Meeting Klein

I teleported directly to Daffodil Street in Tingen while maintaining Psychological Invisibility so that even 0-08 can't detect me. The air here is much more fresh than in Backlund. Klein left for his meeting with Old Neil about half an hour ago. I didn't come then because I don't want any unwanted things to happen because of early detection by 0-08. Also if I removed 0-08 earlier by force, one of my most powerful bargaining chips will be useless so I have to go with round about method. Though I have used Visionary powers to make sure Klein returns by 7.30 pm.

Well since Klein isn't here yet, might as well meet his family. While thinking all this, I remove the Psychological Invisibility but still block 0-08 from sensing me. I then move towards Unit 2 in Daffodil Street and knock on their door. I hear a female voice saying "coming" from behind the door, it's probably Melissa.

A black haired girl with a thin pale face opened the door saying,"Welco-" her greeting got caught up in her throat. Her face turns red and she gives the vibe of a girl in love. I see, another one. At this point I am numb to this situation.

In response to her shocked and embarrassed expression I just say, "Is Mr Klein Moretti home?" This wakes up her from her emotional turmoil but her face is still red.

"He just went outside a while ago." Melissa replies.

"You are?" I ask her.

"I am Melissa Moretti, Klein's younger sister." She answers me with a red face.

"I see, Miss Melissa if you don't mind may I wait for Klein at your home? Its quite an important matter. Ah pardon my manners, my name is Maximilian Hendrix, nice to meet you." I greet her in an elegant manner. While I do this, I give a suggestion to her that makes her more accepting for her to let me stay there.

"Sure you can wait for him here. It might take a while for him to return though." She invites me inside in the small apartment. "Please make yourself at home, I will prepare some tea for you." She goes towards the kitchen to make it.

I stop her by saying, "I just came here suddenly to meet Klein and am an uninvited guest so you don't have to make it."

She just replies, "Alright." And sits in front of me with a table in between. My lips twitch at her response, this girl is very straightforward. But then again straightforward girls are much better than conniving bitches.

"So what do you do for a living? And why are you looking for Klein?" She asks me.

"I have some businesses in Backlund. I recently came to Tingen and was recommended Mr Klein for his services, so here I am for a visit and consultation on certain things." I make some bullshit up. "And what do you do? Are you a student? Pardon me if I am being rude." I ask in return.

"I am a student at Tingen Technical School's Steam and Machinery Department. I know its not a very ladylike profession but it's my dream to become a mechanical engineer." She says to me.

"That's a very good dream, I find it admirable that you have such a dream. I can clearly see the passion for it in your eyes so I am pretty sure that you will be successful in your endeavors." At this there's a sparkle in her eyes and she makes a wide smile making my heart skip a beat. I know now why I seem to like her, she is very similar to Eva except she isn't yandere for me yet. Yeah I know Eva is a yandere for me, honestly I feel that the real reason she "accepted" the harem is because of my ring.

"Thank you for the compliment, Mr Maximilian." She says to me with a smile.

"Please just call me Max." I tell her. It's because I have decided something at this moment.

"I don't think that's appropriate." She says while shaking her head.

"I insist. Besides I don't think we are far apart in terms of age, so you don't need to be so formal with me." I tell her.

"Alright. You should call me Melissa too." She says with a blush.

"Okay Melissa." I nod to her. At this moment, there's a knock on the front door.

"It's probably my eldest brother." At this she gets up to open the door.

While Melissa going there to open the door. A sudden virtual reality like message pops up in front of me.

Reading the message my lips twitch because of how ridiculous it is. Also there is only one choice there like what? Anyway I won't join this. Firstly, even if I wanted to travel to other dimensions, I don't think I need help from a chat group who might be controlled by some higher level beings. I can accomplish that with my cheat when I reach the peak of this universe. As for chat group interactions, I will have Tarot Club soon so I don't need that anyway.

Hence I use the Error Authority to influence the interface in front of me and it gets affected by it. Making my decision all the more right.

I choose decline option obviously.

After that I greet Benson and then make some small talk with him and Melissa while waiting. Benson is quite a polite fellow, though that might be because of my dressing manner and how much favor Melissa is showing me. He first thought that I was here for Melissa considering that I don't look that old. I clarified my reason for coming here as well but he made a doubtful face because of the expressions that Melissa is making at me.

Time passes quickly and it's 7.30 pm. Suddenly there is a knock on the door. Here comes Klein.

Melissa welcomes him inside while telling him about my presence. I stand up to greet him.

"Good evening, Mr Klein Moretti. I have some important things to discuss with you."
