Now I'm a little motivated

The monster charged at him with a sickle in hand. To humans, this would be a terrifying sight but to Dante it felt insulting. Like he was mad that this monster actually thought it could kill him.

'Has to be my demon side. I am half demon after all. Now that I think about it, I've been way more excited and curious about things than I used to be.' Dante thought as the monster was just a couple feet away from him.

[System cannot be opened during combat. Only the inventory will work.]

Dante glanced at the panel but quickly focused his attention to the monster in front of him. Just when it pulled back its weapon ready to strike him. He began firing. His bullets flew way faster than ordinary bullets did and the power behind it was great.

The monster had bullets go through its body. Green blood spilled as it roared in defiance only to stumble and fall. Looking back, it saw its legs were no more.

"Really? I expected more from this fight. Guess these guns are that overpowered." Dante said as he walked towards the monster who still didn't give up. It slashed its claws at him to which he fired two shots cutting off its arm.

Pulling back his fist, he slammed it on the monster shattering its mask and skull.

"Hm? That's weird. I should be stronger. I'm the son of a Monarch so I should at least be able to kill this monster in one attack. It isn't even that strong." He truly was bewildered.

Monarchs are practically Gods in the eyes of humans and he was the son of one. Theoretically, he would at least inherit at least a portion of their power.

Then an idea came to him. "I get it. Its the compatibility. Its really low so I guess it isn't as good as its supposed to be. But how do I even get it higher. Damn this system really isn't helping me by much. Not even an A.I to be here for me."

*Ggrrrr.*

He heard a soft growling and saw the monster still looking at him with hateful eyes.

"Sorry about that. I'll kill you now." Dante shot it with his gun killing it.

When he did, a new window popped up in front of his eyes.

Reading the text, he smiled seeing this. "Looks like I was right. No missions are going to be given to me. All I need to do is accomplish things that deserve to be called an achievement."

"Motivation? Without even being able to summon a plastic chair. That should be added."

Dante looked oddly at the skill but then his behavior changed. His posture also suddenly changed. Before he stood up like a tired man but now his posture was straight. His confused face was changed with a determined one.

Dante clenched his fist. "I can't rely on this system forever. It isn't even helping me that much as everything I do will be from accomplishments.

Although I don't know everything about this world, I do know that there are powerful beings that wield magic. Monarchs and Rulers are beings that I'd have to avoid for now. Pretty sure they can just breath and I'd instantly die."

Knowing how to use his strength now, he closed his eyes and focused on his senses and found multiple moving targets approaching.

Dante opened his eyes as he turned to the direction they were coming. "15? No 18 targets. But from what I can tell, a lot of them are smaller than the one I faced. Monsters do have hierarchy after all so it isn't that weird. They must've heard the gunshots and came here."

They ran out of the trees and rushed at him. They ranged from ones about 5ft to those that were over 10.

Dante quickly opened fire at them. Surprisingly, some of them managed to dodge them or block them with their weapons and most of the ones that did were the little guys. But the ones that didn't were quickly killed off as he shot them in the head.

'10 down. 8 to go.' Dante thought.

They quickly neared him as they attacked him with manner of weapons. Dante with his instincts dodged them as he fired. With them so close, it was impossible to dodge nor block the bullets.

His guns were semi-automatic making him shoot much faster as he killed most of them.

Suddenly, two appeared next to him and stabbed him with their weapons. "ARgh!!" Dante screamed out in pain. They pushed their weapons deeper making it more painful.

The little shitheads smirked as their opponent was dying. But just as they reveled in their victory, Dante pushed his gun inside their mouths. "Die." Pulling the trigger, their heads were blown off as they let go of their weapons.

Pulling out the weapons from his body, he flinched in pain. "Damn is this what 'he' felt on a daily basis. It hurts so much more than I expected."

Turning around, he saw one left looking at him with fear. It was the biggest one.

"Only one huh. You'll be my next achievement." The guns in his hands disappeared as he put up his fighting stance.

The monster who saw this felt insulted as it roared at him making the air vibrate. Dante ignored this as he closed in on the monster.

It saw this and swung its axe down but Dante dodged it. Using the axe as a platform, he jumped up and uppercut the monster making it spill green blood.

But Dante wasn't finished as he grabbed its mask and pulled it to the ground where it was met with a knee to the face. Its mask now destroyed revealed a disoriented monster and a disfigured face.

The monster though wasn't backing down as it swung its axe sideways. Dante jumped up narrowly dodging the blow and sending a kick to its face sending it flying as it rolled to the ground.

"I'm oddly too good at this. Is this also my Demon instincts?" Dante glanced down at his hands.

It looked human. There was nothing wrong with it but in his eyes it looked demonic as claws as sharp as a blade was seen by only him.

Forming a fist, he launched it at the monster making its head explode.

"3 blows this time. Whatever, not like it matters, I'll get stronger after I kill more of them." Dante smirked at the thought.

Just then, a new window appeared.

[Achievement Unlocked: Kill a being at least B-rank without using any weapons nor getting hurt.]

"That was only an B-rank? So that bloodline really fucked me up." He sighed as he grabbed his head. Just thinking about the future troubles because he couldn't fully fuse with the demon gave him a headache. Dante then looked up for his new skill.

[Skill: Dante's Flamboyance

Passive Skill

Description: Dante is known for many things. Handsome, powerful but what is the most noticeable from him is his stylish fighting style. No matter the situation, this man won't ever do something without having style. Dante is also somehow able to master any weapon he wields even without having prior knowledge. It is his instinct and now it shall be yours. This skill cannot be deactivated.]

"That does fit Dante. Or I guess me now." He smiled. All the time he fought, he was fighting by his demonic instinct and not an actual fighting style.

"I wonder if Royal Guard is as good here as it was in my world." Dante thought. Having all of Dante's styles {without quicksilver and doppelganger} will really help him. Though unfortunately for him, he doesn't have any Devil Arms to make full use of some of these styles.

But just when he thought the reward was good. A new achievement was unlocked by him.

"I... guess I can't complain. I guess the system doesn't like me running around naked." He looked down at himself. If he was in his previous world then he'd instantly get arrested for this.

"Doubt it since I'll probably be able to get away." Equipping the outfit, new clothes appeared on him. Now he looked like the real legendary demon hunter.

His red jacket is faded and a skull on his back. He wears an dark blue shirt with three buttons as the sleeves itself reach through his elbows. On his hand, he wears black driving gloves and white bandages. For his legs, he wears a black belt with golden accents, black leather pants, and brown boots.

His sword was the only thing missing from his look.

"Rebellion huh. Wait that was destroyed. Am I going to get the Devil Sword Dante or the Sparda and Rebellion? There's so many things that I want."

Devil May Cry had a wide variety of weapons that Dante wanted. Whether they'd be Devil Arms to rocket launchers. He wanted all of them for himself. What DMC fan wouldn't.

Looking around him, he saw the corpses of these jungle people. Since they came here then that'd mean that there are more.

Which meant that he could make more achievements.

Which in turn would mean rewards. Beautiful rewards that just the mere thought of it made him salivate.

"If I can get those, I'll definitely be able to take down powerful beings like Monarchs. Even the Rulers will see me in a new light."

Although what happened on earth made him separated from his friends, this was also a golden opportunity. An opportunity for him to be able to go to heights beyond his imagination.

And to one day, maybe just one day.

"To meet my friends. I'll see them after I get strong enough, I can promise that."

No this is not multiversal hoping. It's just his goal... or is it
