Capture That Feeling

With the never-ending holiday party at home, no one will miss her if she takes the same flight with that tall boy, right? All she has to do is get on the plane, never mind if the plane will bring her from Oslo to China! --------- "Would you like to come into my room, join me with some drinks and hear what I want?" she drunkenly said it at that time. "Don't worry, I don't mean any harm," she said assuring the man before she dropped herself to the couch. "Are you traveling alone? Don't you have any adult companion with you?" he carefully asked as he stood in front of Ellise. "Hey, mister, you must have difficulty understanding, I already said, I'm alone, right?" she answered back. "You're clearly too young to be drinking alone in a hotel room, in a country where you don't know anybody and on top of that you invited a stranger in your room," he said with concern. "Why, you're also too young to be having an affair with a married woman, meet her in a hotel away from the city in the middle of the night. How old are you, anyway?" she sarcastically answered back, avoiding the issue of inviting a stranger. "I'm twenty, and I'm not having an affair with a married woman," he answered with a straight face. "If you're not having an affair why the two of you clearly look like you're hiding," she said, not planning to lost an answer and question interrogation "Listen, little girl. You better stop drinking because you're already drunk with all of these expensive wines," he said in annoyance. "You see, I have a credit card that has no limit, paying for all of my expenses here. I've been here in Shanghai since the first week of January, and today is my birthday. It's almost two months already, but nobody has come or asked from my family if I'm okay." she said in a broken voice. ---- Book Cover by: Sendaline_16

The Mysterious Player

Han clapped his hands to break the ruckus, and ordered "Okay, everyone dismissed." Wan said after Ghost escaped from this hyped group. "All of you returned to the game floor, except for DT and Grand."

"Yes, Boss!" a chorus of boys testosterone loaded answered in unison.

"You might be wondering why the two of you are playing for the opening game when you're not in the lower half of our members ranking," Wan said after the door was shut by the last person who went out of the room.

"It's because that competition at the end of the month will be the last game, the two of you will play as teammates, and I want you two to make good memories," Wan explained.

"When did you become sentimental?" DT asked grimacing.

Wan just gave his nephew a humorless smile.

"Boss, what gives to so many changes in the club." Grand still can't believe that he's now a captain of his own team.

"Well with the changes in the federation I think it's good timing to make it official, we need to show our strength as being the top club for the new clubs," Wan answered.

Grand looked at DT showing no sign of worries with the major changes in the country's CTF professional gamers.

"Why, are you scared?" DT smirked at Grand's stunned face.

"Your ass!" he retorted.

"This isn't an unplanned decision, it has always been on the blueprint of WIZ club, yet the plan to implement this game plan was delayed because I was waiting for the new member that we'll be having that I've been personally training for the past years, while I've been pushing all of you to develop your own skills."

DT and Grand look at each other with incredulous expressions on their faces.

"This information that I'm the one who trained her for the past 2 years is confidential from the rest of the team," Wan told them.

"You did the training yourself?" the astonished DT asked.

"Her? Our new member is a girl, boss?" Grand smiling broadly asked.

"Why having a girl in the club makes you happier than having your own team," Wan said scowling at Grand.

"Heh, no Boss! Of course not! It's just shocking since we weren't supposed to have a girl in the club, right?"

DT spoke before Wan could answer Grand, "It looks like this is the change that you're devising than the club finally having two teams for competition."

"She makes it easier for me to reach this decision," Wan said.

"You're pretty confident with the skills of this new member." DT's unimpressed.

"When can we meet her, boss?" Grand asked, leering.

"She'll arrive tomorrow if there are no changes with her schedule. I have no plan on announcing it to the whole team during the meeting, because all you will be just like how you're acting now Grand, I need you all to focus on how the changes of having two teams will affect your game, instead of thinking that you'll have a girl team member, so keep it between you two, especially you Grand," he said with a warning tone.

"Boss, my lips are sealed, though I don't understand the secrecy. I mean, the boys would be so happy!" Grand answered.

DT frowned with the need for confidentiality of the new member, but unlike with the loose lips Grand, he knows that his uncle won't give them an answer. Asking him will be just a waste of breath.

"Can we go back to the game floor now or you still have a mystery announcement for us?" bored DT asked.

"No." he throws a USB to DT "Make use of this with your training with Grand. Once Ghost comes back tomorrow, the two of you will train with him."

DT and Grand smiled broadly with each other with the idea that the Ghost General would train them personally.

"Now scram, go train!" Wan told them off.

"What's the deets, new Captain?" Seven grabbing Grand's arm, as soon as they come back to the game floor.

"Starting tomorrow I'll be playing with the Ghost General." Grand bashful with the given privilege that everyone wants to experience, playfully grabs and dunks Seven's head, under his armpit.

"Wooh! Do I have to be a captain too, to have an opportunity to play with the Ghost General?" One's said.

"Hah! The hell, you're dreaming bro!" Spirit laughing at One.

"Yo!, Choosing your gamer name after the Ghost General, won't give you the chance either to be trained by him!" One answered back.

"Are you going to train? Or do you want to run outside?" Wan's bellowing voice echoed from the second floor that stopped the bickering and turned the game floor into an orchestra of clicking mouse and keyboards.

---

"Is she really coming back?", Nina asked her husband. "Did you tell DT that your mysterious player is Ellise?"

"No, I didn't tell him. I don't think it's necessary."

"Aren't you worried that it'd somehow affect your nephew's performance, especially now that Grand will be having his own team?" worried, she said.

"Babe, don't think about those rascals for a minute, will you? We're both very busy that it's hard to find time to be together." Wan, moaned his complaint to his wife.

"Poor baby!" she said in a soothing voice.

Wan grabbed his wife and imprison her in his embrace, "Battery charging."

Nina looked at his husband's tired face and took pity. She's been busy with her thesis, while he's occupied with the left and right meeting to get more investors for the club, added the discussions with the CTF federation that is exponentially growing in China. E-sports are now slowly but steadily being mainstream.

In the current situation, where there are so many changes taking place, is it really a good idea to have Ellise on the team. Isn't it best to let the sleeping dog lie?

"Stop thinking about it." he tightened his arms around Nina. "DT is an adult, and mature for his age,... too mature if I would say so. It would be good to have his feathers ruffled once in a while."
