The Imbalance

My mother woke up to the news of her husband, my father. Nathan stopped by.

She moved in to live with my father at a tender age, living in her own fantasy. Everything worked out perfectly until my father demise.

It was my father's lawyer who woke her in the middle of the night when my father's plane went down. Before then my father instructed his lawyer on what he'd do while he is gone, even after so many persuasions and disagreement, his lawyer finally agreed to his consent.

My mother was afraid, she wanted to collapse because her world has crumbled right before her. It was hard to believe that Andrew my father is gone.

Nathan, my father's lawyer came in early as possible to pick my mum so there wouldn't be pictures of them being captured. She lived in the palace.

My mother had everything she has always wanted; clothes, shoes, bags, a trip to different countries because she was married to an influential and a wealthy man. But there was an issue, Blair and Raymond my father's siblings hated my mother. They are the only family he had. He took care of them out of some mess, but he detested them.

They believed my mother changed the heart of their brother towards them since she got married to him. And it has always been war between them.

My father knew once he dies, they'd find lawyers to work on a contingency basis to lay hold on all his properties.

Nathan read the will out to my mother and told her she had no house for herself except a farm he left for her in Lagos.

My mother was dumbstruck, she knew the end of her luxurious life has ended and there was nothing she could do about it.

She was pushed out of the place at five-thirty on a cold spring morning, to go get all she'd need for her new farmhouse.

Everything seemed so unreal to her; and she couldn't believe this was happening.
