Experience and Arrival

__________ POV Narration__________

Yori had an uninterested look on his face as he looked at the hundreds of enemies swarming his laboratory.

Still, on the inside, he wasn't quite as calm.

He didn't have much combat training, to begin with, he was a researcher, he disliked the brutality that came with fights.

The only reason he could confidently stand his ground was that he had managed to copy every quirk that All for One had in possession.

Currently, the middle-aged scientist was technically stronger than All for One was when he had faced Beru. But his lack of experience still showed in the way he used his quirks.

The only thing that allowed him to be at least somewhat confident was the fact that 'All for One' gave the user a somewhat basic understanding of the quirks that they had stolen.

It was barebones at best, and the scientist didn't even know how to make combinations with the quirks he possessed. Well, he knew how to do so in theory, but he had no actual practice doing so.

Something else encouraged him, it told him that he could somehow fight back the aggressors.

From his point of view. The people attacking the research centre were just clones. He had seen a similar incident on the news a few months back, but he hadn't expected them to target his laboratory.

The villains were clearly after the Nomus, and, thankfully, they all seemed to be somewhat fragile in comparison to an actual human.

So, the researcher enlargened his arms, charging up his Air Cannon as he pointed his palms at the approaching villains.

Behind him, was a steel wall, he released the Air Cannon as soon as the clones got close to him, the compressed air blew away all of the villains that had tried to attack him.

But that trick wouldn't work against the more experienced fighters. From a distance, a few Dabi clones started sending streams of blue flames towards the scientist.

In a panic, Yori quickly directed a weaker air cannon at the floor, the blast hit the floor and raised a few metal tiles in front of him, but it wasn't anywhere near enough to stop the wall of flames.

The flames quickly melted through that makeshift defence, as well as the floor around them. And were quickly approaching Yori.

Using a flight quirk, the scientist quickly took off, he flew over the stream of flames and floated in mid-air for a bit as he charged yet another Air Cannon.

He gritted his teeth as he watched a few of the Nomus being carried off. He was about to release another Air Cannon in the crowd, but, from the side, dozens of razor-sharp teeth impaled his arm, directing it at a wall as the compressed air was released.

Thankfully, Yori couldn't feel the pain. But he still winced when seeing his injuries. He quickly flexed his hand and broke the teeth that were impaling it.

The wounds closed up quickly, but he could feel his stamina being drained. He looked at the crowd more warily this time.

He realised that his chances of winning against such numbers were extremely low. But that realisation wasn't a pleasant one for him.

Suddenly, a pillar of ice rose towards him, freezing him and any clones that had stood in its way.

Geten was finally done watching the fight, he entered the fray and looked at the scientist with a smile on his face.

"I'll prove it to you... I am the strongest!" His indiscriminate use of his own quirk had taken out quite a few of the clones around him. Thankfully, he wasn't exactly in the middle of them.

Still, the clones weren't pleased, they were just like their real counterparts after all.

"What the hell are you doing you, idiot?!" Asked a Dabi clone as it melted itself out of Geten's ice.

Geten, however, chose to ignore the clones shouting at him. They weren't important to him. All that was important was the opponent in front of him.

Yori was at first panicking when on the ice, but then he realised that he could still somewhat move around. He broke the ice using yet another Air Cannon.

By now, the Geten clones were also joining the fray. They had originally been helping with the transportation of Nomus.

But, now they had to join in, as their fighting spirit was stirred by Yori's struggle.

The scientist realised that the situation was looking bleaker and bleaker for him. Slowly, he prepared to try and combine a few quirks within his body, hoping to find something to get him out of the situation.

But he wasn't going to receive any lenience. Geten had walked on his own ice to reach him, then he rose a pillar of ice out of the side of the glacier he had created and crushed Yori into the wall.

Once again, Yori broke through the ice, this time, he just enhanced a regular punch with a few strength-enhancing quirks.

"I guess you're quite resilient, huh? Let's see how long you're going to hold this up..." Geten said with a smile underneath his hood.

Yori just grit his teeth once more, he looked at Geten, but he didn't even get to make a move before dozens of razor-sharp teeth nailed him into the wall.

He could see the Moonfish clones raising themselves in the air with their own teeth and attacking him at the same time.

