[Name: Hundred-Thorn Metal-Silk Armoured Gloves]
[Quality: Prototype, High-grade]
[Effect: Reduces vibration, absorbs kinetic energy from incoming attacks and increases outgoing attacks. Can withstand attacks above Level-Nine, limited to a Titan attack]
The sky was dark, but Erian could still make out the outlook of thee glove. Its body glinted sharply steel, with a dark metallic sheen on it, similar to tempered Iron.
It felt very hard, yet flexible to his touch. A low stream of coldness radiated off of it, feeling like original steel but at the same time, like a pair of warm skin on his hands.
Knowing that there was nothing much to lose, Erian immediately wore it, and it felt soft and very comfortable. The interior wasn't as cold as the exterior and quite the opposite, it was warm and as he clenched his fist, while it felt different from just his ordinary palm, the glove was light, similar to that of plastic glove. It looked like hood stuff.
Erian's frown was starting to lose itself bit by bit. While he was still furious about the reduction of the ten thousand energy points, he was now believing that it was all worth it now. Otherwise, he might just be angered to death had the glove been entirely useless.
Erian's was a bit surprised when he noticed it. A high-grade prototype weapon? He hadn't even glimpsed a low-grade weapon as they sell for an astronomical amount price in the market. Almost at the same value as combat techniques.
It wasn't sure any store within the village can even afford to sell combat techniques and weapons. Since they are rare, it's most likely only in the Town and city one could find those techniques. That's the difference between the towns and villages. Villages lack resources that the town has excess.
Moreover, the Prototype and Combat techniques could sell for an astronomical amount of money. The least combat technique or weapons are priced at 70-80 thousand bronx and if one is unlucky to meet a greedy trader, then at least a hundred thousand bronx would suffice.
But now, Erian possesses a high-grade Prototype, the value which would most likely exceed two hundred thousand bronx when sold.
Naturally, Erian didn't know about this. Although well-informed, the previous Erian thought things like that were beyond him. Therefore he didn't make an effort to learn about them. The difference between prototypes and normal steel weapons is that one can infuse nuclear energy into prototypes to increase their effectiveness.
"What happens when I infuse nuclear energy within it? Let's see."
Just as he thought of this, streams of nuclear energy flowed from his body towards his arms. Instantly, the glove began to let out a soft humming sound like a soft but barely visible luminescence radiance emanated from its body.
Clenching his fists, almost thirty spiky furs extended from his two fists. They were only five centimetres long, but they looked deadly and also very strong. Releasing his clenched fists, the spikes retracted back, bending to form the harmless, perfect but dark-looking gloves once more.
A rustle sounded out from the grasses nearby. Erian jerked his head in the direction of the sound.
It was actually another large rat yet, a much weaker one. Its quality is normal and its level is even lower than what Erian had seen so far, Level six.
"I shall test you with it then."
The grass a few centimetres around him compressed to the ground as he stomped his feet. With astonishing agility, he had arrived before the beast. Although startled, the beast also possesses incredible reflex and immediately tried to flee upon witnessing Erian's speed, it was already too late.
The gloves trembled and stretched out the spiky needles .
"Bang!"
The head of the Level-six large rat caved in immediately, with multiple holes on its head like a sieve. It wasn't even able to as much cry out before it instantly died.
Erian felt the resultant force being broken down bit by bit and the energy drastically reduced by the gloves. When he had punched the beast's head, it should have felt like he had punched through steel due to the innate iron bones of the beast, making his arm slightly numb. However, it was more like a heavy rock of just flesh, not too soft and also not to hard. Nevertheless, it didn't affect his stance.
He rolled his shoulder. With the gloves, he was even more confident in achieving his goals. Suddenly, he had an epiphany. If the needles on the glove could cause such an effect on the beast, what if he added the steel horns and then place them within the Ultimate converter to transform, there was a possibility that the spiky needles could become even longer, and thereby even more deadly. He could just extend out when even his punch was about to connect, like wolverine.
Erian was feeling excited about this thought and he acted. Removing the gloves, he held both the horn and the gloves and then sent the thought.
Instantly, his excited expression melted like snow and his face darkened as he flushed red in anger. "10,000 energy points? Why don't you just rob the Federation's Nuclear Storage Capacity!?"
"Hmph!" Dismissing the thought he had, Erian harrumphed, wearing the gloves back while keeping the horns. His first priority was to increase his Nuclear Pulse talent before anything else.
There was not enough nuclear energy reserve within his chip. Therefore, he needed to amass enough before he decide to head into the forest.
With the aid of the Bio-lenz, he was able to quickly identify a few syringes with serum residues within. Erian took his time, picking up a few that was actually worth more and then keeping them safely on him.
It wasn't until he found the fifth syringe did he decide it was time to absorb them. He wasn't as luckily this time though. While there were a few mid-grade failed products, he couldn't find any high-grade serum residue, making Erian a little sad.
Dismantling little screws and needles from the syringes, he absorbed the nuclear energy and extract the serums into vials. Turning out to be two complete mid-grade serums and a half filled vial of serum.
Not having to worry about his nuclear energy being exhausted, Erian thought he was ready to head into the forest now.
