ALPHA AND THE ROYALS

Alpha walked and hopped in the market place, smiling at the children placing ball. Her old butler followed closely protecting the lady “Rodrick!” Alpha yelled making the butler quicken his steps towards her “yes, lady Alpha. How may I be of assistant?” he asked looking down at the fifteen-year-old.

“Would brother like these? I’ve noticed he doesn’t have anything colourful in his abyss” She asked twirling the yellow shirt in front of the tired butler who smiles “I think that he would love it, your ladyship” he stated and immediately the trader packed the shirt for them.

Alpha smiled as she saw some sweets been sold by an old weird looking lady a few stands away “Rodrick, would you buy me some sweets as I use the washroom?” She asked as her bladder was near to explode, Rodrick frowned as he knew very well that his master would not be pleased if the lady had sweets, as he opened his mouth to protest, the young lady had around rounded the corner to the public washrooms.

“Did you steal that dress you are wearing, Peasant?” a girl asked as her and her friends eyed Alpha who walked out from the washroom, Alpha frowned as she looked at the dress her sister sent to her for her birthday a month ago “I beg your pardon” Alpha said looking at the girl who she identified as Lady Hilary, a powerful mage with the ability to control water.

Lady Hilary and her friends gawked at the beautiful girl in front of them “I want that dress” Lady Hilary stated trying to show dormancy to her friends who stared at her and smiled “I am sorry, but I think you’ve got the wrong person” Alpha said feeling frightened as they took out their spell books “no, you’ve got Lady Hilary’s dress” a girl said.

Rodrick stood by the washrooms holding a packet of the lady’s treats and the gift for the master when a group of young girls walked out and one was wearing a very familiar dress similar to the master’s sister “Excuse me, may I know where you bought such a lovely dress?” Rodrick inquired making the girls face him with smiles “its lovely isn’t it? I just got it, sir” Lady Hilary said and walked away.

Sitting in the corner of the washroom in her underwear, Alpha cried silently from been weak and ambushed by girls her age. Why wasn’t she born with magic? Why couldn’t she just be normal? She was good, wasn’t she? She has been the bigger person during fights and insults thrown her way, so why couldn’t the gods bless her as well?

Fear and worry suck in the old butler’s stomach as he checked his pocket watch, and surely the Lady has been in the washroom for an hour. Mastering the courage to enter the Ladies’ washroom, Rodrick entered the lovely smelling pink washroom compared to the ones the gentlemen have in the opposite direction “Lady Alpha, are you alright?” He called out still fearing to go inside by standing in the door way.

Alpha sniffs as she hears her butler’s voice and gets up “Am alright” she lied shivering at the chill in the room “We ought to get going, or your brother might get worried” Rodrick stated thinking about how his master might have a search party on the way. “Would you mind lending me your coat, Rodrick?” Alpha asked walking towards the door, Rodrick frowned but nevertheless removed the oversized coat and the Lady grabbed it without fully opening the door.

Alpha hugged the coat closer to her famine body and stepped out of the washroom “oh my dear! What happened to your dress, my Lady?” Rodrick asked anger and worry lacing of his tone as he took in the state his Lady was in; her green hair that was tied in a neat bun has fallen roughly down her back, her green eyes were blood shot red, and she was drenched in water. “I don’t want to talk about, can we please just go home?” Alpha asked her voice cracking at the end and tears threatening to escape once more, he wanted to know who did this but refrained himself as he saw the lady on the verge of crying “Of-of course, your highness”.
