As Ye Fan checked his attribute panel and couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. "This rate of vitality and spiritual power accumulation is impressive," looking at the ever-increasing points of vitality, reaching 552 and 535 points of spiritual power, curious about items given to him by the guards, decided to take a closer look at the next intriguing item in his possession: a distinctive box adorned with the logo of a cloaked figure wearing a mysterious mask and thought, "What could be inside this mysterious box?"

With a sense of anticipation, he opened the box, revealing a futuristic device that resembled a sci-fi-inspired watch. Holding the device in his hands he muttered to himself, "Is this the SkyDrive they told me earlier." he also found a potion nestled together with a small bottle similar to a test-tube with red liquid in it.

The device seemed to have been made by using a very unique metal, "I saw these devices on guards and medics. According to the guards, this device contains personal information of all members of Society. Like ID's similar to holographic device before connecting to the Shadow Base Network."

Ye Fan examined the SkyDrive more closely, noting its sleek, metallic design with a futuristic touch, "Wonderful, It's like a fusion of a smart mobile device and a holographic interface. I've never seen anything like it before."

Ye Fan slipped the device onto his hand, expecting the usual awkward fit. Instead, with a gentle hum, the metal morphed, seamlessly molding itself to the contours of his palm and fingers. Tendrils of silver, almost undetectable at first, emerged from the core and burrowed into his skin, seeking neural pathways seamlessly connecting with his nervous system of his eyes through precise bio-integration to project holographic displays.

The moment the device found its place on his hand, a holographic display emerged, hovering in the air just in front of his eyes. As Ye Fan's attention remained fixed on the holographic screen of the SkyDrive, a small, welcoming note materialized, its letters formed by shimmering, nanoscopic particles of light. The note exuded an elegant and futuristic charm, blending aesthetics with practicality seamlessly.

What truly made the SkyDrive stand out was its neural connectivity, a concept that pushed the boundaries of technology. The device was crafted from a special, neural-responsive material capable of reading and interpreting the user's neural responses.

Ye Fan found he could effortlessly manipulate the device, transforming it into an extension of his thoughts and intentions. With just a little bit of focus of his eyes he can navigate the holographic interface, select functions, and even input text or commands, or change to different interface and can easily zoom in and zoom out. It was a truly seamless and intuitive way to interact with the advanced technology of this world.

One of the first features he decided to try out was the communication function. First, he searched for name with Li Chen, then checked for his friend from the available results as it showed images of the account holders and sent a message: "Hey, it's Ye Fan. Just got my SkyDrive. How's it going?"

Within moments, his friend's reply appeared on Ye Fan's screen. It read, "Ye Fan, great to hear from you! I'm still getting the hang of this technology. Everything's been going fine. Looking forward to catching up." Ye Fan couldn't help but smile at the exchange. It was reassuring to know he could stay in touch with his friend. The SkyDrive's communication function proved to be both intuitive and efficient.

As he delved deeper into the capabilities of the SkyDrive, one feature in particular captured his attention, and he remarked with excitement, "There is also a storage space that's incredible – a whole cubic meter space that can store lot of things, carrying items without the need for bulky bags or containers although it's not as convenient as Inventory of attribute panel, I can use Inventory to store the things that need to hide them from shadow society and use the SkyDrive to store general things!"

Experimenting further, Ye Fan stumbled upon a holographic terrain projection feature, a miniature cityscape eerily reminiscent of the Shadow Base looming before him. "This map," he breathed, tracing the shimmering streets with his finger, "It provides information about the locations I might need to find. It'll make navigation much easier." It offered a three-dimensional representation of the facility, allowing him to zoom in or out, pan across the map, and even check specific locations within the research complex. It was a valuable tool for navigation and orientation, and Ye Fan found it to be an excellent resource for getting around.

Ye Fan saw another practical aspect of the device, "Resource allocation – is this related to resources allocated by Society? or can I request for any special resources through here, maybe something like that." There were many such functions like Mission notices, communication functions, and many others.

Feeling more comfortable with the device, Ye Fan decided to follow the special instructions provided in the welcome note.

As Ye Fan observed the message on his SkyDrive and noted, "Just as Su Mu mentioned, I've got a task briefing scheduled for tomorrow at conference hall 19U3."

As curiosity continued to drive his thoughts, Ye Fan couldn't help but wonder about the nature of the task that awaited him and his fellow experimenters. With his inquisitiveness guiding his actions, he turned his attention to an additional note about the test tube containing the red liquid known as the Qi Supplement Potion.

He gazed at the potion with a mix of frustration and resignation. He despised the fact that he was compelled to take it, and the thought of Society's control over them frustrated him. However, he understood that he had no choice in the matter. There would be an inspection at the conference hall before the task briefing, leaving him with little room for defiance.
