The Return to Xiapi final part

Yun was taking Rin around the compound while presenting her to some people whom she would meet often in the manor like the strategists and generals under Yun's command when they arrived at the training ground.

Rin could see the soldiers train intensely and hide behind Yun because of the aura they were giving off. Yun only smiled seeing how cute Rin was behaving when Yun picks her up and places her back on his shoulders.

They walked for a bit when they find the first one Yun wanted to present to Rin. Rin looked at the young woman holding a bow in her hands concentrating as she was aiming at a target before releasing the string making the arrow fly and hit said target.

"Wow," says Rin amazed by what the woman did when the woman turns around to them and Rin could see her face which has some features of her father.

"Father," says the woman before noticing Rin sitting on Yun's shoulders when she asks, "Who is she?"

"She is your sister, Rin. I adopted her on my journey to scatter your grandfather's ashes," says Yun before placing Rin down and saying, "Rin, this is your older sister, Mulan. You might not see her anymore around Xiapi in two years."

Rin was at first excited and happy to see her new sister before she got confused and sad after hearing that she would be leaving in two years which made Mulan on the other hand turn red since this would mean she would leave Xiapi to marry Sun Quan in Jianye because she would be in her father's eyes an adult.

"Why do you have to leave in two years?" asks Rin sad to hear that her new sister would be leaving them.

"Well, how do I explain this?" asks Mulan herself embarrassed not knowing how to explain the situation to a four-year-old girl.

"Mulan will be marrying someone. It isn't that she wants to abandon us but that she will be creating a family with someone else. One day you will also leave the nest just like Mulan," says Yun seeing that Rin wasn't understanding everything but enough to understand that Mulan wasn't leaving them out of spite of her.

"I will never leave you, Dad," says Rin cutely which earned some brownie points from Mulan who took Rin into her arms to hug her.

"We will see about that. There once was a girl just like you not wanting to leave my side and now she can't wait to be seen as an adult by me so she can get married," says Yun with a smile on his face while looking at the two as Mulan just coughed twice to hide her younger-self mistake.

"I wasn't talking only about you, but also your aunt. She was so cute when she was Rin's age always clinging to me and Hua," says Yun holding his chin before passing his hand over the rough beard he grew over the journey which he will soon trim to make it more appealing.

"Aunt?" asks Rin confused since she hadn't met Qing yet.

"Qing doesn't live in the Zhao Manor but in the Wei Manor which is a bit further away from the Zhao Manor but in the same military compound," explains Mulan to Rin letting the little girl go before saying, "But right now she must be planning the wedding of our uncle, Hua, with our future aunt, Taiyin."

Rin still hadn't met Hua nor Taiyin making her look confused while she looks at Yun who says, "You will meet them soon enough but maybe you might meet your uncle Hua before meeting your aunts."

"Is uncle as strong as you?" asks Rin curious since she didn't have an uncle before.

"He is quite strong but not as strong as me. But you will know why when you see him," says Yun as he takes Rin's small hand into his own before moving onto the training field while Mulan took Rin's free hand.

They moved and Mulan was telling Rin stories about her childhood when they reach the next place where Hua was training Fang at the moment. Fang was getting better but he was still no match for his uncle who was standing over him while pointing his spear at Fang's throat.

"That was good, Fang. You made me sweat a bit," says Hua with a grin on his face before pointing the spear away and stretching his hand toward Fang who grabbed it.

Hua helped Fang up and Huixiu who was on the sideline walked toward Fang wanting to cheer him up as she always does when Fang loses against Hua or her father.

"I can see that you have improved a lot from the last time I saw you," says Yun a bit proud of Fang's improvement when he turns to Huixiu and continued saying, "And I can see that your fiance cares a lot about you since she is trying to cheer you up when you fail."

"Father," says Fang feeling a bit embarrassed that Yun saw him lose again.

"There is nothing to be embarrassed about. You already joined us on the battlefield and you should know that it is better to fail here than on it," says Yun warning Fang to not take his training on a light shoulder since death could be just around the corner for everyone.

"Anyway, I came to find you all to present someone special to you," says Yun before shoveling Rin gently before him while saying, "This is Rin and she is my daughter."

This shocked the trio as they looked at Yun in disbelief when Rin gives a slight bow to show respect to them while saying proudly, "I am Zhao Rin, daughter of Zhao Yun."

Rin was quite proud of herself but it looked just cute in the eyes of the others since she tried too hard to get this sentence right when Hua kneels down and puts his hands under her armpits before lifting her up and throwing her into the air making her laugh because it was fun before being caught again.

"You are such a cute girl," says Hua before placing Rin down and saying, "I am your uncle Zhao Hua but you can just call me Uncle Hua with your cute voice."

Hua places the girl down when he receives stares from Huixiu and Mulan which made him shiver for a moment before he pets Rin's head and asks, "So you will be learning how to fight with a whip once you are old enough to train?"

"No, Dad said that he will be training me in the way of the spear, Uncle Hua," says Rin sounding cute while Fang had a jealous glint in his eyes which resembled Zheng's and he wasn't the only one with Mulan having the same glint in her eyes.

"Zheng will also be trained by me beginning from now on. I have pushed my responsibilities back for too long out of fear of losing one of you on the battlefield. But now I know that if I want you to survive out there you should learn from the best not only from your uncles but also from me and I mean not only Qi as I did before," says Yun looking at Fang and Mulan.

"I made a mistake when I pushed you two away and gave you to my Generals to train you because I saw them fitter than myself to train you and once your mother was taken away from me... Let's just say that I didn't want to lose you two either," explains Yun trying to make the twins understand him.

"I won't be training you since you already have your instructors and it would make it look like I am not pleased with how they trained you since they shaped you the right way after all," says Yun before folding his hands behind his back.

"But I will be looking over your training a bit closer than before to help you improve faster than before," says Yun looking at Fang and he infuses Qi into his vocal cords before shouting "Also, I hereby declare Zhao Fang as the next in line should I ever fall on the battlefield or die from old age. Anyone not following my will should be seen as a traitor that wants to bring the Zhao Family down."

The shout was heard all over the city as everyone heard Yun's words which declared Fang as the next head of the Zhao Clan should Yun die when Yun turns to Fang and says, "You were always my first choice to become my heir even if you didn't learn my style of fighting."

"Thank you, Father," says Fang wanting to kneel but before Yun could stop Fang, Rin did it.

"Dad hates it when people bend the knee too easily," says Rin trying to sound serious but failing again as it made Yun and the others laugh for a bit.

"Anyway, I need to look over some documents which stacked up since my absence. How about you three finish Rin's tour around Xiapi since you should know it better than me," suggest Yun handing Rin over to her older siblings and Huixiu.

They leave immediately leaving Hua and Yun alone when Hua says, "So are you going to adopt another child or maybe two?"

"No, Rin was the exception. I never had in mind of adopting a child but after what I saw in Zhan... Let's just say that her actions against the Xiongnu made me want to adopt her and her father died trying to fend them off," says Yun trying to explain to Hua why he adopted Rin.

"Also, she's good with animals," says Yun which now surprised Hua who looked at him confused when Yun continues, "She seems to be the only one except for me to be able to pet Thunder."

This now shocked Hua who couldn't believe what he just heard while Yun was walking away when Hua catches up to him and says, "You must be joking, right? RIGHT!?"

"There is only one way for you to find it out and I won't stop you from trying it," says Yun continuing to walk back to the Zhao Manor leaving Hua standing on the training field in disbelief.
