“So, tell me something about Vanessa.” Austin asked.

Austin reminisced that the moment when he asked Krist about certain information about Vanessa. He asked every single detail such as favorite color, favorite food, what does she like, what’s her favorite hobbies and more. Krist managed to disclose some important fact about Vanessa. He said that Vanessa was only child and her father left them when she was 12 years old, reason why she had a little bit grudge towards men. Her father left them for his new family. Resentment towards her dad grew as she grew up.

Austin felt sad when he heard that story from Krist. He stopped Krist from telling the story. Instead he asked him about the things she wanted. He then, mentioned that Vanessa loves reading books, novels and at night she loves reading books with soda and fries.

“She loves reading while drinking soda and eating fries?”

“Yes! Exactly! I remember that one night, I was with her and she disclosed that was the best feeling ever. She would never trade that moment at the expense of having a boyfriend.”

Austin was heading his way back to his apartment when he reminisced that conversation he had with Krist. He whispered that Krist was really helpful and couldn’t help himself but to trust that guy. When he was reminded of certain things, he looked the time on his watch. When he found out that it was too early, he suddenly went to the French Fries store.

While waiting in line, in order for him to be sure enough that Vanessa was at her apartment, he called Krist. Krist was not able to pick the call at once because he was taking a shower. When he was about to place an order, Krist answered the phone. Krist mentioned that Vanessa went to his apartment a while ago and at that time, she maybe arrived on hers; Austin took the chance to buy her lots of fries and two bottles of soda.

“Okay! Thanks Krist!”

When he took his order, he suddenly went outside until he knew that he didn’t know where she was staying – he had no clue where Vanessa’s apartment was. He then, called Krist again. He immediately asked where Vanessa’s apartment was. He instructed him and Austin profoundly followed the instruction until he arrived on the apartment.

Before knocking the door, he fixed his hair, fixed his clothes and smelled his breath. When she was ready to knock, he tried to clear his throat and finally knocked on the door. On his first attempt, everything seemed so quiet. Carrying the bag of fries, Austin was not used to that kind of situation. On his second attempt, he tried to knock louder but he failed again. When he was trying his third attempt, the door suddenly opened without him touching the door.

“Austin?”

“What are you doing here?” Vanessa shockingly asked.

Austin just smiled and showed him the bags of fries and two bottles of soda. He claimed that he brought her favorite bed-time snack, He meant the snacks she likes while reading a book. Vanessa was in awe and was in the state of elevated surprise. She wouldn’t expect that Austin knew what she wants. She was thinking that someone fed him with so much information about her and even her favorite fries and soda were present.

To her surprise, Vanessa attempted to close the door until Austin found himself pushing the door harder.

“Wait! Is this your proper way of treating a visitor?” Austin asked.

“Okay, what do you want?”

“I just wanna give this to you.”

Then Austin handed in the snack and sodas to Vanessa and left the apartment. When he was walking away, Vanessa called him and He stopped. “Thanks!” she uttered. Austin turned his back and said, “That is that first time I heard you saying that word.” After that, Austin walked continuously. Vanessa was still standing in front of the door of her apartment and seeing Austin leave.

When she couldn’t see him anymore, she went back inside. The smell of the fries took her attention. She even closely moved her nose to the bag to essentially smell the addictive aroma of fries with cheese. She was elated but she didn’t know why. She was asking herself if she was happy because Austin went by to bring her favorite food or she was just simply happy because of her happy food. Without knowing the real answer to her happiness, she began sitting on her bed, opened her favorite novel entitled “Walking with Stranger” and read. White taking a bite on the fries, she began wondering how Austin knew about her favorite fries.

“Hhhhhmmmff?” she hummed.

“It’s for you Hon” Max surprisingly uttered.

Max appeared before the three in the bench. Max was Rick’s girlfriend. She brought foods and sodas to his boyfriend. Max was a communication graduate of another university who happened to be in relationship with Rick for 3 years. She was working and her time to Rick was really limited, reason why Rick was falling out of love with her. However, Max was still persistent and trying her best to be a good girlfriend.

“Wow! What a great surprise!” Andrew mentioned.

“Yeah! Someone was really dying to see you again.” Austin teased Rick.

Max kissed her boyfriend and mentioned how she badly missed him. She was apologizing for not giving time for him and Rick understood her reason. When the two were intimately talking, Austin and Andrew left them, mentioning that they’ll be doing something on the library. Max suddenly played a role of a good girlfriend, touching Rick’s face. Meanwhile, Rick was uncomfortable to the situation. Maybe she was guilty of kissing Mitch or maybe his feeling towards her girlfriend has faded away.

“For sure, he’ll like it.” Mitch uttered.

Mitch bought drinks and snack for them because they had planned to take lunch together until she saw the two having a conversation. Mitch was shocked because that was the first time she saw Rick’s girlfriend. Wearing a beautiful dress and having a nice body and white-tone skin, she felt worried and insecurity devoured her self-esteem. From afar, Rick saw her and Mitch was walking away. When Rick wanted to follow him, Max asked him where will he go. Max grabbed his hand and mentioned that she was hungry already, reason why she asked him to visit the nearest cafeteria.

While heading their way to the Library, Austin and Andrew saw Vanessa and Krist. They approached them easily and Austin asked them where they were heading to. Krist mentioned that they’ll be going to the cafeteria to take their lunch. Austin placed his right hand to Krist’s shoulder while saying that it was their destination too. He asked them if they could take their lunch together. Krist looked on his friend, Vanessa for confirmation. Vanessa nodded and uttered that it was not a problem.

Then, the four took their lunch together on one single table. Beside them was the couple – Max and Rick while Mitch took her lunch alone on the bench near the library.
