Jack was born into a world where almost everyone had a unique superpower. From the moment he entered the world, he knew that he was different. He was born powerless, and that made him an outcast in the society he was born into. Growing up, Jack found it tough to fit in with the people around him, who could control fire, fly, or turn invisible at will. No one gave him a second thought, and he was always the odd one out.

As a child, Jack would often attempt to use his powers, only to fail every time. He knew that something was missing within him, and it made him feel like he was not supposed to belong in this world. The other children at school would bully him and make fun of him, calling him a freak and a nobody. With time, Jack began to retreat into himself, keeping to himself, and keeping his head down. Life was hard, and he saw no way out of his rut.

One day, during recess at school, Jack went to sit below a tree in the playground, hoping to be out of sight and out of mind. There he sat, reading a book, when he overheard some of the other children saying terrible things about him. They said that he was hopeless and would never amount to anything. This was the last straw for Jack. He knew that he needed a change, and he needed it fast, or he would never get out of this never-ending cycle of abuse and rejection.

That was when something incredible happened. As Jack sat alone under the tree, he felt a strange stirring within him. He felt like the air around him was pulsing with energy, his heart racing with excitement and fear. This was it; something was happening. It felt like electricity coursing through his veins as he tried to focus on this unknown force. Suddenly, he felt something being absorbed from the atmosphere; something that he could manipulate and draw upon. This was his chance, and he wasn't going to let it go. Jack knew that he had found his power, the power of being able to absorb and shift the abilities of others.
