Chapter 21
A bouquet of roses, chocolate, and a letter in Hillary's table are what I've seen as soon as I went inside our classroom. I thought it was from Lucas, but no, it's from Andrei.
The world has now turned upside down. Tsk.
"I no longer can stand this," Driana said, staring at Andrei, who has been waiting for Hillary.
"So, ano nang gagawin mo ngayon, move on?" asked Alice, her best friend. I can really hear them since they're just at my back.
"If Hillary will like him, too, then, I need to move on," she replied.
"Paano 'pag hindi? Alam mo na naman na nag-umpisa sila sa hindi magandang sitwasyon and Hillary hates that guy so much."
"Then, I'll take a risk."
And, I think Driana's being mature enough this time. If Hillary will like Andrei, then she'll sacrifice, if not, then she'll fight for her feelings. Love is indeed sacrificing, but it is also worth fighting for. Well, it always depends on the situation. Same as our situation this time. I and Hillary are sacrificing our happiness for the happiness of others.
"Hey, Twin," Sun said as he sat on his chair, he's with Veia, but she just went on her seat, hindi man lang ako binati. Tsk, she's mad, indeed. "Heard the news?" he asked.
With confusion, I said, "news?"
"Yup, that-oh, kanino galing 'yang stuff na 'yan?" he's pertaining the stuff on Hillary's table.
"Kay Andrei," I replied. "Ironic, right?"
"Sobra! But, I thought galing kay, Lucas."
Lucas? Paano niya nasabi 'yon? Don't tell me kalat na sa school na nag-usap sila kahapon? Tss, the news really spread so fast.
"They're together at the moment kaya akala ko galing sa kanya," he uttered again, and swear I was so damn surprised. "Mapanindigan lang sana ni Lucas 'yong sinabi niya kanina kun'di uuwi siyang basag ang mukha," he said, so serious.
And, sh*t, I'm getting so confused about what's going on. "Could you please explain it, even more, Sun," I said.
"Si Lucas kasi brinoadcast kanina that he's just gonna like only one girl, and that's Hillary-"
"What?!" I knew it, but damn, nagulat pa rin ako.
"Calm down, boto pa rin ako sa'yo, Sky, but it all depends on Hillary kung sino ang pipiliin niya sa inyong dalawa."
"What the hell, Sun? Could you stop that sh*t?"
"Alright! Init ng ulo, eh, bilis mag selos-oh, joke lang, ha."
Tss, muntik ko na siyang mabatukan, eh.
"But seriously, Twin, sinabi talaga 'yon ni Lucas. Sincere naman kaya hindi na'ko nakisawsaw pa kanina."
Sincere? Fudge!
"Ang hirap niyang paniwalaan, Sun, we must not let that man comes close to Hillary," I said.
Sun tap my back and mutters, "Hillary's enjoying his company, Sky, as long as our friend is happy, let's not interfere."
Enjoying? Paano nangyari 'yon?
"But, Sun, I really am not fine with that guy."
"Ako rin, but for the meantime, hayaan muna natin sila. I know you care for Hillary, Sky, he's a special friend for you, if you want to protect her from Lucas, then go on, but do not cross your boundary."
"I know."
But, damn! It still bothers me to hell! She finds Lucas annoying, but now she's enjoying his company? Just...wow, damn real quick.
"Magkasama nga sila?"
"Sh*t, my Lucas Martin, ang sakit!"
"Hillary's becoming noticeable."
"She's so lucky to have a bonding moment with Lucas around the campus!"
And, that's my classmates talking about them, of course, you already knew who I am referring to. Andito na kasi si Hillary at hinatid siya ni Lucas. Tss.
Our eyes met and he just smirks at me. You never failed to impress me, Lucas. Slow claps for you, Dude, you're very consistent in making a game whenever you lose over me. Tsk, tsk. Let's see if you'll be successful in your plan this time.
Hillary went to her chair and wasn't surprised seeing those stuff in her table. She looked at Andrei and smiled-yes, she did!
When our teacher came and started discussing, I already tried my all best not to think about Hillary's weird doings. Tsk!

It's already lunch break and I'm here at the practice area. Hindi ako sumabay kina Sky na mag lunch. Veia has been ignoring me because she knew that my real Dad died already and she doesn't know it, unlike Hillary. Hindi ko naman kasi alam na masyadong tsismoso 'yong kakambal ko at sinabi niyang I told that matter to Hillary, tsk! I'll just talk to her when she's fine already. Kapag kinausap ko siya ngayon I'm pretty sure 'di 'yon magsasalita. That's Veia when she gets mad and the issue is still fresh in her mind.
I was about to release an arrow when someone speaks, "at last I found you."
With knitted brows, I looked at her, "what are you doing here?" I asked.
She shrugged and sat in the bench, "just want to be with you," she replied, and believe me that gives me goosebumps! To hell was that, Sky?! "Being with you seems so calm and peaceful," she added, and sh*t, another goosebump!
I find no words to utter. I just...stared at her. I am happy to see this kind of Hillary, but I am feeling nervous now. Nervous that I might f-
I stopped my crazy thought when she asked, "aren't you going to ask about me and Lucas?"
"Ha?" tss, that surprised me. Siya pa talaga 'yong nag open up.
"Wala lang, just wanna know if you care," she replied with a smile.
Tss. I always do. "I noticed about your sudden closeness and it bothers me, honestly," I muttered.
"Everyone is bothered, I guess. Sobrang bilis naman kasi ng pangyayari," she said. I just nodded and continued releasing an arrow. "I have thought of two possible ending of my doing, Sky. The first one is for me and the second one is for others," she added.
Tsk. Why does Hillary's so fond of making me feel confused and curious?
