CHAPTER ~ 4

LILY POV

"LILY~" I was making my bed for the night when Olivia enter the room with a big smile on her face. " guess what ?"

"What ?" I ask.

"This," she said showing me some dresses. they were really beautiful but from where did she get these and why?

"Where did you get these ?" I ask.

she grin and sit beside me and said:" Samantha give these to me".

I rise my eyebrow at her "Samantha ?" .she nod. I narrow my eyes at her.

"Okay fine, I saw her kissing someone behind the orphan. so I blackmail her and I just take two dresses for the banquet. that's all." she grumbles.

"you what ?" this is something new. but wait " who is the boy she was kissing ?". I ask

she shrugs her shoulder " I don't know . his back was facing me so I can't see his face." " But look how beautiful these dresses are and it's not like I rob her she already has a lot of dresses' being a personal favorite sure brings a lot of luxury."

I shake my head "you are impossible".

"that I am" she replied proudly.

"But how will we go? we have work " I ask

"you will see "she looked at me smirking. now, what going on in her mind? oh my god save me.

NEXT DAY

I am going towards the kid's room to play with them a little bit. when someone grabs my wrist and starts dragging me god knows where.

"you never listen. do you? I told you to meet me in our room at 7 sharp" It is Olivia.

"Oli, what are you doing," I ask once we enter our room she locks the door and moves towards the wardrobe.

"Listen here, I told everyone that you are not feeling well so you are going to bed early and I will look after you ."

"why ?" I ask going toward her.

She glare at me and said "you forget again. don't you ?" " We have to get ready for the banquet".

seriously, I am not at all interested but looking at her exciting and happy face I can't say anything to her.

"here, this will look good on you," she said giving me a blue gown. it matches my eyes.

It's a strapless simple. it hugs all my curves perfectly. I let my hair open. I have black hair and this dress is highlighting my features.

"wow, lily you are looking beautiful," Oli said looking at me.

"you are looking beautiful yourself, Oli," I said. she is wearing a green gown which has some black embroidery and a deep neck . she has black eyes and blond hair and this gown looked perfect on her.

she did my makeup and then hers and left her hair open as well. I look at myself in the mirror and I must admit she is good at it.

"let go. it's already 8;45. we need to hurry because have to return before 12" she said opening the window and jumping out.

sign. can I not go? but I am all ready and there's no turning back. our room is on the ground floor so it's easy for us to sneak out. I jump out and we left as quietly as we can.

we found the carriage after a few minutes and left for the town hall.

Here we are standing in front of the town hall. it's beautifully decorated. and a lot of people were going towards it.

"it's beautiful." Oli said excitedly and hold my wrist " what are we waiting for. let's go".

we were about to enter when Alex stand in front of us.

"look who we got here miss Lily and her minion," he said annoying me. he look at me up and down and said "I must admit. you are looking gorgeous".

"move Alex. we are not here for you. and for your information, she is not my minion. she is my best friend." I said pointing at Olivia and glaring at him.

"And what if I don't move," he said while smirking.

"then I won't hesitate to break your nose and trust me I can break it," Oli said from beside me and yes she can really break his nose.

"feisty, I like it. alright, I am leaving. for now" he left after winking at me. oh, how much I want to smack his stupid face.

Alex is the son of our town head and that gives him the freedom to do whatever he wants. but out of all the things he loves to annoy me and I hate him. and like a cherry on top he is the only kid of Mr. Henderson.

we went inside and it was more beautiful than outside. A slow song is playing in the background and food is placed nicely in the corner.

"Look there's so much food". Oli said and start dragging me with her towards the table.

As we were eating I feel like someone is staring at me. I look around but there were so many people I could not see the one who is staring at me. but I can feel him. I decided to ignore it and keep eating.

"There are so many hot guys". Oli said eyeing every guy who passed by us.

"stop eyeing them like that," I said hitting her shoulder lightly.

"oh, come on. it's once in a lifetime opportunity. let's just enjoy ourselves and all things apart this food is so freaking delicious I can eat it all my life." she said taking a huge bite of a cupcake.

"you are a hungry beast when it comes to food but I must admit the food is delicious".

some couples are dancing when a man comes and asks Oli to dance. of course, she said yes leaving me here alone. I am watching her dance when my eyes land on Alex. he is coming towards me. I hurriedly leave that place and move towards the backyard.

It's quiet and peaceful here with a soft breeze adding to it. I spot a bench and sat there I will go back after 10 min. Olivia might get worried.

I am sitting here but I still can feel like I am being watched. so I decided to go back in. I was about to enter but I bump into someone. I close my eyes and get ready to fall to the ground. but it never happens instead I feel someone's arm around my waist.

I slowly open my eyes only to see a pair of green eyes staring back at me.
