概要

NOTICE [ SEND 1 CASTLE, I'LL SEND 20 CHAPTERS] __ What is a villain? Is anyone born a villain? The answer is — no. A villain is made by their circumstances. Society is the one that creates villains. It’s pretty straightforward. These concepts are familiar to many, but does anyone care? No one does. As long as someone is benefiting from something or someone, it doesn’t matter to them what harm or anguish they are causing others. But then again, it doesn’t matter. Everyone perceives things from their own standpoint, believing themselves to be right and judging others accordingly. Everything is a matter of perspective. No one is inherently evil or angelic. We are the ones who decide what’s wrong and what’s right. This story explores that mindset. He is the one who is forced to become a villain in everyone’s eyes—a villain who, from his own perspective, isn’t evil. A villain who doesn’t care about others’ perspectives. This is a villain’s point of view. ~~~~~~~~~ DISCLAIMERS-- This story follows the trend Villain's are not born but made—making the character development and story where there will be a motivation given to MC for his actions. I want to deal with emotional state of MC and give him a valid reason to be a villain, it's slow paced but immersive. You can try first chapter and based on that you would become aware about what writing style the whole first Volume will follow. Read now

Chapter 1Prologue

When Eren was young, he fell from a wagon and suffered a serious head injury.

He was just starting to run around when he was less than three years old. Because of the accident, not only was he unable to wake up for a while, but even after he woke up, he just spent the days in a daze.

The most important thing was that as he grew up after the accident, he could barely feel any emotions.

When you hit your head, it's impossible to know whether you hit a nerve in your brain.

A child with curly brown hair and no emotions.

Is that why? People were often surprised when they suddenly encountered Eren.

Not only did he have no presence, but there was a great sense of disconnect from his emotionless actions. Maybe he would have been seen as a monster.

Fortunately, he had no physical problems, but even until he was thirteen, he often spent time alone, staring into space with empty eyes.

No matter what happened, there was no change in his emotions.

Due to the nature of his parents' jobs, it was difficult for him to make friends. His parents led a small mercenary company.

They were mainly responsible for wandering around the continent and protecting merchants, but they could not leave Eren alone, so they always took him with them.

Compared to people of the same age, he was smaller, less talkative, and less active. As parents, they couldn't help but be worried.

However, there was also a positive aspect: he was leading a busy life due to the attention he received from the mercenaries. Why did mercenaries like a child who kept an expressionless face all day?

The reason was because of his special abilities.

"Eren! About a week ago. Do you remember where I left the saw 'That thing' I used while camping? I'm sure it was put on a wagon with a toolbox… but I can't see it at all. The captain is about to scold me. Please save me."

As mercenary member Zane waved his palm, Eren spoke in a dry tone.

"You packed it late and put it on the side of the food wagon."

"Ah! That's right! Thank you, Eren!"

Zane bowed his head and quickly disappeared.

Once Eren saw something, he never forgot it, whether it was a moment ago or several years had passed. So he sometimes experienced absurd things. One of them was acting as a witness.

Scotts, a man with a bald head and rugged muscles, approached Eren with his close friend Glion in tow.

"Eren! I'm going to lend Glion 2,000 shillings, Could you Please stand as a witness."

"Okay."

2,000 shillings was equivalent to one month's salary as a mercenary. Eren answered in a bland tone.

"Now, it's 2,000 Glion shillings. When you pay, be sure to pay 2,200 shillings in front of Eren. If Eren doesn't remember, its means you didn't pay it back. If you lie and say you paid it back sloppily, you'll die! You know Eren has an amazing memory, right?"

"I know, I know! Thank you so much. I will definitely pay you back within a month."

The mercenaries who trusted Eren's memory always lent and received everything, including money, in front of him.

"Eren, have you eaten?" the mercenary asked after completing the transaction.

Eren didn't answer and just stared somewhere with a blank expression. The two mercenaries did not give up and asked persistently.

"There's a bonfire on the other side and they're grilling meat. Do you want to come and eat?"

"Can you Bring it to me?"

"Okay, I'll bring it to you."

The two exchanged words with each other, made a decision among themselves, and left. Usually, conversations with Eren went like this. When the two people disappeared, Eren let out a small sigh and buried himself in the pile of luggage on top of the carriage.

It's starting again.

He had another ability that he did not tell others about. Sometimes his five senses became extremely sensitive. In fact, he knew they were grilling meat on a bonfire without them saying anything.

The sound and smell of meat being grilled filled Eren's mind.

At times like this, he always stared into space and deliberately blurred his mind.

GlaringError here! As I have already mentioned in my author review I am restating it here since I am getting tons of comments about it, that I am more of a reader myself than a writer, I made this novel in an attempt to capture my fantasy world residing in my mind into words.. Writing is new for me.. The premise of my novel is inspired by many great works that I have loved over the years. And some elements I have in my novel that are slightly similar to them but it's just the skeleton of it, the real meat of the plot is entirely my own cooking. Some of the influence that is more noticeable is from The Runesmith (By Kuropon), The King's Avatar (By Butterfly Blue) and Shadow Slave (By Guiltythree). I have immense respect for these legends and I can only hope to follow in their footsteps. To all those who comment just by judging the name, at least give it a chance before letting your opinions be known. Thank you.

Disclaimer: I'd received a few complaints from some readers that my MC is not a real villain, and I have to agree; if you're looking for some complete psycho MC who burns random farmer villages down just for fun then don't read. The MC is a ruthless man who does evil things from time to time, but only to his enemies or those he considers to be true scum. He gains no joy from tormenting strangers. Also don't read if you want a story about buying s*x slaves and r*ping them, that doesn't happen in this novel. He will treat the women he wants to be with as if they were normal people, whether they're slaves or not.
