken their martial soul). This is not a harem fanfic, and the MC will not pursue romantic relationships with the original characters. Instead, he will focus on helping them improve in strength and character, particularly Ma Hongjun and Dai Mubai. English is not my first language, so there may be many typos and mistakes. This is also my first book, as I didn't find any Douluo fanfic that suited me, so I decided to write one myself. You can't imagine how unbearable my sister and I feel when reading some fanfics. Of course, some might feel the same about my fanfic, and you're free to have your own opinion, so ignore it if you don't like it. By the way, I have no idea how Chinese names work so if you see a mistake please feel free to comment.

Evil Fire Phoenix and Corvus

With Flender's Spirit Saint pressure bearing down on him, Su Yuntao found himself pressed to the ground, his face drained of color as sweat poured uncontrollably from his brow. "Respectable Saint, I was acting out of greed and ignorance just now. Please spare my humble life!" Su Yuntao pleaded desperately, his voice trembling with fear.

"Hmph, I will let you go this time, as I am in a good mood. Now, hurry up and help Xiao Jun awaken his Martial Soul. After that, get the certificate done for Ma Hongjun, then scram!" Flender snorted coldly, retracting his pressure and casting a disdainful glance at Su Yuntao. Glancing at Ma Hongjun, Flender couldn't help but feel secretly pleased when he noticed the admiring glint in the boy's eyes, forming what appeared to be a star shape.

Sheng Jun proceeded to awaken his martial soul, gathering an immense amount of light into his body, startling Flender with its intensity. "Could he be so lucky to meet two people with Innate full soul power at the same place, both of which are his disciples?" Flender wondered, anticipation filling his heart as he watched the scene unfold. Meanwhile, Su Yuntao observed with a gloomy expression, feeling the pressure of impending disappointment and another promotion slipping away.

As Sheng Jun felt a surge of energy coursing through him, he experienced a feeling as if something had broken free inside of him. A majestic white bird manifested behind him, emitting a regal shriek. Surrounding him was a radiant white light, exuding a healing aura that filled the room with tranquility and refreshment. Some of the light coalesced into a crown atop his head, and a faint halo appeared behind him, imparting a sense of regality and holiness.

Su Yuntao and Flender stood stunned, momentarily speechless, while Ma Hongjun nodded knowingly, as if saying 'That's my brother' Sheng Jun turned to face Su Yuntao, causing him to tremble lightly before regaining his composure and instructing Sheng Jun to retrieve his Martial Soul and undergo soul power testing.

Sheng Jun complied, retrieving his Martial Soul possession and proceeding to test his soul power. Brilliant light erupted from the crystal ball as Sheng Jun's hand made contact, filling the Martial Soul Hall with its radiance.

"As expected, Innate full soul power!" Flender remarked with trembling excitement, his heart racing with joy. Meanwhile, Su Yuntao sighed heavily, resigned to his fate, and proceeded to write the certificates with a somber expression.

Approaching the two brothers who both looked like fallen immortals, Flender wanted to pat their shoulders, intending to express his congratulations and satisfaction. However, he soon realized his oversight when he noticed Ma Hongjun still in his Martial Soul possession, his body still engulfed in purple-red flames. They were too excited just now and forgot to let Ma Hongjun retrieve his Martial Soul first before testing his soul power.

"Ahem, you can retrieve your Martial Soul now, Xiao Hongjun" Flender said, feeling slightly embarrassed. Ma Hongjun naturally complied, retrieving his Martial Soul and returning to his 'normal' appearance. However, something seemed amiss as Ma Hongjun's physique had undergone a drastic change – he had become overweight.

Tears welled in Ma Hongjun's eyes as he looked at his body, then glanced at his brother and teacher for help. Sheng Jun furrowed his brow, puzzled by Ma Hongjun's transformation. "Teacher, why has Hongjun become like this?" he inquired.

Flender pondered for a moment before responding "This must be a side effect of his Martial Soul. It's possible that his Martial Soul is too powerful for his body to bear, or it may have mutated into a weakened version of his inherited Martial Soul, resulting in a defect. Given the circumstances, the former seems more likely. Hongjun, tell me how you feel right now"

Ma Hongjun blushed with embarrassment as he recounted his current situation honestly, including the overwhelming vitality in his body and uncontrollable desires.

Upon hearing Ma Hongjun's explanation, Flender fell silent, deep in thought. "The only solution for now is to find someone to help him suppress it" Flender concluded after a moment of contemplation.

Sheng Jun, noticing Ma Hongjun's face turning even redder, couldn't help but scold him sternly, expressing his disapproval of the situation. "Don't even think about it, you little brat! You're only six years old, and as a noble phoenix, how could you engage in such... behavior with just anyone? As a phoenix, you need to find another phoenix or a dragon to be your partner. How can you resort to such…dirty things?" Sheng Jun blushed slightly as he spoke.

Ma Hongjun felt wronged as he got scolded and couldn't help but complain while scratching his cheeks in frustration. "I can't help it, brother. Besides, I don't want to do it with just anyone either" he explained, his tone filled with dejection. Ma Hongjun turned to Flender with pleading eyes, hoping for a solution to his predicament. "Teacher, is there no other way?" he asked, his voice tinged with desperation.

Flender, hearing Ma Hongjun's question, fell into a momentary silence as he pondered the situation. After a brief pause, he spoke slowly, choosing his words carefully. "Your urge seems to be driven by the unending vitality in your body. We can try to find another way to utilize that excess vitality, and it might help alleviate the problem for the time being" Flender suggested.

As Sheng Jun heard Flender's suggestion, his eyes brightened with excitement. Without hesitation, he grabbed Ma Hongjun's arm and headed towards the exit, eagerly explaining the plan as they walked. "This is perfect! With the amount of vitality you have in your body right now, you can withstand the special training I have just devised for you. Not only will it help utilize that vitality of yours, but it will also help you lose weight and make you even stronger. What are you waiting for? Let's go to that big rock over there and wait for me while I go fetch the equipment!" Sheng Jun urged, his enthusiasm palpable.

Just as they were about to leave, Su Yuntao's voice interrupted them. "Please wait" he called out, a hint of impatience in his tone. "Both of your martial souls are unprecedented. I thought Ma Hongjun's was a Fire Phoenix, but considering such a side effect, it doesn't seem to be one. Similarly, yours resembles a white bird like a swan, but it doesn't look like a swan at all. Besides, your Martial Soul possession doesn't even have wings, even though your Martial Soul is obviously that of avians. I need a name for the certificate. Do you have something in mind?" Su Yuntao pleaded, clearly eager to bring the ceremony to a close.

Sheng Jun paused, considering Su Yuntao's words carefully. After a moment of thought, a peculiar name popped into his mind. Turning to Ma Hongjun, he proposed "Your Martial Soul's side effect is extremely 'peculiar', even bordering on sinister. How about we call it 'Evil Fire Phoenix'?" he suggested

Ma Hongjun nodded immediately. "You're right, brother. It is indeed a bit evil, that name is really fitting" he agreed wholeheartedly.

Satisfied with Ma Hongjun's approval, Su Yuntao quickly jotted down the name on the certificate. Then, turning to Sheng Jun, he awaited his decision. Sensing Su Yuntao's gaze, Sheng Jun smiled confidently and declared "Just call mine 'Corvus'"

Without waiting for any further discussion, Sheng Jun took Ma Hongjun's hand and led him towards the rock, eager to begin the special training. Flender followed behind them silently after he got the certificates from Su Yuntao, his curiosity piqued by what these two little monsters were up to.

The rock here is not the large rock they usually practice at, but just a big rock that Sheng Jun decides to use for training purposes.
