They flew all through the day and night before stopping at Rambo, a small town on the outskirts of the nation.
It was early in the morning, so Xaloc could see the breakfast street sellers carrying their wares and shuttling through the streets. He saw store owners preparing to begin their businesses. He saw bearded, old men sitting under a tree to avoid the sun.
The townspeople walked onto the streets. Some were walking leisurely, while others were in a hurry. They all began their day's life.
To Xaloc who had spent the entirety of a month in the forest, the loudness of the town hurt his ears.
He sighed.
A middle-aged woman pushed a pancake cart past them and Victor's stomach growled loudly.
Victor looked at Xaloc and then chuckled awkwardly. It was normal, alright? Since yesterday afternoon, he had not had a single meal.