For a second, a thought appeared in his mind. 'I'm pretty screwed aren't I?'

Geten prepared for another attack, this time preparing a spike out of his ice. Yori just closed his eyes and braced for impact.

Then he heard a loud crashing sound, then a few screams. He could feel some wind on his face.

He opened his eyes to see Beru's wings silently flapping in front of him. He saw the giant ice spike had hit Beru on the torso, only to crack completely in all places.

"And what the hell is even happening here?~" Asked Beru as he looked at his surroundings.

He had just warped himself in the research centre, only to run into this scene.

"It's this freak! Everyone get in position!" Shouted one of the villain clones when seeing Beru. They had somewhat rehearsed for a plan, just in case he appeared.

Instantly all of the teeth holding Yori up were cracked completely. He was going to fall on the ground, but Beru caught him by the collar and placed him down instead.

The scientist panted as he touched the ground.

"Damn... I regret not training beforehand..." He said as he looked at the surrounding villains. They seemed to have taken some sort of cohesive battle formation.

The ones that were more endurant were at the front, while the ranged fighters raised ice platforms to shoot from afar.

"They took the Nomus... Don't let them get away..." Beru's eyes widened as he heard what Yori told him. Then, his eyes narrowed, he looked at the hundreds of villains surrounding him with spite.

He warped Yori away to a hospital somewhere in Tokyo, then he turned around to see a large pillar of ice approaching him.

He didn't even bother responding to the attack. As soon as the glacier hit him, he just used 'Impact Recoil' and it shattered, much like the previous spike that he had blocked.

__________ POV Geten__________

This man... Why must he stand in front of me right now?

I was so close to proving myself... That scientist turned out to be much weaker than expected though... No, that's just because these clones keep interfering with my fight.

I guess this works too though. I'll pay him back for defeating my clones. I'll show him that my Meta Ability is second to none.

__________ POV Beru__________

Really? What the hell is even this?

Why does everyone suddenly care about the Nomus?

Is this really so important that they'd orchestrate this large an attack? I mean, I guess they are basically stronger than most regular quirk users.

But if being able to order them was so simple then Yori would've just commanded them to fight the clones. I guess the one that orchestrated the attack has a way to control them? I can't be sure...

I should take out the villains in this building for now. I can still sense survivors inside it. If there were casualties even after I arrived at the scene that would be quite regretful...

"So...~ How do you dogs want to die?~" He asked while looking at the clones.

None of them made the first move. Unfortunately for them, Beru didn't have any will to stop and chat with them.

He spread his hands, and flames came out of both of them. He was like a large flamethrower. Beru burned through the vanguard clones quite quickly, he watched as they screamed and melted like butter.

But his flames were stopped, a row of Geten clones had built proper defences against his flames, and he couldn't quite raise the temperature too much, not with the survivors still in the building somewhere.

He just sighed as a few dozen elongated teeth came in his direction from above, the Moonfish clones were still in raising themselves. And, accompanying them, a few Geten clones tried to encase him from the side, while Dabi clones attacked him with fire from the other.

He just stomped on the ground, the pressure created by his stomp broke the ice and the teeth approaching him.

It also briefly dispersed the flames, just enough time for Beru to jump in the air and send a punch towards the Moonfish clones.

That single punch crushed the clones into the wall, breaking all of their teeth and turning them into much.

A lot of the clones were also pushed back by the attack.

Then, as Beru landed, dozens of clones swarmed him, a few seemed to have blades sticking out of their body, the others seemed to be strength quirks.

Beru just sighed. Tails sprouted out of his body in every direction. They pierced the surrounding clones and extended all across the room.

Many clones tried to dodge around and avoid them, but they weren't able to do so forever, the tails followed them, and more tails grew out of the already existing tails.

It was like a tree growing more branches. Most of the clones in that room were taken out un that way.

Beru slowly pulled all of his tails back, they seemed to be absorbed back into his body as he looked around. There were countless puddles of viscous liquid on the ground.

The clones had mostly been killed.

But one of them still walked towards him, confidently.

"I must say... It was quite interesting to see you dispatch so many clones... Let's see how you fare against a real opponent though!" The one speaking was obviously Geten.

Beru just rolled his eyes and prepared for the fight.

'Why do things always have to end with fights?' That was the only thought in his mind.
