Noble Family Selection(Part2)

"Next, Bhang family" Bai hall leader Han Ako called for the next family. 

This was also a group of five with three men and two women. They walked forward and introduced themselves. 

The same measures were taken for the Bhang family as well. After being asked a few questions, they also signed a pact just like the Gir family. After signing a pact, they went into the same room that was behind the counter. 

"Last, Wei family." Han Ako finally called for the Wei family. 

Yang Zhai and the others moved forward. 

"First, please place your hands on this stone." Han Ako said. 

The stone that she was talking about was called the Glimpse of Power. This stone had the ability to detect the accurate cultivation rank of a cultivator's aperture and then give out rays. The rank of the rays would depend on the cultivator's essence water. 

If the essence water of the cultivator was of rank 4, then the strength and the aura of the rays would also be of rank 4.

The rays exited by the stone would not be strong or more in amount. They would only be a few wisps, this was why it was called the Glimpse of Power. 

This stone was not a treasure or ka. It was a natural material found in mountains filled with spiritual energy. This was the reason it was not so powerful or useful apart from detecting the strength of a cultivator. In fact, this type of stone would break after detecting the rank of only a single cultivator. A rank 3 cultivator possesses a yellow sun, whereas a rank 4 cultivator possesses a black sun. 

"First, Wei Li, please come forward and place your hand on the stone." Han Ako asked Wei Li to place his hand on the Glimpse of Power. 

Wei Li nodded and came forward. He placed his hands on the stone. This stone was only six inches long. Wei Li grabbed the stone with both of his hands. 

When he did this, the stone began to vibrate and began to develop cracks on it. After a few seconds, it released wisps from the cracks, and it broke. 

"Wei Li, rank 3 peak stage. Next, Bin Wei." The servant announced the rank, after which Han Ako called for Wei Li's wife. 

Bin Wei did the same and grabbed a new stone. This stone also broke after releasing a few wisps. 

"Bin Wei, rank 3 peak stage as well. Next, Hyun Hae." 

Hyun Hae came forward and did the same. The stone broke right when it released the wisps.

"Hyun Hae, rank 3 p…eak st…age." The servant was shocked when he announced the rank of Hyun Hae. Hyun Hae was not even a grown-up and had such a high cultivation rank. 

Not just the servant, even Han Ako was shocked. She forgot to call the next person for a while.

"Hmm, next, Lie Yi." After a while, she managed to calm herself and called Lie Yi for the rank measurement. 

Lie Yi came forward and placed his hands on the rock. 

"Lie Yi, rank 2 peak stage." 

Lie Yi had managed to surprisingly reach the rank 2 peak stage. This was something nobody expected. Reaching the rank 2 peak stage without any physique was impressive. However, it was not so shocking. First, many people could achieve this using various kinds of methods. Secondly, it was not as shocking as Hyun Hae's cultivation. 

"Next, Yang Zhai." Han Ako called for Yang Zhai this time. 

However, Yang Zhai did not come forward. 

"Yang Zhai, come forward." Han Ako called again. 

However, the result was the same, Yang Zhai did not come forward. 

"What happened, Yang Zhai, why are you not coming forward?" Wei Li looked back at Yang Zhai and asked. 

"Because I don't want to become a noble." 

This reply shocked Wei Li and the others. 

"What are you saying, Yang Zhai, have you gone mad?" Wei Li came to Yang Zhai and grabbed his arms before asking. 

"No, I am completely sane," Yang Zhai said, 

"May I ask the reason for your decision?" Second Elder Shu Ti asked. 

"Elder, it's because I have no interest in becoming a noble family." 

"And why's that?" 

"Elder, I once heard uncle Wei talking to aunt Wei that they were only using me to become a noble family. After becoming a noble family, they will treat me like a dog, this is what he said to the aunt. So, I have decided that I will not become a noble, or help them become one." Yang Zhai replied without hesitation. 

When others heard this, they became silent. Yang Zhai had made them silent. It might seem like the selection was simple, but it was not. 

The reason Yang Zhai did not want to become a noble was not that he wanted to take revenge on his uncle and aunt, no, not at all. He did not want to become a noble because of two reasons. First I will have to touch the stone, Glimpse of Power. This stone is not so ordinary. If I touch the stone, my cultivation would be revealed.
