On the night of the full moon, in the alleys of the city, Asher Frostblade, the assassin known as the "Legendary Assassin," is gravely wounded. He has fallen into an ambush that led him into a trap. Due to the loss of blood, Asher collapses to the ground and gazes at the full moon, which curiously has a unique color: a very intense crimson red. As he closes his eyes and reflects on his life and how cruel it was, he finally dies. However, an icy sensation envelops him as he dies, as if a bucket of cold water is falling on his face and his entire body. "Where am I?" Asher opens his eyes and is met with an unfamiliar face. After watching and thinking carefully, he realizes that he has been reincarnated into a new world full of magic and many other things. He promises himself that he will become strong enough to never again experience a death like the one in his previous life and to obtain the life he has always desired.

Chapter 49 new emotions (part 2)

—Asher Frostblade Perspective.

"So it was you."

My rage took over me. I didn't know why I got so angry, but what I was sure of is that this rage comes because the guy in front of me came close to killing my only friends, the ones I never had in my previous life. Maybe that's why I was so angry.

I felt uncontrollable, I was not in my normal state; anger took over me. I had right in front of my eyes a man with black hair and red eyes, wearing a completely black and light suit. He was so wounded on the ground without an arm, but that was the last thing I cared about.

I wanted to kill him...

"Wh-what... A fucking... Child talks like that."

The killer spoke, barely uttering any words at that instant. My gaze was always fixed on the guy, in fact, I wouldn't take my eyes off him and clenched my fists, but luckily I was a bit under control.

I needed information about his organization or group of assassins behind him. Only then, at some point, would I find them and kill them from the roots. All so that fewer people would die. I was always sorry for killing people in my previous life; that was why now I would kill the killers.

I will kill as many murderers as possible. Maybe that way, one day, I would get rid of all of them.

"Hey, are you okay?" Encrid spoke.

I ignored him and kept looking at the guy. Then I walked over and stared at him.

"What... are you looking at?" The guy spoke.

"Hahaha... Your face... When I almost killed those two.... You were..."

"Punch."

Then, with all my strength, I punched the guy's face. I got blood all over my hand. I looked at him again, but this time I had the same look I used to do in my previous life.

His eyes were wide open, an emotionless emptiness that was absolutely frightening and made anyone's heart pound. A murderous intent so strong that it made me want to die right then and there.

The guy saw all that in my face.

"You... are a murderer..."

Then I looked at him very seriously, with the same look, with a great intensity that generated fear, despair and death.

"Tum" "Tum" "Tum" "Tum.

The subject's heart began to beat. It was so loud that I heard it very clearly. His face was pale and gave a sense that he was feeling fear, a very deep fear that reached into his soul. A look that would haunt him for eternity. It was enough to make the subject be like this.

"Information... Tell me everything," then I spoke.

I looked at him with more intensity.

"Hahaha... I won't tell you."

Then the mana moved to my hand. I put my five fingers straight, like when I have my palm open and flat. Then the mana concentrated on my hand, almost my whole hand was filled with pure mana, which caused my hand to start overflowing with pure dark mana and then a dark color took over my hand.

The mana began to take the shape of a straight, sharp blade of pure dark mana.

"Stabbed."

Then I pushed my hand right into the subject's chest. I did it again and again.

"Stabbed" "Stabbed" "Stabbed" "Stabbed" "Stabbed" "Stabbed" "Stabbed.

Blood gushed and splattered everywhere, filling my face with a deep red color. At that moment I was lost in rage, I couldn't concentrate and then Encrid grabbed my shoulder.

"Swhos."

I then moved my hand towards Encrid right on his head. The movement of my hand was so fast, but fortunately, Encrid held my forearm.

"That's enough, control your emotional pulses."

Then I regained consciousness from my euphoric state. I was completely blinded by rage.

"I'm... I'm sorry for losing my concentration for a moment."

"No problem, you already killed him anyway. I guess I'll just have to steal his memories."

"Huh...is that possible?".

"That's right, just wait and I'll tell you everything this guy knows."

Then Encrid put his hand on the already dead assassin's head. After a few seconds, Encrid stared at me.

"It's... bigger than I thought."

"What do you mean?"

"It's a worldwide organization of assassins so strong, it's a very big problem," Encrid said in surprise.

"The organization is called 'Inverted Night'. The leader is unknown, the strongest assassins have positions from 'Seat 12' to 'Seat 1'. Seat 1 is the strongest assassin behind the leader of the organization."

Then I became silent.

A world-class organization, that means they are all over the world. Their finances are unknown, and they also have ranks within that organization.

In fact, I'm not surprised, but if it's an organization that's all over the world it will be difficult, even if I'm a very powerful magician. Even if I become strong, it is not possible to find all the whereabouts of every assassin and the assassins who have ranks.

"Inverted Night, that's the name of the organization."

"That's right, I didn't find memories of the twelve seats or the leader of the organization, but they are definitely very strong."

"Then it's bigger than it looks. They must have a lot of information and assassins all over the place; they may not even be tracked by mages of great power."

I sighed long as I looked at the body of the already dead assassin right in front of me.

To be honest, it's not something I can fight with at the moment. I gritted my teeth instantly.

I will spend five years at the academy. I'll need enough time to get to the top and then resolve as many threats as possible.

It's a long and time-consuming task, but... I'll really make it. It's strange, but I feel afraid of not achieving that goal. What if that organization becomes bigger and stronger, and if it takes an alliance with a continent? Their forces will be even bigger.

"Shit, shit," I cursed in my thoughts.

"If you want to get rid of all that... become a tenth circle mage, get allies from the ninth circle and finally get the seven weapons of calamity. Only then will you get rid of your enemies."

