Preparations: Ending

The light of the teleportation circle dying down I arrived at my next destination.

A giant Japanese mansion.

I walked up to the front gates, then as soon as I did several yokai guards appeared and surrounded me.

This is Shoei's home after all.

If I am going to fight a war in Japan, then what better allies than the resident supernatural's themselves to assist me?

"Halt!" One of the guards shouted at me. He then stepped forward, pointing his naginata in my direction. "Who are you?"

"Wait." Another guard shouted. "At least, it is lord Kufa." He spoke.

As soon as he did several of the other guards lowered their weapons.

Then the guard in front of me did so as well. "Forgive me Lord Kufa." He asked.

I shook my head. "No need to apologize you are just doing your duty and I did show up unannounced. Think nothing of it." I told him.

"Thank you." He said. "But I must ask, why have you come here so late?"

"I wish to speak with Shoei." I said.

"Of course." The guard said.

He then turned around. "Open the gates." He commanded.

Then the gates of the mansion swung open. Once they did I was escorted inside.

And just like usual several yokai were running around the grounds.

It never ceases to amaze me. Even when I spent all that time here years ago. More than any other supernatural species in the entire world yokai come in the widest variety. Some are humanoid, some are spirit-based, others are animal-based, yet still others can be human-animal hybrids. Some yokai are even classified as gods in certain circles.

It's no wonder why the Shinto Pantheon is one of the oldest in existence, and is still around today. Having such a wide variety of supernaturals means they have a wide variety of strengths to draw from.

Truly marvelous.

As I walked through the mansion grounds several yokai I met previously greeted me, and I greeted them in return.

But before I knew it I arrived at the main house.

One the guards opened the door. Then immediately after he did who should I see but Setsuna.

She stopped in her tracks and turned to looked at me.

"Kufa, what are you doing here?" She asked me.

"Oh, just here to speak with your brother, and maybe your father." I explained to her.

"Unfortunately father is not in at the moment. He's currently in Kyoto meeting with lady Yasaka and one of the Shinto gods." Setsuna explained.

"That's fine. I'll just speak with Shoei then." I said. I then saw the violin in her hands. "So, looks like you are still playing music after all this time?"

Setsuna is real master of the violin. She took it up shortly after we met all those years ago, and has only gotten better since.

"Yes, I am." Setsuna said. "Excuse me." She spoke. She then walked off, a light blush appearing on her face.

I shook my head. That girl acts hard on the outside, but is really just a sweetheart on the inside.

Anyway, after Setsuna left I continued following the guards and they brought me to a sitting room. So I took a seat, while they went and got Shoei.

20 minutes passed, but he finally showed up. Dressed in a very stylish red kimono.

"Kufa, this is a surprise." He said, coming to sit in front of me. "I didn't expect to see you."

"Yeah, well certain things have happened." I told him. "Things that had to be conveyed in person. But more importantly, who is she?" I asked him.

"Eh, what do you mean?" Shoei asked.

I then gave him a knowing smile. "Nice try my friend. But you can't fool a guy who has also rushed to a meeting just after having sex." I told him.

He's showing all the signs. A happy smile on his face, water all over his body meaning he just took a shower, hastily thrown on clothes, but most of all he didn't scrub hard enough, I can still smell a woman's scent coming from all over his body with my enhances senses. Shoei can't fool me.

But I am happy that he got himself a lover though.

Shoei clicked his tongue and then sighed. "Fine it's true, I have lovers."

"Eh?" I mused.

Shoei then looked at me with wide eyes.

My grin then got even bigger. "I only smelled the scent of one woman, but to think you have two lovers. Introduce me to them some time?"

"Sure, whatever." He said. He then put a serious expression on his face. "So, what's so important you had to show up in the middle of the night?"

"An incoming attack." I told him. I then gave him the gist of the situation just like I did with my mother. About Kokabiel and his army, and my plans to stop them.

Shoei simply listened throughout the entire thing.

He's becoming a fine leader.

"So, what is it you need from me?" He asked after I was finished.

