Chapter 1The Devil's Awakening

Borneo's eyes fluttered open, the sting of harsh sunlight piercing through his eyelids. His body ached, and he felt the cold, rough pavement beneath him. Confusion gripped him as he slowly rose to his feet, rubbing his temple to soothe a pounding headache. The street around him was unfamiliar—dusty, narrow, and filled with the murmurs of merchants and the occasional clang of metal from distant blacksmiths.

As he glanced around, a man walked past him. The figure was wrapped in a dark cloak, moving briskly through the crowd. Without thinking, Borneo reached out and grabbed the man's arm.

"Where am I?" he asked, his voice hoarse with confusion.

The man stopped, turning to face him with a look of mild surprise. "You're in the streets of Varkus," he said, eyeing Borneo suspiciously. "The heart of Odin."

Borneo's heart skipped a beat. *Odin*. The name rang through his mind like a bell, shaking loose memories he hadn't realized were hidden. Odin—the most powerful territory in existence, the land said to house six thousand states, each one brimming with weapons of unimaginable power. But more than that, Odin was a holy land, a place sacred to the gods themselves. A place that, for centuries, had been untouchable.

Until now.

The man pulled his arm free and continued walking, but Borneo's mind was racing too fast to notice. Varkus, Odin, the sacred lands. He knew why he was here. He wasn't an ordinary man waking up from an ordinary slumber. He was Borneo, son of the Devil, son of Jezebel, the dark prince sent from the depths of the underworld itself. His father had entrusted him with a mission—to live among the living, to blend in with them until the time was right.

The time to rule Odin.

Borneo's mission was clear. He had been sent to this holy land to destroy the destiny of the unborn king of the Odin Order, Darius. A king who, if allowed to come to power, would restore Odin's ancient purpose and reclaim its sacred status before God. Darius was the key to maintaining the balance, to protecting the world from the forces of darkness. And Borneo was the key to preventing that.

As Borneo's mind focused on his task, he felt a surge of power within him. A cold, dark energy that slithered through his veins like poison. He could feel his father's presence, the Devil's command urging him forward. Borneo had been chosen because he was not merely the son of a fallen angel; he was a weapon himself. A destroyer disguised as a man.

He would be the one to plunge Odin into eternal silence, to shatter the centuries-old order and corrupt the sacred mountain forever.

But this task would not be easy. Odin was not just any territory—it was a fortress, guarded by ancient magic and the will of gods. And now, in this moment of weakness, the gods had failed. Marinq, the protector of Odin, had faltered, allowing the Devil to infiltrate the holy land. Borneo had been given the chance to seize control, but the road ahead was fraught with danger.

The unborn King, Darius, was the last hope of the Odin Order. His birth was foretold in prophecy, a king blessed by the gods who would rise to protect the holy mountain and lead his people into a new era of light. But not if Borneo succeeded. Not if the son of the Devil fulfilled his father's will.

As Borneo stood in the bustling streets of Varkus, the people around him moved about their lives, unaware of the dark force standing in their midst. He was a shadow among them, but soon, his presence would be known. Soon, the streets of Odin would tremble beneath his feet.

His mission was clear: find the unborn King and snuff out his destiny before he could rise.

With one last glance at the busy marketplace, Borneo smirked and began walking toward the towering spires in the distance, where the heart of Odin pulsed with life. The Devil's agent had arrived, and soon, there would be no escape from the darkness he would unleash.

The reign of Darius would never come to pass, and the holy mountain would fall.

Pokemon Alternate Universe Adventures

A man from an Earth gets the choice to start over in any Universe and chooses an Alternate Pokemon Universe. Let us see if his journey to the top is succesful and the impact he will have on his new world. Pokemon is owned by Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures Inc. I just use their sandbox for the plot of my MC and my OCs. This will be a "slow" paced story, in fact it's "super slow paced", so please don't expect the MC to directly start his journey in 20 chapters or so, actually multiply that by like 15. A lot is going to happen before that happens. The first 10-20 chapters or so are information heavy, depending on what kind of reader you are. I try to keep my chapter length between 2000 and 3000 words per chapter. My release rate is 4 chapter/week for now. I have a patre*n for those that want to support me with access to some advance chapters as a thank you. patre*n.com/Azrail93 This is an alternate pokemon universe so there will be differences to the games, manga and anime. So if something in the story is different it is most likely on purpose. The original sources are seen as suggestions not laws. Differences can be: Type variants, evolution conditions, strength mechanics, world building and more. If I am at some point asking for reader input I will do so but otherwise I will ignore most suggestions. So please don't spam things like catch this pokemon or do that next. I have my plot planned and external input will be considered when asked for. If I see a suggestion that I believe fit my plot flow I will use it and will credit the commentor. Comments on spelling and grammar mistakes are welcome. I will try to correct said mistakes with time. Constructive criticism will be read and considered. Insult and hate comments will be ignored or deleted depending on severity. Readers naturally can comment their dislike but one worders will be ignored. If the reason for the dislike is explained I will read it. Like previously mentioned pure insults and hate comments will be ignored or deleted. The same is true for simple hate reviews or insulting ones. Reviews complaining about something I warned about, such as the slow pace, will be deleted as well.
