First Lover (Book One)
"Your smile your beautiful smile that only makes my day better just by just looking at it," he said and it almost sounded like he was smiling himself.
stop now I don't want to hear it anymore.
"Talk to me," he said, gently touching my hand that was still on the handle but I froze once more due to his touch and he removed his grip.
"Please do not touch me," I said and my voice sounded faint. "Sorry, I didn't mean to do that," he said back.
His touch felt familiar but still foreign to me. "Sorry for all that, I just missed you," he said once more and I only feel the tears squeezing up out of the corner of my eye.
"Can't you just stop, I would not have come here if I knew you would be my teacher, I would never have moved to this city if I knew you lived here" I said.
"I did not know you were going to be my student either, I saw the name well, but I did not want to think too much about it, I did not believe it was you," He said quickly.
"Can't you just pretend we don't know each other?" I said.
"Aria you know I can't do that, what we had can't just lie behind it, we need to talk, I want to hear how it has gone with you," he said and I only hear it was hard for him like it was for me.
"I do not want to talk to you, I have done my best to contact you since you left me all alone and you did not respond once as if you had just disappeared," I said and heard silence.
"I finally found a place where no one knows me and no one questions why a 19-year-old does not have a real job as she should or why she does not go to college," I said again and clenched my fist.
"So please do not tell me we need to talk because there is nothing to talk about, you do not know me and I do not know you," I said and felt I sniffed quietly.
"Thank you so much for teaching Mr. Collin," I said, opening the final door and walking out of this school as fast as I could.
I quickly wiped my eyes and took the bus home before it got too late.