"I want your help." I told him. "I want you to fight alongside me. Kuoh Town may be under the devil's jurisdiction but Rias and Sona will surely die if they try to fight Kokabiel and his army. That's why I'm doing things this way. I've already secured help from my mother, but I want to make extra sure Kokabiel can't weasel his way out of this. Not to mention this is going to take place in Shinto faction territory, your home, so I'd thought you want in. That's why I would like you and some of your yokai to assist us with the battle. So, what do you say?"

"I need to run this by my father. But I'm certain he will agree to help you. And I will stand and fight with you when the time comes." Shoei said.

"Thank you." I told him.

We then shook hands.

"Now that that's out of the way, let's go see those lovers of yours." I said.

Shoei's browed twitched. "You said I could introduce them to you sometime."

"Right now is sometime." I said. "Unless you don't want me to meet them for some reason. Are you perhaps embarrassed by them? Or maybe you're comparing them to my lovers? Either ways it's totally understandable, my girls are top grade after all." I said, putting a smug grin on my face.

"Fuck you." Shoei said. "Sayaka and Nobara can match your girls in looks and talent without even trying. Here, let's go meet them and I'll show you." He said.

Shoei then stood up and started dragging me along with him.

Meanwhile I put a smile on my face.

Reverse psychologically and trolling at its finest.

The two of us quickly moved through the halls of the mansion, until finally we reached Shoei's section. He then took me to a big room and swung open the door.

As soon as he did I saw two beauties in robes sitting on a couch.

One of them is Shoei's age with dark brown hair and light green eyes, with D-cup breasts.

Meanwhile the other girl is older. She looks 22 years old, and has pure white skin, long cream-colored hair, and sky-blue eyes. Her breasts are C-cup, bordering just on D's.

The two of them looked in our direction as soon as Shoei opened the door.

When they did I recognized the brown-haired girl.

"Eh, Sayaka, this is a surprise?" I mused.

"Go die Kufa." Sayaka told me.

I just smiled.

She doesn't mean it.

Sayaka Kirasaka. She is an onmyouji. One who is a member of the Kirasaka family, who has been retainers to Sesshomaru for over five hundred years. She is also Shoei's childhood friend.

I met her several times all those years ago.

To describe her in one word...

She's a tsundere.

All the time she used to say how she and Shoei were just friends and we never be anything more, and now here she is as his lover.

Ah, the joys of life.

Speaking of which, what the hell is going on with me and discovering relationships tonight? First Gin and Tsubaki, then my mom and Ruthven, and now Shoei with Sayaka and his other lover.

Tonight sure has been strange.

"Good to see you again as well Sayaka." I said to her. I then put a grin on my face. "From the looks of things you and Shoei are going well, "really" well I might add."

"Shut up!" She shouted at her, her face turning red.

"Fufu, that's our Sayaka. She can never say what she really means." The other woman spoke.

I looked at her. "I don't belive we've had the pleasure. Ms. The name is Kufa Vampir, one of Shoei's friends."

"Nice to meet you. I am Nobara Yukinokoji. Shoei's personal bodyguard and his lover." She said.

Oh, so Shoei took a page from my book.

Good man.

I nodded my head as I stood to my feet. I then went to sit in one of the chairs.

After I did I started chatting with the three of them for a while, ignoring Sayaka's cries for me to leave. Which eventually stopped, after she joined the conversation.

During which I learned that Nobara is a yuki-onna or snow-woman.

I know that in DxD the yuki-onna are actually buff yeti's. But that only applies when the child of a yuki-onna is born a male. When they are born a female they follow the accurate legends and are beautiful women.

Moving on, I only stayed for 30 minutes. The three of them were obviously in the middle of the enjoying their night before I arrived, so as a gentleman I decided not to keep interrupting.

I said my goodbye's and left the mansion.

Then I teleported straight to my room and used magic to change into my pajama's. I then hopped into bed.

The preparations had all been complete.

Now all that's really left to do is wait.

Which is always the hardest part.
