In The Town

"Let's go" Andrew said as the duo started to tie the legs of the corpses with ropes made out of vines. They wanted to appear like ordinary mortals and struggle their way to the town gate.

They put pieces of the nearby dead tree bark underneath the corpses to make it look more believable.

Then, they grabbed the ropes and started dragging the corpses downhill.

Several minutes later they got on the paved road as the tree bark glided through the smooth stone.

Eventually, they arrived in front of the long queue as they saw guards check the identities of the people.

Some of the folks were already registered residents so the check-up was much laxer for them. Yet, it didn't nullify it entirely as they had to go through the device for shapeshifters.

The environment was relatively peaceful as everyone passed the check-up without a hitch.
