It was a sunny day, it was a man who was smoking on the bench. Brown long hair, unkempt since he couldn't afford a haircut with a worn out suit. He sits there in denial
"When have I gone wrong?"
He covers his hands with his face, he was ashamed. He stood up and walked back home.
"Another failed interview..."
He sighed and went back home, his home was a one room apartment, filled with beers and clothes before he collapsed on his bed sobbing. Another failure, just like he was..
He took a deep breath, he was tired before closing his eyes. After an hour he woke up and was blinded by the orange light outside
"What the fuck is that.."
He gets up and checks.. it was fire and.. was that a meteor?
He blinks and rubs his eyes thinking it's a joke but it's still there. Screaming was followed shortly after and blood flowed through the cracks and crevices of the ground.
It took him a while before he was shocked. He started to panic.
"What the fuck WHAT THE FUCK.."
He took a step back before tripping on his clothes and he hit his head. Then a screen appeared.
"The gods are mad..."
"What..? Mad?"
"You have ruined this natural sanctuary..."
"What natural sanctuary?"
"Life or death?"
"Huh??"
"Countdown : 10 seconds"
"Life or Death"
The panic creeps in. What's going on?? I just woke up and 30 seconds in I have to choose whether I live or die? In a panic he pressed life. It was natural instinct after all.
"Good choice :) Teleporting..."
A flash from the heavens shine on him.
"Huh..?"
His body starts to glow bright before getting fully absorbed by the light. In a blink of an eye, he was at a dome. A large dome filled with people. He started to panic. Then a screen appeared again
"Everyone has gathered.. Commencing Project Apocolypse"
People started to worry. Apocolypse? What's that. Words like that muttered across everybody. He looked around before the screen blinked and a new message appeared.
"Apocolypse successfull. First act, fight to the death. All you need is to lessen the population by half Number of contestants 52,909"
In a flash people look around in confusion.
"Okay and what are you going to do if we don't"
A contestant said mockily. Chatter filled the dome again, they whispered and talked before suddenly the screen blinked.
"You have angered the gods. Die."
Lightning gets struck down and explodes the body, organs fly everywhere and splatters at the walls of the dome. The dome was quiet...
One man started yelling. Then two. Then four. Then fourty. They all started punching and beating each other. He could just stand there. What. He looks to the left, blood and fighting. He looks to the right, blood and bodies. He starts panicking and starts to run.
"I really am a lost cause after all..."
