A Reincarnated Nara with a Level System, Ten Shadows & Shadow Monarch

Kai, a 14 year old boy who lives in -------, --------. He is handsome and has a silent and stoic personality, often described as cool and sexy by girls, but he is really calculative and his action are mostly dictated by the conclusion he gets through logical analogies which often gets him called scary and creepy.

He lives with his mother and a younger brother in a big house left behind by his late father who unfortunately passed away in a car accident when Kai was merely 8 years old.

Kai is a academical and athletic genius by all means, topping his class in every subject, winning every football competition from district to state and on his way to national after destroying his opposition in the state finals 9-0 scoring a double hat-trick.

Kai was stoic and silent most of the times, described as a "Silent Eagle" by his mother.

Kai only became fun around his friends, their friend group was named "The Boys" By his friends which was too "Simplistic & Unnecessary" According to our lovely protagonist.

Their often offensive and chaotic shenanigans was what often lent them in detention center and got them scolded by his mom.

Our protagonist was crossing the road as of now, walking at a normal pace.

Being suddenly hit by a speeding truck, our protagonist was in a shocked state as he slowly bled out.

Accepting his impending death, he closed his eyes, his last thoughts were,

'You can have my share of the inheritance. Lil Bro.'

As he finished his line of thought, darkness enveloped his vision.

He woke up only to close his eyes again as bright light pierced his vision, slowly opening his eyes again, Kai moved his head around barely being capable of doing so because his movement was restricted.

- Kai POV -

I looked at my hands and found that they were the size of a infant. Looking around, I saw that i am in a hospital judging by the medical equipment lying around.

After inspecting my surroundings and the current state of my body, I concluded that i have died and have been reborn, now a infant baby in a hospital, god knows where.

I eavesdropped on the conversation a nurse nearby was having with a man dressed in weird armor and a mask, they talked about shinobi, and how these children present here in this room were children from the nara clan who were orphaned during the nine tails.

Judging by this, he was probably reborn in the world of Naruto, which he didn't know everything about, he had only ever seen the OG Naruto and knew some plot points of shippuden.

I was now a member of the Nara clan, the clan from which Shikamaru comes from.

Logically speaking, i am fucked up.

Apparently I am a orphan in a world where murder and killing is something that is quite normal, which was logical since they had to survive and to assert their dominance.

Time Skip : 1 Month

I crawled over to a wall and sat myself down leaning against.

According to the observations I made this past month, I am now 3 months old.

The nine-tails attacked happened one month ago when I woke up, it was also when my parents died and i was orphaned and then was taken in to the Nara orphanage exclusive to the clan members of the Nara clan as both my parents were Nara clan members.

This means that i am 2 months older than the MC, Naruto.

Leaving the main character aside as a problem I'll deal with later, I learned that the "system" gives me quest everyday, each depending on my current capabilities and kept getting harder each day.

The rewards for completing these quests was "EXP". It was used to help make me ans my abilities stronger as well as my shikigamis.

I knew what the Ten Shadows Shikigamis were, I was up-to-date with the jujutsu kaisen manga until I died and knew all the ten shikigamis.

The first quest is received was to say a cohesive word, which would normally be easy to me but since I was in the body of a underdeveloped infant it was hard but I managed to do it.

Now you may ask what my first words were, well they were, "Excellent."

The caretaker was shocked to her bones upon hearing me say that and had fainted.

After she woke up, she checked me and then proceeded with talking to other caretakers and everyone nearby and informing them about how a 2 month old like me had already spoken his first words and the word was strangely "Excellent". Nonetheless, everyone started to think of me as a child prodigy and even more after I started crawling and almost managed to start walking.

The reward for the quest was a measly 5 EXP.

Speaking of EXP, I now noticed that the quest had been the same for the last 10 days. Probably because It was my limit, which, by the way, was walking 5 steps and crawling around the room 5 times which was very exhausting for his new body and the room was very big.

The reward I get is 15 EXP points for the quest.

"System." I called out in my wind.

And yeah, I tried to summon the divine dogs but immediately passed out, likely because my chakra coils weren't developed enough to channel chakra and most probably because I didn't have enough chakra.

Putting that aside, i quickly invested all the exp into my level.

Immediately I felt a new strength rushing through my body, well it couldn't make much difference since i was just two months old. But I was definitely stronger and my stamina definitely increased.

I also felt like some energy inside me grew rapidly but I ignored it.

Well. Time to explore my surroundings to get a more expansive view on the world around me other than this orphanage.

I turned around and looked around the room to see if the caretaker was around. Upon confirming she was not here, I crawled my way to the semi-open door of the room and pushed it open exiting the room and was a greeted by a small straight hallway with four rooms.

I crawled over to the first room and there was a sign on the door, it read, "Emily and Suziko."

That was the name of two of our caretakers.

Moving onto the next door, the sign read, "Sumi and Kirin." Another two of our caretakers.

The third door was half open and the sign on it read, "Kitchen."

I glanced inside to find what you would normally find inside a kitchen in a big orphanage, a big kitchen filled with utensils and cooking neccesities.

The fourth door was closed and the sign on it read, "Storage"

It was probably where all the neccesities and ration was kept, I remember Emily putting away a deer toy there another kid had after he beat up another kid with it.

Now, you maybe wondering, how can I read Japanese?

Well i dont fucking know myself.

Another thing about Emily, was that she was a kunoichi before she retired during the third ninja war and became a caretaker, a chunin specifically.

I quickly crawled towards the exit door which was thankfully a sliding door so I could open it with some effort.

I crawled over to the door and opened it.

What greeted my eyes was a beautiful and green garden, there were miny shinobi training dummies in the left of the garden and some kunai and shuriken aiming targets.

The garden was huge and I couldn't see the entire garden from here so I started crawling around the orphanage taking in the sight and remembering every detail.

Once I reached the back of the orphanage, I saw Suziko teaching the older kids how to write, so that's where they went.

I crawled back to the entrance door before they could notice me.

Reaching the entrance door, I looked at the exit gate in front of the entrance, beyond the gate was a group of houses in a straight line, all having the almost same design, likely the Nara clan compound.

Beyond the houses was a big red building which was visibile from this far and behind it was a mountain with four faces carved into it.

Having ended up my little expedition, I went inside the orphanage and started to walk towards when I heard something near the kitchen so I decided to eavesdrop on them.

"That kid Kai is a prodigy! He can already speak and almost form cohesive sentences!"

Partly because I refrained from speaking like a fully grown human but continue.

"Yeah! He is tall and big for a three month old! Like other kids of around same age and even more look small beside him. He is already crawling fast and has so much stamina and can almost walk! He is definitely going to be a strong ninja one day!" Said the voice which he recognized as Sumi

"Yeah. I heard the clan elders are interested in his talents, he is one of the most promising Naras ever if not the most. Even the clan head is interested in him!" Said the voice which he recognized as Kirin.