"No... I'll settle this any time, and I'll do it my way. I don't want people to die because they're behind me, so.... Ten years, maybe in ten years I'll accomplish my goals."

"Are you sure? You're likely to die, kid."

"I am," I answered truthfully.

I have some things to do first, like getting the ten knight achievements, entering the academy and learning more about this world, researching this world's past, finding the seven weapons of calamity, and getting rid of a world organization.

In fact, this is a great burden for anyone, but I don't care. I simply want to live peacefully in this new life and all that I have to do to live peacefully.

"It's time for us to go downstairs, three o'clock must be waiting for us."

Encrid raised his hand just above the dead assassin's body. Then dark mana emerged and covered the assassin's entire body. After a second, the mana dispersed and, surprisingly, the body and all traces of the assassin disappeared in an instant.

"I will teach you this ability, also the ability to extract memories from people. They will be very useful to you someday," then Encrid finished speaking and started walking towards the door.

Finally, I looked at the place where the assassin's body used to be. Then, finally, I turned my gaze and started walking down.

Of course, I now had one more weight on my shoulders, but that didn't matter to me. It is a necessary weight for my ultimate goal, and that is why this time, this new opportunity, this new life I will use it as I should have done with my previous life.

-Change of scene.

I finally made it to the first floor, then made my way to where Luna, Gloriana and Isabella were.

Of course, the blood that splashed on my assassin's face I wiped it off. In fact, Encrid wiped it off me with a strange cleansing spell. That led me to think that Encrid hates mess and dirt. Of course, not that it's a strange thing, but it seems to be a habit of Encrid's.

Lately I have been experiencing new emotions; among them are embarrassment and uncontrolled rage.

But the anger was somewhat normal to some extent. Most of all, the embarrassment was the strangest thing I've ever felt in my two lives. I had never experienced it before, but today I did. The worst thing was that two people looked at that instant when I was embarrassed. Of course, it was Luna and Gloriana.

"But... why did they say cute?"

It was clearly what I had heard at that moment. I was even surprised. Only my face changed, representing a new emotion in me for the first time. Is it cute to see someone with that emotion?

"I'm not sure, but..." Then I looked at Encrid.

"Hey, is it normal for someone to be called cute just because they're embarrassed?"

"..."

Encrid looked at me confused.

"I don't know anything about emotions."

I didn't think about that, in fact, Encrid is just like me, someone without emotions.

Understanding emotions is proving to be a headache. There are many emotions I would like to feel; someone who never felt an emotion in his life, of course he would like to feel an emotion for the first time.

That's my case, of course.

Then we finally got to where the three girls were.

"They're back already, it's all good, right?" Isabella spoke up.

"Yes, no problem, it's all taken care of, so we can get out of here," I said.

"That's a relief... I thought I was going to die..." Gloriana said.

"Don't worry, everything is all right now, right?" Luna spoke.

Then I nodded. Luna took a long sigh of relief. In fact, the atmosphere was already calm; people were no longer in fear and some people were even leaving the place.

I have a new goal, but for the moment I will put it aside. For the time being, I must focus on the ten knight achievements and become a noble in order to enter the Laosa academy.

"The day is not over yet, how about we go to a coffee shop? We couldn't finish our coffee," Isabella, as always, kept her smile.

Sometimes she made me feel like that smile was fake, but I guess it's not now.

***

-Change of scene-

In a very famous coffee shop in town.

The place, as usual, was five star. Of course, there was no lack of modern and luxurious decor and furniture, typical of a five star place.

After a few minutes, the coffee arrived. We sat away from the windows of the place.

"It's been a busy day," Isabella joked.

"Uh..." Encrid just looked at her in confusion.

Maybe she's weird.

"Just kidding," he said sarcastically.

At first glance, it seemed that everyone had already put the attempted murder behind them. After all, it was seven o'clock at night and the assassination attempt was before ten o'clock in the morning. It had already been quite a few hours. Of course, even so, Encrid, Isabella and I kept our guard up.

It is obvious that whoever sent that assassin, already realized that the mission failed and the assassin most likely died. That would be the thinking of any leader or boss who sent one of their members on a mission.

Obviously, killing Luna and Gloriana, for the Reverse Night organization, would be a great achievement, and for the continent it would be a great disaster to lose one of the heirs to the throne.

"At least all is well," I thought for a second as I took a long sigh. Then I looked down at the coffee in my hand, looked at it, and then took a sip.

"Sip."

"As always, very delicious and refreshing..." Then I opened my eyes a little.

"Why... are you looking at me like that?"

Seeing the three girls and Encrid, especially Isabella, who spoke up instantly.

"It looks like you're already relaxed.... You were really worried about losing your friends, weren't you?"

"..."

Then I shrugged my shoulders.

"Eh... This feeling..." At that instant the feeling of embarrassment came to me.

"..."

"..."

The four of them stared at me, until the three girls spoke while Encrid came close to letting out a laugh.

"See...? I told you he can be very cute."

"Y-you're right."

"That's true."

"Prf..." Encrid looked away just before he let out a sound.

I... I felt extremely strange and uncomfortable. Embarrassment is a difficult and very strange emotion to understand.

"Your... face is flushed," Isabella spoke to me.

"Uh... What does that have to do with it?" I was confused at Isabella's words.

"It means that... Prf..." Then she let out a small laugh. In fact, it wasn't just her, Encrid was close too.

"Looks like the idiot can laugh, huh?"

Then I heard Luna and Gloriana's words again.

"Cute..."

"Cute..."

And there we go again, the same words they said at the mall....
